Need a fix for page loading halfway down.

On my laptop, the page for "Glory of Rome" a facebook game, loads halfway down the page. On my desktop I do not have this issue. Would you please provide some suggestions on how I may fix this issue?

hmm but why would you want to cause more delay in displaying the graphics :).
Anyway you can try using the gif that sap uses. Dont know the name though.
See if a progress bar could help you in your problem. But you cannot set a image to it.
This is the closest you could do.
Create a empty view2 in window2. Add a image to the view2 and also a timedtrigger and set the size of the window2 to the image size.
Set the timedtrigger delay to say some 10 secs or whatever and after that close the window2.
That should simulate that effect

FIX for Landscape loading glitches!

I have discovered a fix for the Landscape loading glitches being experienced by some. I had the issue and decided to play around a bit.
I was able to FIX the problem by adding the following line on startup:
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.EXACT_FIT;
That does the trick for me. Let me know if it works for you guys.

UPDATE: I seemed to have narrowed down the issue. It only happens when Google Chrome is onscreen somewhere.

Hello there guys i recently purcheased a Radeon r9 270 twin frozer oc edition by MSI and i only have one problem ,that is the 2d screen flicker and i cannot seem to fix it with the catalyst control center's different versions ,so i was wondering if there is a well known fix for this ,i've heard that i need to tell you my seral number and you will provide me with a vbios or something simmilar that will fix the problem so here i go

Need Spacebar FIX for Win & 64BIT

The spacebar will not work as a move tool on my computer.
I tried closing my browser. Someone kindly posted a fix but it is only for 32bit.
Does anyone at all know of a fix for a 64bit system?

After downloading the fix for pages I can't arrange my documents in a usable order

Ever since I've downloaded the newest update for pages, my documents have rearranged themselves and I can't get them back into a usable order by dragging and dropping. It also doesn't work to move the docs out of the program and leave them on the screen and then try to reinsert them where I want them to be. So my question is: How do I move documents around and get them to stay where I put them? It's probably a very simple task, but when it coms to this machine I am a less than simple user. The iOS versions of the iWork apps uses the same format as iWork '09 so it is not surprising that the files open there. This sure sounds like an older version of Pages is tryiing to open the files. I rarely create documents on my iOS devices, but I just did a test. I created a very simple Pages document on my iPad then downloaded it from iCloud.com on my Mac mini running Snow Leopard & Pages 4.0.4. It opened without problems.
Pages 4.2 is not the latest version for Mountain Lion, 4.3 is. Although I doubt that update would make a difference in your problem, it's definitely worth updating. You can download the standalone updater from this page if Software Update doesn't find it. If updating doesn't work, I suggest doing a Spotlight search for "Pages.app" (without the quotes).

Why does mafia wars page start halfway down screen with 6" of blank space above? how can this be fixed?

when I click on mafia war bookmark the page content loads 6" below the top of the screen.
no other app is affected for instance face book loads correctly, so does vampire wars and zynga poker.
how can this be corrected?

Need a fix for Muse upload problems to GoDaddy???? I found one!

GoDaddy now has a new cpanel named "Plesk". In that panel you will find File Manager. (I use the Windows version). In the left panel of File Manager, you will see the root directory and all of its subfolders. When you click on any of these folders, you will see their contents in the right panel. You will also see a folder labelled "httpdocs". This is the default folder that is set up in GoDaddy to be your "home" folder. So, to fix your upload problems, do these steps:
1. Click on the httpdocs folder to see it open in the right panel. In the toolbar above the right panel, you will see a green plus sign with the word "New". Click on this drop-down menu.
2. Choose "directory"
3. Type in the name of one of the folders that your site will need, e.g. images, css, assets, scripts, etc. This basically creates a subfolder within the httpdocs folder, right? (There is a way to see how your Muse site sets up these folders prior to publish or upload. You do this by choosing "Export as HTML" in the File menu of Muse, creating a folder on your desktop (or wherever) for the HTML export, then inspecting its contents after your save it.)
4. Continue to create all the subfolders within httpdocs that you will need. Unfortunately, you have to do this one folder at a time.
5. After you have them set up, begin the process of uploading your site, like this:
6. In the File menu in Muse, you'll of course see "Upload to FTP Host ...". Click on it.
7. A dialog box will open. In the top text field, type in your website name ... you must use www. with your entry
8. In the "FTP Host" field, type in your domain name again like this ... "ftp.yourdomain.com" ... NO FORWARD SLASHES!!! (even if you find instructions to the contrary, like in Filezilla) (Also, your domain might be a .org or .net, instead of a .com)
9. In the "Host directory" field, YOU MUST ENTER "httpdocs"!!!! Despite what you learn, DO NOT LEAVE THIS FIELD BLANK!!!
10. Then enter your GoDaddy username and password. (If you set up a different username for your GoDaddy account and your Plesk account, like I did, then use your Plesk username and password.)
11. Click on "Upload: All Files"
The next few steps are tedious, but necessary to keep your site organized on GoDaddy and to keep from confusing things. You can probably get away with it, but, if your site doesn't load properly in a browser after doing the above steps, you'll need to click on each folder in the root directory that you copied as a subfolder in the "httpdocs" folder and delete the files. For example, in the left panel of File Manager, you'll see the root directory. Click on the "images" folder. If there are any images that you need for your site in that folder, delete them. Remember ... you've already copied them over to the images subfolder in httpdocs during your last upload described in the instructions above. If you don't trust that you can delete them, click on the "httpdocs" folder, then click on the "images" folder and check the files. Same files, right? So, go ahead and delete the site files that you find in the appropriate folders in the root directory, making sure that you don't delete the ones that are NOT duplicated within the "httpdocs" folder. Also remember that your .html pages will not require a subfolder to be set up in the "httpsdocs" folder. They can just sit there, looking pretty. But you will have to delete them from the root directory to keep things tidy. Just click on the folder icon next to "root directory", and you'll see those html pages in the right panel. Again, delete them.
REMEMBER: To keep your Muse uploads to your GoDaddy site error free, you must ALWAYS make sure that "httpdocs" appears in the "Host directory" field in the "Upload to FTP Host ..." dialog box in Muse. And all files and folders that your site needs MUST go in the "httpdocs" folder in the root directory of your site in GoDaddy's File Manager (now found in your Plesk Panel).
I hope this wasn't too confusing. If so, call GoDaddy. I called them with this fix and they are using it in their phone support.

