Need advice to back up an old iPhone 3G
I need some help, and I am hoping for some advice! I want to backup my iPhone 3G, but it's too old to talk with my iTunes anymore. Back in the day, I used to update my phone regularly, until the software became advanced enough that I heard it had started being incompatible with the 3G phones, so at this point it hasn't been updated in a long while and has an old iOS. (I'm not sure exactly which one.) I have, however, regularly updated my iTunes. Now, though, it no longer can access my iPhone, since the phone software is too old. I assume that if I temporarily went back to an older version of iTunes, I could once again connect to my iPhone and perform a backup.
Is this true? And if so, what version of iTunes would be old enough to access a 3G for a backup that I could later move to a newer phone (not sure what yet, as I haven't bought one yet). Alternatively, is there another good way to do this?

Not so. This does not happen. You can still sync an original iphone to itunes.
Please explain.

Every time I started to at least restore the little data left on the very last update I made in the old phone at Itune It continualy kept trying to restore and at the end a message will appear saying that an error had occurred and restore was unable to complete. Hi, I got a new iPhone that I havent uploaded to my iTunes yet I had pictures and contacts. I accidentally said to restore it as my old iTouch. Is there a way I can change it back to my old iPhone and get my pictures and contacts back?
You would need to check if you made a back up of the iPhone on iTunes/iCloud before you restored from the ipod touch back up. If there isnt then im sorry that data is gone.

Does your iPhone 5 IOS is later than iPhone 6 IOS?
If true, you need to update your iPhone 6 before you can restore from your backup.

You need to call your service provider, and ask them if your SIM card is activated.

I have a honda civic with USB port which allows play back of my old iPhone 4 and 4s. With the new iPhone 5 the radio shows the phone is conected but does not show any music content. Any Suggestions?
You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

I just purchased the new iPhone4 but when I went to plug it into Itunes for the first time I found that I had lost al of my photos, videos and music. I thought I had backed up my old Iphone by plugging it into Itunes before turning it in. Is there anyway to recover my photos and such?

Just back it up to your computer using iTunes By connecting it to your compute, launching iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Back Up (transfer purchases of prompted). Then restore the iTunes backup to your new phone.

The ONLY thing you can do to turn off Find My iPhone is to have the correct password. There is no way around it. You can get help with the password: If you forgot your Apple ID password
