Need Acrobat Pro 9 Volume License installer

I just finished a very frustrating chat session with the Adobe support people who notified me that they could not help me in any way when it came to aquiring the Acrobat Pro 9 installer from the Volume Licensing Center. I have a valid serial and need the installer. How does one go about getting this to happen?
Thanks.

Thanks again Jeff. Here's the thing:
When I contact an agent they tell me they can't help me because they don't have access to the software and tell me to try the forums. Now, the forum is telling me to try an agent. You can see how this isn't going to solve the issue.
Is this solution possible? I'm happy to have my key verified.

I need to install a volume license for Adobe Acrobat Pro from an old to a new computer
I have the correct License Key which I checked on Adobe License site but when I enter it
    is says it's incorrect

    Problem solved,
I found the original Adobe installation files on our system that we used to first intall Acrobat Pro.
Using these files with the correct volume license key we were able to install the programme on our new Computers.
I was also informed by Adobe Help that I could also download these file from the Adobe License website after logging in.

Need the Medial for these two products:
Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - Volume License

I need a link to download or a copy of ISO if anyone has it.

  • How to specify license triad for volume license installer

I'm trying to create a volume license installer and specify a license server triad for server settings.  However it gives me an error if I enter 3 servers.  It only allows me to enter one server name.  How do I specify a triad?  For example: licsrv1:27050,licsrv2:27050,licsrv3:27050

    ecaille,
First, I jsut wanted to mention that if you want help with VLM in the future, it is best to post in the VLM specific forum located here.
To solve this issue you have to use a workaround because the Volume License Installer creation process does not support more than one server, and unfortunately the XML files that are used for the installers also won't accept more than one server.
To fix this you can create 3 separate Volume License Installers, one for each server. You can then create a batch file that runs the first complete VLI (just running setup.exe so the software installs also), and then runs the vlmclient.exe from the second two VLIs. The vlmclient.exe is the file that adds the servers to the computer. Therefore by running the first VLI you install the software and the first server, and then you append the second and third server names to the registry key for the server by running the second two vlmclient.exe files. Note that you need to keep the Client folders (that contains vlmclient.exe) separate because you need to run each separately as the XML files have different configurations to add each new server.
The shortcut for this is to simply copy the Client folder from the first VLI you create, and edit the <server></server> tags in the vlmclient.xml file in the two copies you make to contain the other two servers.

  • Embedding video in PDF, keeps says it cant convert and need Acrobat Pro Extended?

I have Acrobat Pro 9 and with using the tool to embed video which seems to convert to a flash format, it keeps coming back saying its unable to convert and that I would need Acrobat Pro Extended.  I tried a handfull of different video types and every one that I chose gave me the same message.  All it will seem to do is somehow link to the video whcih will use the viewer installed on that persons computer to run.  It seems to give you the ability to convert video over but it doesnt let you for anything you choose, what am I doing wrong?
I have Acrobat Pro 9 Extended at work which I tried the same thing with and of course, that worked.  Is the Extended part by any chance just a patch for Pro 9 or is it a totally different purchase?

"Add multimedia to PDFs" at Acrobat Pro's LiveDocs may help to clarify.

Looks like the following general observations apply.
If the multmedia file(s) meet the identified requirements for Professional it is "in".
If the multimedia file(s) do not, then conversion is required - but conversion is only available in Pro Extended.
That you get a "need conversion" message, from Pro that would be indicative of an input that does not meet the specified requirements for direct use in Pro.
An alternative might be to try "Create Legacy ..."
Legacy multimedia will rely on the end-user having the appropriate player application installed.

  • Need Acrobat Pro to assemble master PDF from dissimilar sized PDF's?

I have a need to create a master PDF (portfolio) from other PDF's, with the master PDF containing Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and different size CAD drawings already converted into PDF's.  Do I need Acrobat Pro to manage the dissimilar sized documents, or is Acrobat Standard sufficient.
Other question - to annotate the master PDF with highlighting, emphasis boxes around key information, and text boxes, I assume both Acrobat Standard and Pro have the same capabilities.
    Correct?
    Thanks for everyone's help.

To create PDF portfolio, you would require Acrobat X PRO, this feature is not available in Std. Version. For more details, please see Acrobat X product comparison matrix.

For your second questions, "Yes" Acrobat Std. is sufficient.
Please let me know, if you have any further questions.

I am not sure what your specific issue is but I simply wanted to say that I had no issues creating installers LV 2009 for our VLA. Have you checked that destination drive that you are putting the installer on to ensure that it does have enough space and that you do have permissions to write to it?

I have a acrobat 9 pro volume licence and there is no installer available for download on my downloads page. Where can I find an installer for acrobat 9 with a volume license?

The only other site that I know of that might be of some help is Adobe Licensing Website | Serial numbers | Orders | Accounts
Half way down it describes how to download volume software.

  • "Suite Product Activation Needed" (Acrobat Pro 9.5.0)

Like several people have on this forum, I upgraded to Lion a few weeks ago with no issues, but trying to launch Acrobat Pro today resulted in this:
I've searched the forii, tried several possible solutions, and all have met with failure so far. I'm running OS X 10.7.3, and the CS5 suite; the version of Acrobat Pro is ostensibly 9.5.0. Is there anything else I can provide that would help turn this around quickly?
    —Ken
(P.S. Excuse the screen name. It wasn't accepting my usual one, nor a formal name, and that's what I chose in exasperation—which, of course, it took and now won't let me change.)

