Need a Dock adapter to charge iPod touch 1G on new Sony Dock

I have an iPod 1G running iOS 3.1.3 I just bought a Sony Sound dock, and the iPod transmits fine (plays music through the speakers), but it can't charge because the iPod has the old pin configuration, and the Sony Dock has the newer pin configuration. I've seen a lot of dock adapters that allow old docks to interface with newer iPods; do those same dock adapters work for old iPods interfacing with new docks? Any suggestions on dock

Does anyone have any recommendations? I've see that there are adapters for new iPods on older docks - has anyone heard of a pass through for an old iPod on a new Dock?

Yes the manufacturer (Philips) says that the device (CD player with a docking station) should work with my IPod+iOS 6.2.1; we've updated the Ipod to iOS 6.2.1.
We've bought the device this week, so I assume the firmware is up-to-date...
My Ipod also does not work on another device with Apple-docking station, whereas other Ipods do connect with my new Philips device. I think it is pretty clear that my Ipod is the problem?
I think we'd best go to an Applo store?

That must be an old model. Note it refers to Apple part number MA592LL/A. The model I mentioned came out AFTER the 2G was released and works great.

WRONG - it's a regulated power supply that furnishes regulated 5.0VDC. There are cheap power adapters available that use a diode and a couple of resistors to step down the AC voltage BUT I WOULD NEVER use such a device!

Ipod Touch 4g not recognized by docking station anymore

Have got a problem which just arose a few days ago, my ipod touch isnt recognized by my docking station anymore for some reason?
My docking station is a Sony RDH-GTK33iP Mini HiFi and the box it came out of says its compatible, its just all of a sudden my ipod doesnt get picked up by the dock so cant play music or charge. My Ipod was at the time I found out it wouldnt connect, was in "Headphone" mode (no idea how it got into that mode) but now I sussed that out & sound is coming out of the external speaker of the ipod again,
When connecting to the dock, the dock just keeps flashing "CONNECT" and will just keep flashing that whilst the ipod is docked on it until I take it off and then it says "IPOD" which is what it normally says when the ipod is docked and recognized, and also gives a tone confirming theres a ipod docked which doesnt happen now with this ipod, I have yet to try a different Ipod.

- Does the iPod work Ok with the internal speaker and when headphones are connected?
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod and dock for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

Although it still let's me charge it and it shows that it's connected to my pc, but it just doesn't allow me to sync anything. Changing Facetime settings on an iPod will have no affect on cellular settings on an iPhone. Something else is going on there. If she did not change any settings on the phone, then nothing she did could affect your celluar 3G.

what RBRY says. Look at the fine print on your power brick. It says 100v-240v. This means it can handle world wattage.....both the us 110 and the UK/and other places 220. Anything that displays that range works anywhere in the world with the right plug adapter.
You can get plug adapters at walgreens, walmart, target, kmart, best buy, office max, office depot.....almost any major retailer. Look in the travel/luggage area.
Do some googling and find out what Italian plugs look like or you can simply find a kit that is a 'world wide' kit.

Go to www.ecamm.com and d/l PhoneView.
To prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - hold down the 'option' and the 'command' keys when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - key the keys down until the iPod/iPhone is listed under the Devices list in iTunes - this will prevent a sync from taking place.
With PhoneView you can take the content from the device to the iTunes library.

What model iPod and iOS works and which does not?
Sometimes a 4G iPod will not fully sead in the dock because its case configuration is different that previous models.
Also, sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility.
Have you checked the dock manufactuer's support stie for compatibility?
