Need a printer driver

I have an old G3 iBook running OS 9.2.2 and I need to get hold of a printer driver for a Stylewriter 1200.
Does anyone have one lurking in their system that they could email to me? I've tried searching the net and Apple site for one, but no joy so far.

Updated my Windows 8 to Windows 8.1, which removed my print driver for an Officejet 7210 all-in-one. Attempted to reinstall. Error that file not found. Followed detailed process to a tee (deleted temp files, removed startup programs, everything). Driver doesn't work but printer does with other computers. Printer is no longer supported and no help (but is in great working condition).
I'm looking for a generic driver that would work with my printer and Windows 8.1. I really appreciate any help...

Hi LChristofaro,
I have researched your error message and the Msiexec.exe error and it is an issue with windows installer. I recommend restarting your windows installer.
To do this:
1. Run "Services.msc" (without the quotation marks).
2. Double-click "Windows Installer" in the Services list.
3. Click Stop and click OK.
4. Click Start and click OK.
Restart you computer and try the install again.

The Deskjet 1220 driver was written by HP and is supplied through Windows Update. AFAIK it has been available since Windows 8 was originally released.

Need HP Print driver that works with OSX Lion 10.7.4

I recently got a new modem and I need to update my SSID and password on my HP wireless printer. The printer software that came with the printer and on the hp website for the printer only supports Mac OSX and doesn't work for OSX Lioin 10.7.4
Is there a way to get software that could update my printer or should i remove and somehow reinstall the printer with different software?
Kids need to print their homework....help!

You should use the Setup Assistant to reconfigure the wireless connection:
Make sure the printer turned on and connected to your Mac by USB.
Go to Applications\Hewlett-Packard\Device Utilities and follow the HP Setup Assistant. it will guide you to connect the printer to your new router.
If you can't find the Hewlett-Packard folder you will need to install the HP software by selecting the HP Recommended Software, the software van be found in the following link:

I have just purchased a Canon Pixma MG2900 printer and need to find a driver for this printer that will work with my MacBook Pro Operating System OSX Version 10.4.11.
I was directed to iTunes PIXMA/MAXI, but it didn't seem to download for me. It did say that it was for IPads or IPhones, not sure that it's intended for use on a computer.

Need networked printer driver for HP LJ 1022N for Windows 8.1 x64

We've had this printer setup on our Windows 2003 print server for years & now that I'm transitioning to a Windows 2012 print server & Win 8.1 clients, the only driver I'm finding is a host-based driver for usb. Is there another driver I can use on the print server for this printer? It wasn't listed in the UPD supported list nor is it in the HP list in the Add driver dialog after updating from Windows Updates. I appreciate any help you can provide!

I understand your concerns with the Laserjet 1022N. If you're looking for a Windows 2012 print server, then there is no full feature software. Now, for your Windows 8.1, there is a full feature software on the HP website here.
If you need help install this software over a network connection, then please follow this HP document on Installing the Printer Software in Windows 8.1 for a USB or Network Connection.

Now that I have updated to the newest OS I'm frustrated because neither Hewlett Packard nor Apple has a driver for the printers that I have. So I can't print from my laptop to any of my printers. goto SPAD , select full adminstration
click in device types(tab)
click device types, double click your printer device from the list (Ex, SWIN),
CLICK "FORMATS", goto your page format and double click on it, if printer initialization is active double click on it and comment all the code by placing # in the beginning... as this is the place where it overrides printer settings...

I need a printer driver for OS X Mavericks and a Kyocera FS -1118MFP

My printer doesnot work in the Apple envivorment with the driver I use for my windows computer and I can't find the correct driver on the site of Kyocera.

You could try using the Generic PostScript PPD wwhen adding the printer. If that doesn't work, you should probably contact Kyocera to see if they will support your printer.

Need printer driver for Style Writer 2400

I need a printer for my Power Book G3 running OS 9.0.4. It has a printer extension for a Style Writer 2500. I found a Style Writer 2400 on line and need a printer driver for the 2400 OR will the printer 2500 extension work for the 2400. Also, what is the differnce between the 2400 & 2500 ?

probably my misuse of 'best' - by 'best' I meant one that actually operates properly with full functionality.
I have been using HP for a while and always find that there is one little bit of the app that does not work with Mac and in the past HP have always said 'oh well we don't design for Mac'.

It seems that it is policy for HP (and other printer vendors) to only supply product-specific printer drivers for new models when those new models are introduced.
Thereafter (and especially when new operating system versions are subsequently introduced), the only HP drivers supplied for older printer models are the Universal Printer Drivers (UPDs), one each for the Page Description Languages (PDLs) PCL5, PCL6 and PostScript).
One or more relevant basic drivers may also be available as drivers built-in to the Operating System version you are using, as mentioned in this document:

Missing print driver when adding rendezvous printer

Hello all, hopefully you smart people can help me.
The new iMac (10.4.9) is glorious and printing on the new HP Photosmart D5069 via USB, no problems. I want to share the printer with two laptops (an iBook and Powerbook, both running 10.3.9). I enabled sharing.
When I go to add the printer on the laptops, under Rendezvous printing it sees the printer at the iMac (@ computer). I add it, but then I need the print driver.
So I stepped back and installed the HP software disc on the laptops to get the print driver on there. I installed it via USB. I can print from a laptop to the printer via USB.
However, when I return the printer to its USB connection on the iMac, and then proceed to add the shared printer via Rendezvous on the laptops, I still can't find the printer driver. Under Printer Model/HP there is no Photosmart D5xxx model. Using the generic print driver leads to no printing via Rendezvous (it shows up in the queue on the iMac, but no printing occurs).
So how do I add the correct print driver? It must be on my hard drive, since I can USB print, but I can't reveal its presence to Rendezvous.
As an added note, I thought Rendezvous was supposed to make it EASY. If you have to add the print driver manually, I'm not sure how that helps using Rendezvous.

Repair permissions (Disk Utility) after any HP driver install. Then restart the computer and try Adding the printer.
For troubleshooting, try using the HP Photosmart P1100 Gimp-Print driver included in OS X. If you don't see that either, you may need to update your laptops with Gutenprint, the new name for Gimp-Print drivers:

As far as we can tell, no Apple employee reads these user-to-user discussions (except the admins).
