Need a job in ColdFusion?

If you are in Hawaii or willing to move to Hawaii, have or can get a Secret clearance, know Oracle SQL (or at least just SQL) and have Security+ cert and Oracle SQL Expert Cert (or can get them real quick) have I got a job for you! MY JOB!
This is doing Coldfusion primarily. It is a nightmare. Seriously. The guy who originally programmed it was clueless and you almost need magic mushrooms to wade through it. Based on Fusebox 4.
The gov't loves me so much I am going permanent at another location. So the contract company that I work for is desperatly seeking a new CF expert. Actually you really need to know ALL Adobe products. I handle Adobe Connect, any and all PDF questions, Flash, etc etc.
Pay is good even for Hawaii. Seems all the CF developers left back to the mainland. Send me a message for more details (like who to contact).

Look for jobs at specialized job sites, you may find several by googling a while. But you'll have to do it on your own.

Help needed for Job

Hi all,
Sorry if this question is a little inappropriate in this forum, but I'm being interviewed for a job and need some advice from Web Developers who use Captivate.
As part of the interview I have been tasked with reproducing an existing elearning module in an improved/enhanced way. The module that I reproduce doesn't have to be completed, but the interview panel want to see what my approach is and will be looking particularly at my design skills/technical ability and rationale for choosing the tools/software that I use to develop the content.
I haven't used Captivate before, but having done some research it seems that Captivate along with Articulate lead the way in the field of eLearning content authoring.
Would you agree that I am taking the right approach by looking at developing something in Captivate?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately you are asking the equivalent here of which type of saw should I use to create this type of furniture?
Certainly Captivate is among the more popular tools for creating eLearning, but whether it's *THE* best tool for this purpose remains to be seen. Unfortunaely, we have no clue what the existing module you are supposed to re-create looks like or how it behaves.
I understand you likely are unable to provide a direct link to anything. But if you were able to maybe describe what the existing module does and how it behaves, perhaps some of us here would then be able to say whether Captivate is a tool that may work for accomplishing that goal.

Need Dreamweaver CS5.5 ColdFusion 8 Code Validator

Hi,
I know someone who has a ColdFusion validator in Dreamweaver CS5.5. They go to the "File" menu, select the "Validate" menu item then select the CF validator. A horizontal box at the bottom of the window fills with errors the code validator has found specific to CF syntax. However, this validator does not show up in my Dreamweaver CS5.5. I do have the validators: "As XML", "Validate Current Document (WC3)" and "Validate Live Document (WC#)" (which is dimmed). She suggests that it may be an Adobe extension that I can load with the "Adobe Extension Manager" found via the "Commands" menu, "Manages Extensions..." menu item, and then select the "Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5" menu item. When I search the ColdFusion Exchange, hundreds of items pop-up. Does anyone know of a good CF code validator that I can search for by name... of if this is even the right place to look? Might this be related to some Eclipse validation tool?

Need Help: Job Status remains in "Assigned"

I am using Redwood for scheduling.
I submitted a job using SAP_abaprun job definition. The job got the "Assigned" status under Job Monitoring. When the job is finished as its status is shown under SM37, the status of the job in Redwood Job monitor remains "Assigned".
Can anyone show me how to get the status of the Batch job updated?

Hi,
If you see a job in SAP, normally the status in CPS should go to running and then to the end state of the SAP job.
What is the status of the ProcessServer for that SAP system ?
Does the SAP job have a remote ID already (should be visible in the job details, you may need to refresh the job monitor to see it).

Where do you guys get your clients? I need side jobs

Sorry if off topic. I use premiere cs4 and AE. I work for a non-profit org so all my work is for them. I would like to start doing small projects outside of work. I placed ads on craigslist but all i seem to get is spam replys. production hub seems slow. How do you guys put yourself out there? I don't really have any connections.

The MOD's will probably move this to the Video Lounge, as that is the proper place for it, so watch in case it "disappears."
In my case, most of my clients come either from my still client-base, or via word of mouth. Many of the latter seem to come from my circle of "friends," and from people related to my social endeavors, i.e. networking.
One possibility would be to offer to do pro-bono editing for other not-for-profit groups. With permission, add full credits, including contact info. I sit on a few charity boards and we often do some major AV productions for the events. As these involve much more than just editing, and I also have a full "dance card," we use some pro-bono (in kind donations) productions. All of our printed materials have full credits to the production houses, and we ask that each do a full credit portion. For materials that we hand out at the events, or use in pre-event promotion, we ask that those production houses put their credits on the printed discs. This obviously helps us (pro-bono production), so we want to help them. I will also donate editing time, where appropriate, to those suppliers, should they need additional work.
Back when I was shopping my portfolio more actively, I donated my services to organizations like the Denver Art Directors Club, and the Denver Ad Federation. I picked up dozens of clients from the donated projects. It also gave AD's and Creative Directors an opportunity to work with me on the pro-bono projects, so that they knew my capabilities and personality - at no charge to them.
Lot of good comes from doing a "favor" under the right circumstances.

Need help with some Coldfusion data structures

I need to keep some sort of a list that contains a page, and then that page will have associated with it values. So,
if I have page 1, I may have values 240, 245, 300. Then, on to page 2, and I will have say, 344, 29, etc.
So, what I will have is something that "could maybe" be a 2 dimensional array where one of the elements is a list?
Or, do I set up a struct say, page.number and page.value list, and put that struct in an array?
Plus, the fun part is I have to save this bad boy in session. I've been looking around the web for some examples, no
luck. So, to reiterate:
I have a page number that has to be associated with a list. That entire structure needs to be in an array or list of
some sort, and stored in session.

Need multiple datasets from ColdFusion

I want to get some non-related data from a few different
tables in a database all at creationComplete(). Is there a way to
pull multiple distinct queries in one function and assign them to
individual ArrayCollections?

Not sure is this is a CF question you have or an AS question.
They way I dod this kind of thing (and I don't use CF or any of the
regular classes in AS either) is on the server I'll construct an
xml document that essentially is a merge of each of the "datasets".
Then on the client and split the xml document into its
dataset parts and assign them to the relevant classes that are
interested in these datasets.
Very high level explanation, but I'm not sure what you're
using on the client side and what options you've already explored.
