    software update cant find updates

If you just got an iOS 6 or later on your iPad, you'll want an Intel Mac to get any updates directly from it to the iOS device.  PowerPC Macs won't cut it.  That means go to your Mac's Apple menu -> About This Mac to determine if you have Intel or PowerPC G4, or G5.

  • Optical Drive can't find Adobe Creative Suite 6 disc

As written in the topic, my optical drive can't seem to find my Creative Suite 6 Master Collection disc.
(I am using Windows 7 Ultimate)
Every other disc I tried from BD to DVD-ROM or even CD-ROM worked perfectly fine.
The disc itself is in a good condition (no scratches and such) when I try to open it manually it sais "no disc found" and the drive opens itself so I can insert a disc.
When I tried to force autorun with "run" it gave me the same message "no disc found".
Anyone with ideas how to solve this problem?

  • HT1338 I have a mac os x 10.4 is there anyway to upgrade? every time i try it tells me I need 10.5 but cant find it

I have a mac os x 10.4.11 and is telling me there are no more upgrades. when i try it tells me I need 10.5.  How do i install this, can't find it

10.5 is not longer sold by Apple. It is not downloadable. You can look for a retail copy on eBay or Amazon. If you have an Intel Mac, then you may be able to upgrade to Snow Leopard or higher.
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard — Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service — this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion — System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.

  • Editing software crashing-do I need Display driver update for Satelite C660

    Hi folks,
recently I have installed trial versions of Adobe Premier cs5, then avid media composer and neither of them are loading, (not responding) and Adobe crashes on importerquicktime.prm.
Everywhere I look it seems to be telling me I need to update my drivers, but I have the latest driver available for this model,
    Is it a QuickTime issue?
    Or a driver issue?
Can anyone help me or even let me know what my options are?
    Thanks
    Conor

    Hi
In internet I could find this interesting info:
+I am having issues with the ImporterQuicktime.prm with the new update 5,03.+
+Ive been editing on a project for months, and exported a QT with Avid DNxHD codec,+
+I started another project with this QT DNxHD file (to make sample clips), and then I updated to 5.03, and now PPro CS5 runs very slow, and then locks up. I did read the forums to find a solution.+
+I noticed when re launching PPro CS5, it would hang on the Exporter, and Importer Quicktime .prm, so I tested removing the plugin from the PPro>plugin>common folder. PPro CS5 launches very quickly and runs smooth- although the QT files are off line+
It looks like its not display driver issue If the info above would not help you, you should get in contact with Adobe support

  • Upgrading Hard drive but cant find DVD's

I need to upgrade my hard drive to something larger, but I can not find my original dvd's that came with my imac. Is there something I can do? I did just upgrade to snow leopard and have that dvd but I was not sure if I can do a clean install with a new hard drive.
    Thanks
    Message was edited by: smokeyjw

You can do a new install on a blank hard drive with the Snow Leopard disk. Or you can temporarily mount the new hard drive in an external case or use an adapter such as the NewerTech adapter, clone your current drive to the new unit using Carbon Copy Cloner, Super Duper or a similar utility, then mount the new drive in your iMac. Note that Mac cloning utilities may not work on a Windows partition; you'll probably have to clone that separately.

  • Half restore during update cant find folder or .ipd

    Device info
    Your carrier:
    at&t torch 9810
    Apps and free space
had apps facebook and flixster both up to date
    free memory is 208142220 bytes
I got the error 606 java error and with much head scratching I finally got the phone to plug into my computer to perform an update. When prompted to do the update I checked the box backup and update. The backup completed and went straight into the update. Once the update was complete the restore process began and that's when it all went south. The restore failed in the middle with and error, IM sorry no screen shot, but stated restore failed temporary backup will be stored in.... I was so frustrated I closed the box and couldn't find the folder. I was wondering if there's a place that I haven't looked that it would be accessible. I checked in the backup folder and searched for .ipd folders and nothing. the odd thing is the restore managed to restore my pictures ring tones apps but not contacts or saved messages.

    Hey Jabbaju,
Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
If the file is not showing up in the restore option the best  way to locate the file on your PC is to do a search in All files for  ".ipd" files and check the date of the file.
If the file is located do a selective restore of essential data (Address Book, Calendar, Task, Memos, BBM contacts etc.)

  • Satellite P100-347 (PSPA6E) - need Display Driver update

    Hi all
The display drivers on the driver download page hasn't been updated in ages,
and I would very much like to update to the latest nVidia drivers.
However, when I try and install drivers from www.nvidia.com, they keep referring me to Toshiba,
but the driver we have available from there is only version 8.4.0.0.
Anyone got any tips on how to work around that, and can someone tell me what changes Toshiba has made to the drivers since nVidia redirects you instead of simply updating the drivers.
The windows version that came with the laptop is Windows XP MCE
    Thanks in advance
    Jimmi

    Hi
    > Anyone got any tips on how to work around that, and can someone tell me what changes Toshiba has made to the drivers since nVidia redirects you instead of simply updating the drivers.
The point is that Toshiba own graphic drivers are not the same like the original graphic driver from the card manufacturers.
The Toshiba own drivers are modified and support an overheating protection which helps to protect the hardware from overheating.
Why? Because the notebooks are not equipped with huge cooling modules like desktop graphic cards and therefore the driver must control a part of the heat dissipation!!
As far as I know its possible to install the drivers from nVidia website using the advanced installation procedure. You can update the driver from device manager and could point to the place where the driver was downloaded.
But note; the usage of non Toshiba graphic driver is only at your own risk and its not covered by warranty!!!
    Cheers
