Need a good App to help with School

I am looking for a good App that I can use to take notes on for college. I will be taking Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. I want to be able to type in text because I can type must faster than I can write in manuscript, but I also want to be able to use my stylus to draw molecular structures and formulas and reactions and things like that. Does anyone know of a good app for this? Paid of Free, it does not matter! I love using Evernote, however, I haven't found that I can draw in notes.

I have Notability, and Pages. I don't know for sure if you can use the stylus or not in that app. However, Notability is a good one I know you can type in it and can draw/write with it. As far as writing your notes in it that didn't work as well for me. This app you can also record the lecture in the same place you take the notes. I would recomend getting it and playing with it a little before you need it. I had a little problem with writing on it, because I set my hand on the screen too, it has a cover but that mostly stops you from making lines all over your notes with your hand. So, if you don't need to set your hand down to write then you maybe ok. It is a good app I like it. Good luck!

Need a little bit of help with substring...

Im very new at java programming, and need a bit of help with a problem:
Here is what I have:
System.out.print("Enter a string : ");
Scanner scan = new Scanner (System.in);
stringy = scan.nextLine();
Now I want to split the string "stringy" like this: h:hi:hip:hipp:hippo
I know this uses substring, but I can't figure out how to do it.
Any help would be great, thanks!

Arrays or Spreadsheets? Help with School Excercise

Hello there, my Control Systems Engineering professor will make us a LabView test in a couple of weeks, although he won't actually teach us the software, but rather we need to get our hands dirty. Anyways, I'm trying to resolve this excercise:
Problem Definition.
On a storage area of a container terminal containers are stored temporarily waiting for further transportation. The location of a specific container along with its code is stored in a database. Whenever the operator types in the code of a container, the according location is shown on the screen.
Demands.
- Take as storing area a rectangle of 3 rows of 4 positions horizontal and 2 positions vertical (24 containers).
- Each containers is identified by a unique alphanumerical code of 11 digits. Digit # 11 is the check digit, being the last digit of the sum of the previous 10 digits based upon the ASCII table.
- When filling the database, the user myst apply the code of the container and its location.
- When searching for a container, the operator applies only the code of the container. On the front panel the according location must be displayed by the program.
- If a container is not found it must be reported by means of an error message.
- If an incorrect container code is inserted it must be reported by means of an error message.
What I've done so far:
I've made a UI and code so that I can type a 11 digit string and the VI will indicate me if its a valid code or not, based in the comparison of the 11th digit.
What I need:
Next step, I believe, is that if the code is valid, I should store it in a database along its position. I know that there is a Database toolkit for LabView, but you must agree it is impractical as this is just an excercise. I was thinking about making an array or a spreadsheet, but have no experience with it. Also it seems that arrays work best with For and While Loops, but I might be wrong... and how can the user assign its position?

Some good info to help with your iphone adventure

Helpful tips for the average user in trouble shooting issues along with some screen/body protection...If you having problems with your iphone
try this first
1. Soft reset--hold down the home key for several seconds allowing apps to reset
If problems cont see #2
2. Hold the sleep/wake button and power off the phone for a brief moment.
If problems still see #3
3. Hard reset--Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button for several seconds should see apple logo and system will keep info
If problems cont to occur see 4
4. Perform total restore from Itunes (YOU WILL LOSE ALL PICTURES ON CAMERA ROLL) Must replace all songs and videos taking 15-20 min

I bought my boyfriend an IPAD for Christmas and saw somewhere an Audiobook for Texas Hold Em Poker. He wants to learn to play the game better but it needs to be an audiobook. I actually bought him the IPAD primarily for this reason but now can't find the audiobook and I'm running out of time.

Just so you know you can buy audiobooks from any site that sells them and just add them to the iPad via iTunes.
Also with an iPad he could just play Texas Hold'em and learn to do it that way so it would seem like you should add a bunch of Poker games too.
As just to make sure you know, you can only sync items with 1 iTunes account so even if you did buy the audiobook on iTunes using your account he wouldn't be able to listen to it using his acoount.

The trial version and the paid version are the same. If you have subscribed to the premium version of Revel using the same email/password that you used on your trial version there is nothing you need do. You can continue using the same Revel app.

Good app to help edit my students' video to attend the Student Film Festivals

I am a teacher of a Video Production Class, and my students and I are trying to use Canon XF105 cameras to do some shootings. The output files are MXF , and this is the first time my students working with this caliber camera. We need to do some edits on our raw videos to make some shot movies in order to submit them to student film festivals. I have tried many ways but this MXF files just can’t load in iMovie successfully. So I use this Pavtube MXF Converter for Mac to help me do this hard step, then I can load them into iMovie flawlessly.

You may want to try Handbrake, which is free, and see if it will convert the MXF file(s) into a format that will work with iMovie. I read a post on another site and the poster said he had converted a short MXF file using Handbrake. Handbrake is free but make sure you download it from the official site. You can try Brorsoft MXF Converter for Mac or Pavtube MXF Converter for Mac (both are $29 each). I haven't used either so I can't attest as to whether or not they will work.

Ummm. Do you think that's a lot of money or something? Think in the range of 40-60 per hour. And if you're talking about warcraft I don't think they java hooks to make bots. I think you need to figure out what your problem is first and maybe learn to code them yourself.

And so the End User, is left to fend for themselves and figure out how to unravel this issues, glitches by companies & their web sites. I have/had the same problem with Qwest and why I now use Verizon, issues with SBC Global and now these issues with VZW.
Qwest offered Bundle & Save, so I had Wireless, Satellite and Internet...well just after I upgraded my Qwest wireless phone, Qwest decided to drop Wireless and left me with a new phone I could not do anything with and was allowing Qwest to flip over to Verizon. Qwest Internet Service sucks big time, as my location does not allow fast internet service due to my location, as told me by one of their Tech making a house call.
So for a year I was paying for something I would never get, as Sales does not know what Tech's know. However, Qwest keeps sending mail advertisements saying Up to 7Mbps, or Fiber Optic Up to 20Mbps, key words are Up To, so if you are paying for 7Mbps and receiving 2.2 Mbps, that is consider Up to the 7, which the 2.2 is unstable and your connection drops frequently. So the Tech downgraded me to 1.5Mbps, otherwise I would of had to pay dearly if I made the change breaking the contract.
So yes we live and learn, even at age 63...I can go on and on how HP, Kodak and others have ripped the consumer off, in this case me. On my 5th system board for the HP dv6000 and now there is a class action lawsuit.
To little too late...Appreciate the reply and not much I can do about the number, once its out there its any ones and I only know that scenario and unwanted calls too well. As john said it may not be what is required, but as the css attribute selector is css2.1, (and further expanded in css3) I would not expect this to be included in a curriculum at this time.
CSS2.1 is only supported by the newer browsers and not IE versions < 7.

Before going much further I'd recommend reconsidering the use
of a textured background. They are usually included for the benefit
of the site owner only, and likely to annoy visitors. Studies on
the subject suggest they often lead to usability problems. I do
like to header graphic, but at 200K it's kinda heavy and can
probably be optimized.

Need a dictation app that works with no internet connection

I frequently find myself without an internet connection on my iphone 5s using the latest iOS but I need to dictate to text. It seems all apps require some sort of cellular connection. Do you know of anything I can use instead? I LOVE Siri but she is not available when I need her. Thank you.
