Need AC Charger for Micro Ph

The Creative website doesn't have the AC adapater for the Micro Photo in stock, and hasn't for some time. I've seen a ton of "generic" AC Chargers on Ebay going very cheap. Does anyone use these, and how do they work? How long to charge a Micro Photo I've read some things on this and other boards that people are having problems getting these to charge their players and have to "lock charge" their player to get it to work. What is lock charge, and how do I access it's
Basically, I want to know if these car and wall chargers work or not, and if I need to do anything special to get it to work.

You can use this one: PA3083U-1ACA
Its the original AC-adapter which was shipped with the machine. Just search for the part number from above and you will get what you need.

help please i have an older ipod and i need to find a charger for it please help model number m8541

So, if that is your iPod model, and you have a computer with a FireWire port, which even the current Macs do not have anymore, the cables are commonly available.  However, the one to get depends on the type of FireWire port you have on the computer.  The two likely types are 6-pin (older FireWire 400) and 9-pin (newer FireWire 800).  Your iPod has the 6-pin (400) port.
Apple-centric vendor OWC has a selection of all types
    http://eshop.macsales.com/catsearch/firewire+1394+cables
If your computer has 9-pin (800), you need a 6-pin (400) to 9-pin (800) cable.  If it has 6-pin (400) that looks like the port on the iPod, then you need 6-pin to 6-pin.

  • Need car charger for Satellite A100

    Hi all
Does anyone know if there is a suitable car charger for my Satellite A100? I can't find one on Toshiba's site, but I have seen several on ebay. I don't want to mess up my laptop, has anyone used one & if so where did you get it & what was the cost?
    Thanks

  • HT1353 I need a charger for this iPod

I am trying to find a charger for my iPod classic 20g and I am having a hard time finding one. Can any one help me?

An iPod with a 20GB hard drive can be 2nd gen, 3rd gen, or 4th gen.  You can take a look at this document
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1353
2nd gen = iPod (Touch wheel)
3rd gen = iPod (dock connector)
4th gen = iPod (click wheel), iPod photo, or iPod with color display
Which one do you have?  Each of the above uses a different docking cable.
By "charger," I'm assuming you mean the docking cable, and not a power adapter (that plugs into a wall outlet to "charge" the iPod).

  • Why does Apple need to charge for feature updates, but Sony doesn't?

Ok, so I know all about the subscription-based accounting reasons for why Apple has to charge a nominal fee for firmware updates that provide new features to the iPod touch (but not iPhone).
I don't have a problem with this fee, and personally think its quite reasonable, and am happy to pay it.
However, I'm curious as to why Apple has to charge for these updates, but Sony doesn't - and I've not been able to find a reason.
Since the release of both Sony's PSP and PS3 video game consoles, Sony have frequently released firmware updates that add many minor and some very significant new features to both consoles, as Apple have done with the iPod touch.
However, Sony has never charged for these new features. Does anyone really know why there's this difference?

You better believe that any company doing business in the US has to follow US laws. You don't get to just say, oh well we have our headquarters in another country so we can do what we want in yours. Hehe I am pretty sure diplomatic immunity doesn't come with selling something in the US. The accounting reason is a sham. Apple knows that their customers are desperate for "coolness" and will sacrifice features and customer service and pay for that privelege.
What really gets me is that I already bought the January update. The only thing 2.0 adds is the "priveledge" of paying Apple to buy applications. So of course I bought the 2.0 update because I am an idiot and now my audiobooks will not play. Will they support it no. I buy an update from them, it screws up my ipod and then I can't even call or email to get some help. Instead I have to travel an hour to the nearest Apple store. I recently bought my first iPod but after all the horrendous experiences I have had with their lack of support and idiotic "geniuses" at the genius bar, I will never buy another apple product. Which is too bad because they have the most elegant and fun to use interfaces. However, I would rather have something a bit less elegant but that I can get service on without a 3 hour time commitment on my part.

  • For my USA trip: do I just need a charger for the US to plug-in or do I need a converter as well to go to 110 Voltage?

    Hello everybody,
I will go to California in 3 weeks. In order to charge my iphone4 I was wondering :
do I just need the correct (american) plug or also the converter to change power from 220 to 120 ?
    Thank you for helping !
    Angela

    Just the American "plug".

  • Need car charger for 3G

    What do you suggest?
Given that not all chargers work for the 3G (only the firewire seem to work), do I need a car charger with a firewire connector?
This one seems okay and is made by Griffin:
    http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Technology-PowerPod-Firewire-Charger/dp/B00016V3VI
The picture shows firewire connectors on both sides of the cable but the description says:
Includes 4-foot FireWire cable with dock connection
Its not clear what the cable is and whether I will be okay with it.

Click ( www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html) for tips on how to prolong iPhone's battery life.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.
If the screen shows a low-battery image, the battery is low on power and needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it.
When charging iPhone, make sure to leave it charging until it is fully charged. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen looks like this .
Note: When charging using a computer, don't connect iPhone to a keyboard. Also, the computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPhone battery may drain.
Note: Charging with a FireWire-based power source is not supported, except on original iPhone.

  • I have an SIII and will be traveling out of the country.  Do I need to get a micro SIM card ? (I was told that Verizon has them for free but it needs to be set up and there was a charge for this.

I have a Samsung SIII and will be traveling out of the country. Do I need to get a micro SIM card instaslled for international ?  I was told Verizon has them free for customers but that it needs to be "sert up". Also, are there alternatives to going through the verizon data plan (which is very expensive.
    Thanks

Your phone already has a micro SIM card in the device so it can connect to the VZW network. You will need an international plan from VZW if you intend to use that SIM card. Otherwise you can get a new SIM card from the local carrier and setup the phone for global use with a separate APN with that carrier's specific information.

  • External charger for Zen Micro batt

I just got my new Zen Micro and so far it is the best looking mp3 player I have seen but I just hope (knock on wood) tha is doesn't run into any of the issues posted. The one thing that I thought was the best feature about the Zen Micro is that I can remove the battery from the unit but to really make it usefull I should be able to have one battery in the Zen MIcro while the other is charging. This way I can have non stop tunes. Is there an external battery charger for the Zen battery?
Also, how do I know if I have an older unit that had all the problems with the headphone jacks?
One more question, when I try to pause I sometimes have to pres the pause/play button two or three times. I have the touch pad setting to medium. Should I start to worry or is this normal.
    Thanks

There's no external charger. The low volume of sales will likely make it a high cost item, so Creative have presumably decided it's not worth it. If you really want you can always buy another player I'm guessing this won't be far off the likely cost of an external charger. There are some third party Lithium Ion chargers out there, but you need to have a special plate designed for the battery terminals. You'll have to Google to find them as I don't have the link to hand.
I find with pause that sometimes there's a delayed response, as if the player is busy. Wait a few seconds and try again, rather than say mashing the controls

  • My ipod touch 4th generation no longer holds it's charge for more than 40mins,needs new internal battery but I have no idea how to go about this. i love my ipod and don't want it to loose power completely, can anyone help?

My ipod touch 4th generation no longer holds it's charge for more than 40mins from full power, think it needs a new internal battery but have no idea how to go about this and am no longer covered by my guarantee. Can anyone advise me on what's best? Thanks in advance

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use an Apple wall-mount charger.  Do NOT use a computer's USB port.  Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).  An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the exact procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem.  I am stating, however, that we don't yet know whether or not a battery problem exists.
    According to Apple:
    Use Your iPod Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.