OK, got a new solution; This problem plauged me for months and yesterday I finally stumbled on an answer, and it was NOT on Adobe's site - but what took months of Adobe chat techs keeping me busy for hours trying solutions that didn't work, this worked in seconds.
This is with CS5, Acrobat 9.3.0, which are both part of the CS5 Design Premium suite upgrade I purchased, and this is on OS X 10.8.2, Mid 2010 iMac with 3.2GHz Intel i3.
I got this solution from this website:
    http://blog.erikphansen.com/adobe-cs4-error-15030-aka-i-hate-adobe-reason-34/
I made my own list to detail what I did; your mileage may vary:
First step is to make sure all products are installed, including Acrobat Pro.
The next step is to download the license repair tool from Adobe at
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/licensing.html
Next, locate the cache.db file from the Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD/cache folder, and throw it in the trash.
Next, locate the Flex net Publisher folder in the /Library/Preferences folder and throw it in the trash.
Now, mount the dmg file downloaded from Adobe.
Go to Applications/Utilities and launch the Terminal application.
    Enter the following:
    cd /Volumes/LicenseRecovery\ 11.6.1/LicenseRecovery/
    sudo python LicenseRecover.py
    and hit Enter.
    Enter password when prompted.
(There are instructions for multiple attempts, but this only took one try for me.)
    At the ?, hit Enter.
This only took a few seconds and the process completed. Please note, the file warned of a processor error code but the file completed successfully anyway.
I then opened Acrobat Pro, and was presented with a registration dialog box to enter the serial number. I entered all information requested.
I then opened Photoshop, and was presented with the dialog box to enter the product serial number. In the course of this I also had to enter the serial from the upgraded product, which I just happened to have gotten out of storage "just in case".  I entered all information requested and Photoshop opened.
I then opened Dreamweaver, and was presented with a dialog box to enter my Adobe ID, or to create a new account. I entered my current account information and Dreamweaver opened.
I then opened all other CS5 Design Premium apps and all opened successfully. I have since then updated all apps to current updates.
I should also mention that I tried to update Acrobat over the web automatically but had a problem that required me to restart to clear the screen of the Safari plug-in dialog box. Investigating the website, it appears that each update to Acrobat Pro 9 required the previous update before it, so I went and downloaded all of them and installed them one by one. It all works now as it should.
Hope that helps somebody, this whole thing drove me crazy and had me looking for Adobe alternatives!

  • Acrobat Pro XI Lost Licensing

    Hello,
We deployed Acrobat Pro XI after customizing the deployment package to a base machine (Win 7 64-bit), created an image and deployed it to multiple computer labs machines to various campuses. These deployments occurred at the end of August. However, one campus suddenly defaulted back to trial mode 4 days ago. Re-running the installer does nothing to fix the issue. Walking through the licensing portion of the warning prompts to re-enter the license key.
Is there a way to fix this remotely, via a script? Touching each machine to re-enter a serial number is not condusive.
    Thanks!

    Hi scspitt,
Please grant offline activation exception for the license via Adobe Customization Wizard 11 in the created package and then redeploy.

  • Help Needed:  Acrobat Pro XI - Reduced Sized PDF vs. Optimized PDF

Hopefully some of you folks can help me, as I cannot get in touch with Adobe customer service.  I recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro XI.  In my old version of Acrobat Pro, I used to be able to take a PDF file of large size (let's say 10 MB) and shrink it down considerably with relative ease (down to less than 1 MB).  The file could then be easily emailed, shared, read, and most importantly wouldn't take up tons of hard drive space.  With this new version of Acrobat Pro XI, that same 10 MB file barely reduces down to 7 or 8 MB.  I have played with the various settings in both the File -> Save As Other -> Reduced Sized PDF and File -> Save As Other -> Optimized PDF.  Regardless of what I try, I cannot achieve anywhere near the same compression results as what I used to be able to achieve with my old version of Pro.  I can get the file size reduced, but the reduced file quality is trash.
Has anyone else encountered this problem as well?  Do any of you have any suggestions on what to do to fix??  I primarily scan a document as a PDF file with my HP OfficeJet Pro, and then reduce the PDF file size after the scan.  I could scan the document with lower DPI to begin with (currently scan 300 dpi typically grayscale), but then I don't have the scanned image quality that I need to reduce the file down so that it can be reprinted later at a good enough quality.

I had previously ran the audit, and 99% + of my bloat is in the image.  All of the other possibilities for bloat do not even add up to 1%.  For my purposes as a Financial Advisor, I print out blank applications & account forms, fill out the paperwork by hand, and then scan copies of the completed paperwork back into my computer for electronic filing.  Some of these completed client documents can be 50 to 75 pages long ... so the PDF scanned at 300 dpi obviously starts out as a substantially sized document that can take up 25, 35, or 45 MB per scan.  The crazy thing is that the old version of Acrobat Pro (I believe it was version 7 or 8) would take a 45 MB file and compress it down almost to 1/10th of the oiginal size.  As a result, a 45 MB file would end up as a 4.5 MB file.  This significant reduction was always accomplished using the one button selection "Reduce PDF" command ... had nothing to do with optimizing the PDF with the old version.  Once I ended up with the 4.5 MB file, I could open that file at a later date and print out a page that I needed and you couldn't hardly tell if it was the original or a scanned copy.  There was no loss of quality whatsoever!!  The Reduce PDF size in Acrobat XI just doesn't work well ... will take that 45 MB file and reduce it down to 42 MB which defeats the whole purpose of the Reduce PDF command in the first place.  If I play around with the inputs in the Optimze PDF, I can shrink the file size lower but lose way too much image quality.  The only variable that has changed from my old scanning results vs. my new scanning results is the upgrade from Acrobat Pro 7 to Acrobat Pro XI ... everything else that I'm doing is the exact same.  Same thing applies when I create a PDF portfolio from multiple PDF documents ... a 150 MB PDF Portfolio will barely reduce in file size.
