IDM driver security equivalence has nothing to do with passwords, or even
the ability to login (intruder stuff would not impact it) so unless a
driver config (userapp driver perhaps, or something using ECMAscript to do
LDAP things against the directory) is configured to login as the admin
user, IDM should be fine. As mentioned, though, it is a best/proven
practice to create a different object with appropriate rights for each
driver config, or each service that needs to connect back in, to avoid
other bad things (like this thread's topic, or much worse) from happening
sometime in the future.

LUM: Yes, that's probably the biggest one. If using a common proxy user
for things, then you should be fine for anything using non-admin users.
Good luck.

  • Need To Recover Admin Password For UC320

    Hello,
We need asistance with with recovering the admin password for a UC320W system that we have in production at a client.
Unfortunately, there are no backups being done on the system.
Is there anyway that Cisco can help in recovering this password?
    Thanks.

Please open a case with the SBSC for assistance with password recovery.  Please have the WAN MAC address handy (found on the label on the bottom of the unit) when you open the case as we will need that.  We will then need to have LAN side access to the UC320.
    Thanks,
    Florence.

  • Hi, is there anyway I can download apps without needing the admins password

Hi, is there anyway I can download apps from the app store without needing the admins password.

To download applications from the App Store, you need your Apple ID password, not your administrator account. The password will be saved for some minutes after inserting it once, so you will be able to install as many apps as you want without inserting the Apple ID password

If you are referring the Master Password that can be set in System Preferences>Security>FileVault, then see this thread:
How to reset FileVault master password
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5822772
As explained there, and for obvious security reasons, a new master password created in this fashion way will not unlock any pre-existing FileVault accounts. Resetting the master password is therefore only useful after you turn off FileVault in all existing accounts. You can then turn FileVault back on after the new master password is in place.

  • NEED BIOS BACKDOOR PASSWORD FOR HP PROBOOK 6540b. Have tried all types of bios resets, no luck.

NEED BIOS BACKDOOR PASSWORD FOR HP LAPTOP PROBOOK 6540b. Have tried all types of bios resets, doesn't work.
The password stay's no error code for entering wrong ones.

    Hi,
I too have been pulling my hair out with this problem on the 6540B. However after  2 days of various driver combinations I've finally found a working fix. I don't have the luxury of reinstalling Windows XP as the machine is custom configured with apps which will take over a week to configure again.
If you've got no audio it's probably because you've installed the IDT High Def Audio Driver. You may have tried a whole bunch of other options also to try and rectify the problem as I did.
    The solution is fairly simple:
Goto to add/remove programs and remove "SoundMax".
    Reboot
The audio driver may try to reinstall on boot up... allow it to install. It will still not work and will still show exclamation mark against IDT driver in Device Manager.
Goto run... then type regedit and hit enter. Windows registry opens.
    Goto My Computer>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Services>
Delete the WHOLE KEY for AEAudio and then exit regedit
Go to device manager and uninstall the IDT High Def Audio device from Device Manager
Then using the original HP Application and Driver Recovery DVD supplied with the notebook, run the autoplay, choose Hardware Enabling Drivers, tick only the IDT High Def Audio driver and follow the installation instruction on screen. You will be prompted to reboot after which Windows will find new hardware. The IDT will install itself and you will find that the sound works!
    Good Luck!
For those that cannot find their original disk, the IDT Audio Driver from the original disk is available at http://tinyurl.com/IDTAudio6540b or http://www.4shared.com/file/RxXn5afj/IDTAUDIO.html

  • PLEASE HELP  Forgot my admin password for os x Yosemite

hello every one i really need  help. i forgot my admin password and i really need the stuff which is inside can anyone please help??? i already checked online  but i did not get what  i need cuz  of this photo i did cheek the box of resting my password with an apple id.

Boot from the Recovery Partition and reset your password from there.
    Here’s how:
1/ Make sure your computer is completely shut down.
2/ You’ll have to be quick next: Press the Mac’s power button. As soon as you either hear the loud chime, or see the display light up - usually after a second or 2 - on your keyboard press [cmd] + [r] Keep these keys on your keyboard pressed until you either see an Apple Logo with a loading bar or a spinning gear.
After a few minutes, you’ll be presented with a Utilities screen. This is the Recovery partition. If this step is already giving you problems, try using a USB-keyboard. It doesn’t have to be an Apple-keyboard. If you have a Windows-tailored keyboard laying around, use the “Windows-flag” key in stead of the [cmd]-key and it should also work.
3/ Find the menu called “utilities” in the top left corner of your computer’s display. It’s in between the menus “edit” and “window” Don’t be confused with the menu called “os x utilities”
Choose Terminal. A somewhat old-fashioned looking window will pop up, waiting for a text command from you. This is the Terminal.
After the # type: resetpassword and press return. Note that there is no space between ‘reset’ and ‘password’
What you’ll see next is an rectangular window that gives you the option to reset passwords. Set a new password for all the users that you need.
We’re ready to reboot your Mac now. Click on the Apple Menu and choose “startup disk” Choose to boot from “Macintosh HD” Please let us know if this solved your issue, or if the steps above did not work, or could not be performed for some reason.

