    Just call 1-800-MYIPHONE
    Your call will initially be handled by a first level technical person, but he will have to refer you to a  senior advisor because they are the only ones who can issue a refund.
    Once you have a senior advisor on the phone, he will ask for your Apple ID, last 4 of your credit card or a security question, and then issue a refund IMMEDIATELY.

    They're in the backup of your iPhone which is created by iTunes automatically as part of the sync operation. But you can't get at them that way.
    With your iPhone connected to your PC, use whatever image-yanking software you would use with any other USB camera in order to get the images from your phone's Camera Roll onto your computer.

    I have just done this and it works.  Dial 1-800-275-2273, this is a US number so if calling from the UK, use Planet Talk to get this at 0.5p per minute.  Go through the voice recognition program.  You will finally be put through to a representative who will ask you various security questions, Apple ID, home address, last four numbers of credit card etc.  The refund, which is refundable within 15 days of purchase, is done within minutes.  A bit of a performance to get through, but once you do, its an easy process.  This is probably too late now, but maybe be useful for next time.

    Then had a box to type in my message.
    I just wrote that I had misunderstood the nature of the extra storage I paid for 3 days ago and wanted a refund.
    Then I filled in name, email, phone number and IPad serial number on the next page and clicked submit.
    The first operator phoned my mobile number immediately, listened and transferred me to the refund office where I was asked the usual security questions and part card details to confirm my identity before the refund was put in place.
    She said it might take 5 days, so I will be checking my bank account each day to see.

My iPhone says to contact support for a full refund within 45 days. Used iTunes and "reported a problem" with the storage purchase but was routed to the wrong customer support team who then suggested I seek support through iCloud. Well there's lots of topics and associated links - none for a simple refund. Any help (preferably a working link that takes me right to the correct form screen to submit my iCloud storage refund request) is greatly appreciated.
