Need a new adapter

For some strange reason im power adapter has stopped working! While I was using my laptop the power in my bedroom went out, a breaker had flipped. I turned it back on but wasnt getting any power from it. I tried several different outlets, there is no green light. I guess it could be a loose dc jack but I dont think so. I plugged the adapter into a different laptop and didnt get any power from it. And plugged in a different adapter into mine and it worked okay, it kept switching from ac to dc but I think that was because its a completely different adapter. Anyway long story short I need to replace the adapter and need to know where I can purhase one? Thanks!

I dont think you understand the problem at hand, he means his power adapter stopped working after a power surge from the look of it. No amount of driver updating is going to fix that L0L.
I recommend maybe you go to a msi reseller or warranty fix place, and either try ask for a new one explaining the situation or buy a new one.

Do I need a new charger?

I have an iBook G4 and my charger isn't charging the battery. When it gets plugged in the LED ring lights up but the pin in the middle of the charger has come off and now it won't charge. Do I need a new one or is it something else? If I do, where do I get one from as I can't find one on Apple website. Thanks

If by the pin you mean the part that plugs into the computer, you need a new adapter. The pin is what provides power to the computer.

Your best bet is eBay. Here is a sampling of what is available here. You may want to check on eBay in the UK.

This is not my problem. However, I think it may be related to an old speaker. I was using the 30 pin adapter for about a week after the upgrade to 7.1.2. But I think with the update the speaker won't work anymore. I will try with a new speaker system. Thank you for trying to assist.

What do you mean by "updating"? If you mean "updating the software", the answer is no. If you mean buying a newer iPhone, the answer dpends upon which newer model you bought.

New battery needed and possibly new adapter?

I have a Macbook I bought back in 2008 and I know I need a new battery. My condition says "Replace now." Recently I've noticed that the light on my charger has been going out and sometimes isn't charging the battery. Is this just because I need a new battery or do I need a new power adapter too?

there is one way to test to find out which one has the issue, the Charger cable or the Battery. or Both?
firstly if the battery says " replace now" I would recommend investing in a New Battery, if the battery icon at the top of your screen says " Not Charging " its more then likely that its down to the battery needing to be replaced ,
In regards to the Charger, You Could try removing the battery , and running the Mac from the mains cable directly ?
see if the light goes out in the same fashion without a battery being installed, then you will find out if you have an issue with that Cable its self too.
I have seen Mains cables inwhich the "little Light " is broken but they normally still charge the battery fine

HP DV7-3165dx Needs New Adapter - Help?

My HP dv7-3165dx needs a new adaptor as the original one no longer works. Should I just buy this one in the HP store? The original was a 65W. I've been using a 90W one a family member lent me just so I can use my laptop. I just want to make sure it's fully compatible and the best choice. Never had to buy an adaptor before. Lately my laptop just seems to be getting...old and tired, I suppose!

65W or 90W or 120W can be used. The main 2 things: the tip and voltage. Voltage can be minus/plus 5% but the tip MUST be fit perfectly. Many machines come with TWO units, the first one is for on the road (lighter and smaller).

Macbook Pro not charging; do I need a new Magsafe Charger?

I have an early 2011 13-inch Macbook pro. Recently, I've noticed that my magsafe charger does not charge my laptop. The light turns on (dull green, not bright like it normally is) and the power source is switched to the power adapter, but the adapter does not charge the laptop (see photo). I have tried the following troubleshooting steps to no avail:
1) I cleaned the magsafe port, there was no debris t begin with
2) I reset the SMC
3) I tried different outlets
When I used my roommate's charger (from a much older macbook with the T-shaped connector) , the laptop was able to share up just fine. So my questions is whether I need a new charger or whether I can fix mine somehow?

i have just moved from Australia to the UK, and I am wondering if I need a new charger for my PowerBook G4 given that the UK has a different voltage to Australia.
I have the adapter for the power point, but do I need a voltage converter too?
Confused... I went to the Mac store in London but they didn't seem to know!!!! The guy tried to sell me a USB charger for my ipod instead?

I've travelled with my powerbook from the US to the UK, Bahrain and New Zealand. It works in all countries without a voltage adapter because they automatically adjust for the different voltages. You may need an adapter for the actual plug in the wall part, but those are cheap and can be got at most electronics stores.

i have recently attended the sapteched and there is a session on new adapter development. unfortunately i could not attend it. when i was going through the excercise doc i have come across the below lines.
Change the file contents of all the files in sample_ra.jar.
The files contain the package name/path of the sample_ra adapter. We will have to change them
to our own package/path names. When doing so, text editors such as TextPad or UltraEdit can
be used to perform changes to all the files at once, easing the process. (Please note also, instead
of using text editors, all the files can be loaded into NWDS and use the u201CRefactoru201D and search-nreplace
capabilities within NWDS to accomplish the same.)

Do I need an active adapter for my third monitor? (GTX 770)

I have a GTX 770 and with it a 2560x1440 monitor is connected through Dual-DVI.
I want to connect my TV and a second 22" computer screen to my graphics card. The MSI 770 Gaming has this:
Dual-link DVI-I x 1
Dual-link DVI-D x 1
DisplayPort x 1 (version 1.2)
HDMI x 1 (version 1.4a)
Is it possible to connect my screens so that I do not need an active adapter? Let's say the 27" screen goes to a Dual Link DVI, the TV connects to HDMI, and the 22" screen connects to either the last Dual Link DVI or the DisplayPort.
Is this possible?

If Vodafone operates anything like AT&T here in the States, once the SIM has been inactivated by the carrier, you would need a new one. I usually get a new SIM when I swap phones. I may be supersticious, but I think it reduces problems.

I have some information for you that can help you troubleshoot this issue a little further. That information can be found right here:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

Cretaing a new adapter using the existing file adapter

Is it possible to create a new adapter type copying the existing file adapter. That is I want to create a new adapter type for example "FNFS" and use the same module callsapadapter which is used in the File adapter. So that this new adapter type "FNFS" functions like the File adapter,
What are the actions I need to perform to acheive this.