  • How to recover admin password for macbook pro

I'm assuming my apple id/password are the same for both the apple store & admin... I'm finding they are not. I'm sure it was bad note taking on my part. However, I need help! I am in the "downloading" stages of OS X Yosemite. I'm being asked for my password and what I thought is the correct one, is not. HELP! Thank you!

It's the password you use to open a keychain. Normally, your system keychain uses the same password as your admin account. When you login to your account your keychain is opened automatically. If you have changed your admin password and get a request for the keychain password then look at this for the solution:
OS X Yosemite- About your keychain password
OS X Mavericks v10.9.1- Repeated prompts to unlock "Local Items" keychain
    Tutorial: Resolving Keychain Issues
If you can't access your keychain, or forget your password If you can't get into your keychain file because you've forgotten your password or the keychain file appears to be corrupt, there are a couple of options.
First, if you've forgotten your password, you can use the "Keychain First Aid" utility to make the keychain password the same as the login password. This can be accomplished via the following process:
      1. Open Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
      2. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Preferences"
      3. Click the "First Aid" tab
      4. Make sure the "Synchronize login keychain password" box is checked
      5. Close the Preferences window
      6. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Keychain First Aid"
      7. Enter your username and password
      8. Click the "Repair" button
The second option is to completely delete your keychain then recreate it. This routine is useful if your keychain appears to be corrupt or otherwise inaccessible. This can be accomplished as follows:
      1. Launch Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
      2. Click "Show Keychains" in the lower-left corner of the window.
      3. Select the problematic keychain from the left-hand pane.
      4. Navigate to the "File" menu and select "Delete Keychain '(name of keychain)'"
      5. Check all options for deletion and press "OK"
      6. Create a new keychain by going to the "File" menu, then "New" and selecting
          "New Keychain"
      7. You can now make this keychain your default if you desire by selecting it, then
going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make '(name of keychain)' Default"
Login as root and perform repair In some cases, problems with keychains can only be resolved when logged in as the root user.
First, you want to enable the root user:
      1. OS X Mountain Lion: Enable and disable the root user
      2. OS X Lion: Enable and disable the root user
      3. Mac OS X 10.6: Enabling the root user
      4. Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X
After enabling the root user, and logging in under this account, again open Keychain Access. First attempt repairs using Keychain First Aid, and failing that, delete then recreate the keychain as described above while logged in as root.
Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user's home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, the Keychain may be to blame.
The above comes from an article published on MacFixit.com.

  • How to configure admin password for app server 9

    hi all,
i'm new to java EE and i'm having trouble configuring the admin password. i need the password when i'm running "ant create-tables".
i've gone to '<install>\javaeetutorial5\examples\bp-project\build-properties' and changed a few properties, eg
    javaee.server.username=admin
    AS_ADMIN_PASSWORD=charlesdds
and i've edited the following file and set the password to 'charlesdds' -
    "javaee.server.passwordfile=${javaee.tutorial.home}/examples/common/admin-password.txt"
when i run "ant create-tables", it says i need to specify the password in the "bp-project\build-properties" file..... which i thought i've just done.
    can anyone help
    thanks in advance
    mat

Make sure that the file ${javaee.tutorial.home}/examples/common/admin-password.txt includes/contains the following line
    AS_ADMIN_PASSWORD=charlesdds.
Also make sure if you have build.properties under user directory with a different value for AS_ADMIN_PASSWORD.

  • Resetting ADMIN password for Iomega storcenter PRO 250D

I have a 250D PRO Iomega storcenter which I have forgotten the admin password. I still have user id's and pass but that will not let me trouble shoot etc. my unit. I have held the front button for 12 seconds etc., which I thought was the method but it does not seem to be working or else i forgot the default admin credentials. I believe they are ADMINISTRATOR/ADMIN!! Please anyone feel free to correct and direct me. Thanks in advance for the help. Also if anyone knows what the latest although not recent firmware version  etc. is and how to check, I would appreciate it!! Thanks a million in advance!!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Hi and thx 4 the response. Are we saying that pressing the front button for 12 seconds etc. IS the method to reset the server's administrator's password? It is working just fine, I can reboot it and when I press the button and hold it it shuts off, but will reboot if I press it again!! I just need to reset the administrators password. I have all the restoration disks , so I could go that route after backing up all data but want to exhaust all non destructive methods first!!
