I have been working on Oracle SQL and PL-SQL since 3.5 years as well as some DBA activities since one year.
I am also interested in Datawarehousing and mining.
What wll be scope?
Could any one guide me what should I do to enhance my skills OR any better suggestion.

Please check the following points.
1. Please check the settings that you maintained in the table CRMSUBTAB in ECC. You need to have an entry as follows:
User: CRM
Object: VENDOR_MAIN
U/D : DOWNLOAD
Object Class: VEND ( & not BUPA for this entry)
Function Module: PI_BP_VENDOR_MAIN_EXTRACT
The other entry (for upload) has similar but different values. (Refer to the OSS note 883162.)
2. Check if you have applied any filter settings in CRM for the adapter object VENDOR_MAIN.

Do I need to wait for update?

A friend of mine gave me this iPad 2 long time ago and it is a iOS 4. I barely use the iPad. So today I wanted to install games such as pvz2 but it said it need iOS 5 or more. When I went to my MacBook to update it. And I click "check for updates" all it say is "This model is iOS 4" I kept on clicking it but when I read the word below it. It say iTunes will check for updates in 12/12/2013 so I did in the next day but it also say the same thing as previous day and it say iTunes will check for updates in 19/12/2013. And the problem is should I wait?

As far as anyone knows you will likely need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or later to upgrade.

In need of guidance for website ad

I am in the process of making a website and I have everything done and ready to go. I had it reviewed and am being asked to put in a ad on the home page. The website I was shown is http://www.dog.com/. On the top of this site is a flash ad but the problem is I have no idea how to make this, what adobe program to use in making it, and what needs to be done to get it onto the site. Please! some type of guidance on this would be greatly helpful. I own the Adobe CS5 Master suite so I know I have the software to do it just don't know where to begin.

Flash is not supported by all web devices (iPhone/iPad/iTouch). Also Flash content isn't visible to screen readers, search engines or robot language translators. So if you use Flash Pro to create your slideshow, you also need to provide alternative HTML content for non-flash supporting devices. Do a Google search for SWF Object Replacement Script.
All that said, you could use an Ajax or jQuery content slider to achieve the same thing without penalty to non-flash supporting devices.

Need a FM for Updating an Currency field into database table

Hi Friends,
i have a problem, i have a field of type currency .
the value is 14,150.00 ; while updating or inserting these value to database i am geting an error of " unable to interpret 14,150.00";,,,
the problem is with the " , " ( Comma) so is there any functional module so that which delete there comma and i can update it to database...
The same problem arises with date field also ,,,

Hi you can use this BAPI for converison to internal format.
1. BAPI_CURRENCY_CONV_TO_INTERNAL
For this bapi you need to pass the currrency into which you want to convert like USD, JPY and the amount.
2. To convert data to internal you can use this FM CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERNAL

Need different processes for Update and Delete buttons

I'm using a customized version of the Issue Tracker sample application. I've added a table called project_person(project_id,person_id) so that a project can have multiple people assigned to it and so that one person can have multiple projects. I have a form report that lists all of the projects with an edit link which opens one project. On the individual project page, there are page items for each of the columns in the project table and a item for the person assigned to the project--this item is pulled from the separate project_person table. I have two buttons--Delete and Apply Changes. If you click on Apply Changes, the project table should be updated and then the project_person table if the assignment was changed. If you click on Delete, it should delete the project_person record first and then delete the project record. I created a new conditional pl/sql process that updated two tables if 'Apply Changes' button is cliicked. I then created a separate conditional process when the Delete button is clicked. This conditional process checks to see if a record in the project_person table exists, and if so, delete the record. Then delete the project record.
The update process works fine. The delete process reloads the list of projects with a success message at the top without actually doing a delete and I have no idea why. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I am not using the automatic row processing, but should I? Or is it ok to have the two separate conditions for the two different buttons?

Check the "Sequence Number" for your processes. Typically, APEX will increment by 10, each time you create a Page Process as I recall. You can set this to be any number you want; even if you duplicate the sequence number (ie: you can have multiple Sequence 10 processes).
Make sure that your Delete process is firing properly and walk through the logic in the source code to be sure that any "IF" or "WHERE" logic is satisfied. For example:
Begin
delete from emp_table
where 1=2;
End;If this was your page process code - you would receive a SUCCESS message because the PL/SQL code executed successfully, even though nothing will be deleted since 1 will NEVER equal 2.
So, check Delete Source carefully.

Need a solution for updating values in table

My oracle version is 11 and my table name is nit_xml in which column name is cust_dtls
Data's of nit_xml table

I just want to update Nitesh to Nit ..
Its i inserted values through this way
INSERT INTO nit_xml
VALUES (

<Cust_dtls> Nitesh </Cust_dtls>

So i tried updating in my own way as like this way
UPDATE nit_xml
SET cust_dtls = '<root>
<Cust_dtls> Nitesh </Cust_dtls>
</root>'
WHERE cust_dtls = '<root>
<Cust_dtls> Nitesh </Cust_dtls>
</root>';
But not working so can anyone give me ideas on XML as how it works and is it possible or not to update through query .. Its note that i want to update column cust_dtls based on same column value and not any other datatype as number or varchar2 because based on other datatype it worked easily and second thing its i am using TOAD application so in that manual updation is possible which is fine but i need to update through query directly ..

Linux DM multipath determines whether or not discovered devices are individual devices or whether they are separate paths to one and the same device. This is accomplished by querying the device serial number. Loaded the new version of Firefox, now I can't get it to open. I keep getting "the computer needs to reboot for updates. when I reboot, it still doesn't work. I tried to remove firefox from the computer, I get the same message. It won't let me remove it.

'The version of mozilla in my program list has 45.5 mb of space but when I look at the download it says it should only be around 15mb.

If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive

2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Get an external hard drive on which to store some of your files after which you can
erase the data from your internal drive to free up space.
5. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
6. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
7. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.

HT1229 iphoto d/l under previous computer owner, what steps do I need to do for updates and to my name?

I bought my mac used and iPhoto was already installed, I now have a bunch of pics in it, but can't get updates and want to uninstall the old and get iphoto under my name. Do I just all pics out, then add them back in?

Go to the Mac App Store main page and click on Support under Quick Links. If you want, you might be able to just delete the iPhoto application and redownload it from your Apple ID.
