Need a PDF viewer - how to get premium version of the ToGo apps when I don't have a TELUS data plan
Hey all ...
Is there a way to download and install a premium version of the ToGo apps (or just the PDF Viewer component - I searched the latter term and found one relevant thread wherein sdgardne had made reference to the premium ToGo apps) on my device from an installation executable within the Windows environment?
Or at least get the necessary file onto the device via Windows?

How do I do a complete reset with Lion when I don't have a disc (bought OS on App store). When using OS X Snow Leopard I get the message "not allowed". Is Lion available on Disc? Don't really want to buy it again... The only way I can see doing this is booting from an OS disc.
What exactly are you trying to do? Reinstall Lion clean, IE without first loading Snow Leopard?
Or are you trying to go back to Snow Leopard as the operating system.
If you want to reinstall Lion your best bet is to go through the downloading process and SAVE that file and then use LionDiskMaker ( a small program) to make a Lion install USB thumb drive. Then wipe the drive and do a complete clean reinstall.
If you want to go back to Snow Leopard you will need to boot the system from the SL DVD and again Wipe the drive and then install SL. -

I always do my Rentals with the itunes program on the computer.
Make rental from itunes store. It will show in movies under library, DO NOT click to play it. Plug in the device to the computer. Click the name of the device on left. Click on movies. There is an option to copy to the device. Sync. obviously you still need space on ipad to put rental but you can have it take computers hard drive space until you need it. -

There are several very good third-party podcast apps you can download from the app store.
Personally, I'm very happy with "DownCast". I've given up on the apple podcast app, and DownCast seems to do everything I need. My whole family uses it. -
UDF: how to get a value in the previous record when lopping over records?

Now the case is, that IF the value of ID of the current record (row) is equal to the value of the ID of the previous record AND the Score value of the current record is bigger than the Score value of the previous record THEN a record in the target message must be created with these values:

I am thinking of using GlobalContainer to store the previous values but am note sure how to maintain these previous values. In addition, I am thinking about using a UDF on the target row record, which will just create the row, if conditions are met (result.addValue("");) and then just make a simple mapping of the ID_target, Score_current_date and Date_current fields and make an other UDF for the Score_yesterday field where I get the Score for the previous record using the GlobalContainer value, that I stored in the other UDF.
BUT:
Should I use "All values of context" or "All values of Queues" in the UDF used on the row record and how do I make sure, that the Score_yesterday global container value is maintained correctly? I am planning of setting it in the UDF used on the Target row record but will it then be in sync with the consuming UDF of the Score_yesterday field?

Do I not get full versions of the CC software when I buy a CC membership?
So I bought my CC membership back in January I think. And the first thing I did was install Premiere Pro CC. I needed it. Now about a month later, I need it again, and it says that I'm on a trial version. I signed into my CC, and tried again, but it still tells me I'm on a trial. The same thing happens with Speedgrade. Apparently after paying for 2 months of subcription, I can only use a 30 day trial version of the software I need. Is this a normal thing? Or should I call adobe, and get this fixed? I'd really really like to have working software on my computer, and I'm spending the money to have it. I'm in college, and on a pretty tight budget, so if I don't get actual versions of the software, I'm going to cancel my subscription. Nowhere on the literature on the CC does it say that you only get access to 30 day trials of most of the software. Please give me a hand here. I need to know if I should end my subscription or not.

How do I view pc files migrated to iMac? The folders tell me I don't have permission to open them.
I used the Migration Assistant tool to copy files from my WindowsXP pc to my new iMac. This took about 3 hours to complete.
I finally was able to locate the folders on the iMac, but they all have a red minus sign in the bottom right corner, and when I try to open them, I get a message saying I don't have permission to open the files - even though they are my own files. can i get some help?It's not clear from your post what you're actually trying to accomplish. Using your phone as a WiFi hotspot means that you are using the phone's cellular data connection to create a WiFI network for other devices to connect to. Is that what you're trying to do? If so, contact your carrier and have the feature added to your account.
If you're trying to get broadband internet at your house so that you can connect to your phone to a WiFi network and avoid using cellular data, you'll have to find an internet service provider in your area and arrange for service with them.

Versioned deployments: how to deploy different version of the same app ?
I 'd like to deploy on a server (single instance) different versions of the same web application, say:
webapp1.war
webapp2.war
webapp3.war
The wars have the same ContextRoot.
It is possible to version them with an attribute in MANIFEST.MF, but is it possible to have the N applications ACTIVE and running ? I'd like that one IP will be served from webapp1, another IP from webapp2, another IP from webapp3, etc.It may your 'requirement' but I have serious doubts that the app review team will approve it. Save yourself the waste of time and follow my original suggestion of one app. That's the only correct 'method' (w/IAP of course) that will have a chance of success.

I have had problems with Safari and OS 10.6.8 (I think caused by Apple getting ready for Lion!) but after a lot of uninstalling etc I now have Safari, Camino and Chrome (all most recent versions) automatically sending downloads to Speed Download.
Speed Download Plugin v 2.1.5 is installed; I do not know what or where to adjust or reset to get Firefox letting its downloads be picked up automatically once again like the other three browsers.Lightning is a problem for you because it hooks into Thunderbird at a low level and you need a version compiled for the platform Thunderbird is running on. So you can't do the preferred solution, which is to put your whole profile in a shared folder and have both instances of Thunderbird reference the same profile. (Ditto for Enigmail). Lightning may become an integral part of Thunderbird in an upcoming release, at which point this limitation due to Lightning should disappear.
And if you can't use a shared profile, you can't set your Lightning, or your Address Book, to share a common set of files. Put another way, the linkage from Thunderbird to its address book files and calendar data is hard-coded, and not exposed where we can adjust it. :-(
The halfway house is to place your mail stores in a shared place, and use the Local Directory setting in each account's settings to connect to it. They don't need to be in the profile; what's more important in your case is that they are in a folder accessible to both operating systems.
Look in your profile; everything under Mail and ImapMail needs to be moved out to a shared folder. Note the entries in Thunderbird under Local Directory before you do this, and reconstruct those pathnames in Thunderbird, but adjusted to suit their new locations.
(You can see here that you need to make many adjustments, one per account, in each instance of Thunderbird, so it's a high-maintenance solution and this is why we don't recommend it when the alternative, moving the whole profile, is possible.)
I share address books and calendars between Thunderbirds on various computers (and my phone and tablet) by syncing to something in the cloud; Google Contacts and Google Calendar are my choices, using gContactSync and CalDav.
Having made the break myself some years ago, I'd recommend you break away from Windows. ;-) -

I don't believe that you can actually "delete" a built in app. You most likely just "hid" it. Look in "device information" then scroll down to "more information" tap "software" and see if it's listed there. If so, it's probably greyed out. Tap it and you should have a choice to unhide it.
