Need Adobe Software but don't know what we need.

We need to send a document the is roughly 160 Mb. Our Apple desktop using OS 10.6 software will only send 24 Mb. What Adobe software should we purchase to send files mentioned here?

There is no upgrade path available from Macromedia Contribute 3 to Adobe Contribute 6.5. However you can buy the latest version of Contribute which is 6.5 from the link mentioned below.

Check if PDF document has renderable text. Go to Tools -> Text Recognition -> In This File.
Then you should be able to copy the text from PDF.

You do realise that wiping the disk means that everything on the disk is erased. Everything. Photos, music, emails, ...
So the first piece of advice is to make sure you have a back up of everything.
You need the OS disk to reintsall the operating system. You will use that disk first to erase the drive, then to reinstall the OS.

As for MS Office, you will need the original disk that it came on to reinstall it.

HI ..
Open a Finder window.
Select your user account on the left in the Sidebar. It has a small house icon.
Now open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.systemuiserver.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.

You installed the Conduit spyware. To remove it, triple-click the following line of text to select it:
~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
Copy (command-C) the text to the Clipboard. Then select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the Finder menu bar and paste (command-V) into the box that opens. A Finder window may open with a folder named "Conduit" selected. If so, delete the selected folder.
Select Go to Folder again and enter:
/Library
From the folder that opens, delete the following items, if they exist. You may be prompted for your login password.
Application Support/Conduit
InputManagers/CTLoader
LaunchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
ScriptingAdditions/ct_scripting.osax
Close the folder. Now select Go to Folder one more time and enter:
/Applications/Toolbars

I can definitely how frustrating it must be to not be able to take pictures or even view pictures that have already been taken with your LG Dare.
Since this problem has started, have you tried to either:
a.) put that memory card in an alternate phone to see if the pictures can be viewed on there
b.) use a card reader/adapter in a computer to see if the pictures can be viewed on the computer
c.) take the memory card out of the phone and then try to take a picture?
What I am trying to determine is which of the 2 is defective (phone or memory card)
If you are able to view pictures in another phone, or on the computer , then you may have a bad card. If that is the case, you can transfer the pictures to the computer and then format the memory card by
Note: This procedure will erase all data on the memory card. It is recommended to back up the data.
From the home screen, touch the menu tab.

Touch SD card & phone storage.
Touch Unmount SD card.

I have lost Lightroom 5.6 due to a hard drive crash. The old hard drive has been replaced. How can I get LR5 back? I don't have a disc. I still have my LR4 disc and key. I have another adobe key, but don't know if it relates to LR5.

Bought the new MBP today, but don't know what to do now! Imperfect machine

Ok. I ran down to my campus computer store today and bought a base model MacBook Pro. Then, I returned home with lots of excitement. But after I opened up the laptop, all my excitement disappear shortly after I found 3 imperfections on the new MBP.
1.there is a dent on the edge of the front end (see pictures please). I'm so so disappointed and continued setting up the machine.
2.After all the noisy installation from an external hard drive. I realized that the fan is making a unpleasant noise which can only be heard in a quite environment. (I assume they have no way to hear it in store)
3.The speakers' wholes look very strange and looks like it's been used and covered with dust. -see in pictures
So I'm wondering what are my options. Is it possible to get a exchange or refund at the store or through Apple support?
Please help... I'm so screwed and don't know what to do now....

Hmmm, someone's "right" to be upset - and - the content over which they are upset, are two different things. I never questioned the Op's right to be upset - he/she can be as upset as they want to be, that is their right.
I'm just saying that my perspective of aesthetic complaints around here has shifted - and they no longer cause me to call into question Apple's quality standards. I can understand wanting something to be perfect - but implicit in the complaint was the statement that Apple committed some harsh violation, which now I think they did not.
So again, I was reading the board and getting quite upset (internally) with Apple - because I love them as a company and I want them to do well - because it's not often that you get "truly" innovative corporate entities in this world - most corporations just want to "homogenize" existence - distilling it down to a few basic variations which are easy to reproduce; all for the sake of the bottom line. The fact that Apple is forcing innovation into the market - causes a corporate strata that doesn't tolerate vanilla design ethics - and I think that is a good thing.
I don't want to live in a neighborhood where the only choices I have for food are, McDonalds, Starbucks, Olive Garden, etc. anymore than I want to use the same old square black laptop with Windows on it.
So now I see that there are imperfections in the manufacturing - but they aren't indicative of serious neglect on Apple's part, which is why said "whew..."

I need to delete things off my computer but don't know what "other" signifies. (As seen on the Storage section in "About this Mac".

I'm nearly out of storage and want to clean up my computer. I don't understand what "other" means. The bulk of my storage is taken up in that category. I want to be able to use an external drive back up but want to delete old and useless stuff first. Can you please explain what "Other" may mean? I've already purchased all the extra storage that this 2007 iMac can hold.

One of the biggest is trash make sure it is emptied, also iPhoto trash must be sent to the regular trash, in iPhoto open the trash click command a to select everything in there, press shift command delete to send it to the trash.
Then from finder shift command delete to dump the regular trash.
If you have alot it may take a while.

Hi, I would like to reinstall my OSX but I do not know what essential files I must back up before I do anything.

If you using itunes and icloud for music,movies etc then back up the audiobooks.
Also look for the photos you want keep and the movies.
Documents can be upload to icloud so then is like they backed up.
Things that are in icloud are safe but if you have some things that may you want keep then back up then.
Think that after a clean install all the media is gone so think what you will miss and what you use everyday and isn't in icloud.
Also if you want exactly the crap you want get ride off then just delete it and then don't need to reinstall.
I really don't mind much because everyrhing is in icloud and can be access anytime but some people have madia that no in icloud and then if delete it may can't access it.
Hope you finding a way,also as someone already say if you back up the crap and then restore t is like no clean at all so may look for what really you want keep outside icloud.

Cannot open PDF files online with Firefox 4, help suggests foxit but don't know what that is?

Earlier versions of Firefox allowed me to open PDF files online, without downloading. Firefox 4 does not allow me to open and read PDF files online, but requires downloading to computer.
Help suggest altering settings in FOXIT READER, manually, but I don't know how to access Foxit reader, if I have it.
Can I alter settings in Firefox 4, or do I have to go back to earlier version.

I was under the impression Foxit was a pdf viewer rather than an addon for Firefox, but maybe there is more than one application with a similar name.
I did not notice mention of foxit in the help, but add-ons are not always mentioned.