Hi! My site is basically based on providing share market tips covering finance market. The site was recently migrated from the old look to a new look for a professional view. To make the home page wear a professional look, I am displaying a video like screen for news headlines organising images into jquery effect. But what I experienced so far this jquery effect is slowing down the home page at the time of loading (plz refer the screen shot below). You can check it at Puntercalls Homepage . I'm sure if I embed the normal flash feature in palce of this jquery, it must slow down than the former.
So what I exactly want to know is if there is any advanced feature of Adobe Flash by which the homepage won't slow down while loading.
Kind suggestions are greatly appreciated in advance!

If you just want to change the way that the photo section works, then, it is most likely that a Flash version of the photo display might be smoother and faster to play than the jquery version that you are now using. Its difficult to guarantee a result. You have 10 css libraries and 8 js libraries that are called along with a good bit of inline js that is running on this site. So it will be difficult to say how quickly or smoothly a Flash .swf file will download and play.
I'm guessing that Flash will be faster, but then I also think that going door to door and handing people a print of the photo would be faster than the jquery file that is running. You may want to look at the possible interference that you have on the current site between the various js and css files that are trying to display the content.

Need .avi fix for HP Media Smart?

My system is Windows 7 Home Premium. HP Media Smart was able to play .avi files in the past but will not now. How can I fix this? Windows media does not work either. I checked my files with Gspot and they check out OK, i.e., correct codex.

Need a fix for OSX 10.4 and iPad

The reason I bought a Mac 5 years ago was the reputation and reliability of the product. Shame on me for buying a machine that just wont break! There is no reason to replace my iMac, enter the new Apple iPad that I received for college graduation. I have 15k pics and 6k songs on my iMac, not to mention a couple hundred movies. I now have an iPad that can hold none of them because I have OSX 10.4.11. Apples solution, upgrade to Snow Leopard, oh wait...mines not Intel. Well upgrade to Leopard, but we don't sell it anymore so you'll have to go to ebay or amazon and find it used! Now we're looking at an additional $200 for an out-of-date OS upgrade just to make it compatible with my new and innovative iPad. Way to go Apple, you really dropped the ball on this one.

Jerry, if you must know. I'm a full-time working adult with a wife and two kids. If "Fortunate enough" falls along the lines of taking 11 years to graduate (b/c I paid as I could afford it) and having my wife "give" me an iPad, which essentially IS my income, then yes...I am fortunate enough in Jerry's eyes.
I am not part of the "I'm entitled" generation. I'm just somewhat frustrated that Apple has produced a great piece of technology but did not go the extra step in making it compatible with 10.4.11.

Need a fix for form error checker

I have a form that i have 'tabbed' that shows different
groups of req'd information depending on the clicked 'tab'. The
other 'tabs' are hidden via JS. When I have an error on a hidden
tab of the form, the built in CF form validation breaks and submits
the form uncompleted. The reason i tracked down is that the
generated JS error checking form tries to set the focus to a hidden
area and has a heart attack and bails out before it gets to 'return
false;'. I would like to fix this without changing the original CF
code as this is a isolated incident but is their a way i can bypass
that part?

Thanks for the thought but this does not fix this problem. It only happens on inbound calls and the volume cannot be adjusted and it stays on eardrum-breaking top volume for the duration of the call. When I Googled this once, they seemed to say this is a chronic problem. Corrupt software?
The phone is fully updated with iOS 6 and apps up-to -date. Use iCloud for all three devices and all works well with this one exception.

Need to pay for pages, numbers, keynote etc?

I have a macbook air but pages, numbers and keynote arn't on here. It says i need to pay $20 for each.I tried updating mavericks but it made no difference even though they are supposed to be pre-installed onto the macbook air. Is ther a way to get them for free or do i have to pay?

Your Air comes with iMovie and GarageBand, but not with Pages, Numbers and Keynote. You have to download them from the Mac App Store.
Open the Mac App Store where they can be downloaded and installed free of charge.

Short commnds for page up and down

Hi,
very basic question but in a pc keyboard you have the Home button to press and it automatically goes to the top of the page, safari or document, does anyone know this or something similar on the mac keyboard?

same buttons do the same thing on mac keyboards. on laptop keyboards they may be combined with the arrow buttons and you need to hold the function button to get those actions. so fn+right arrow is the end button and fn+left arrow is the home button. that's how it is on my PB keyboard.
