Need Album Artwork Help? READ HERE!

Hey guys, i found a recent issue with my new ipod nano, i added album artwork on every single song on my ipod nano, though it wont show! to fix this issue (= to be able to see all added album artwork) follow these steps:
1) Make sure you add the album artwork to the songs in the library (not into playlists or an ipod)
2) Clear all the songs from your ipod.
3) Add all the songs again.
4) Voila! you have all the album artwork showing on your ipod!
Fore more help, email me at [email protected]
or to google talk: [email protected]

I'm glad you brought this up. I noticed some of my artwork missing and from reading your post maybe I input the artwork while working in a playlist.
But here's a question: If I add the artwork while I'm working in the library why do I need to clear the song and then add it again?
Just curious....

  • ITunes Album Artwork Help?

Hello fellow Mac users I have a question for you. But first let me tell you my story of why I am asking this question. I have a Black MacBook Upgraded to fastest RAM for the Best Memory, and of course I use iTunes, So I have purchased a few albums off of iTunes and I have uploaded a few also. So the albums I got from iTunes I have the artwork. But on the Albums that I purchased the CD I do not have the artwork except for one that is Aerosmith's Devils Got A New Disguise. But I have no idea why I have that Albums artwork? I did not buy it on iTunes? So the Albums that I do not have the artwork for are Thin Lizzy and Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus 2 Album, I have tried clicking "Get Album Artwork" but I just get a message saying that Artwork was unfindable. So can any Mac "Pros" help me?
I was wondering if there is a way that I could find I picture of the Album covers an just Drag and Drop them where they need to go?

Never mind you can drag and drop. Sorry everyone

  • Get album artwork help

I want to get album artwork for my songs, but it wont let me without a iTunes store account, and I don't have a credit card to make one, any ideas.

Go to walmart or target or whereever and buy a visa gift card. 9 times out of 10 they will except them as a credit card online. (I had one on my paypal account with a 2 cent balance remaining until the gift card expired.) Worth a try. Plus then you can spend the remaining anywhere visa is excepted.

  • Lost all album artwork, help please...

I own an older 5th Gen. 60GB Ipod Video player and recently updated to the newest software version (1.2) and newest version of iTunes (version 7.00.70). For the last couple of CD's that I ripped onto my Ipod the album art wasn't showing up on my Ipod screen but would display on iTunes. So I searched the forums and found a solution to go to the music tab on iTunes (located under devices- click on your Ipod name and then select the "music" tab) and uncheck the last checkbox to "display album artwork on your iPod" and then click the "Apply" button and wait for iTunes to finish updating your iPod. Repeat this procedure by now checking the "display album artwork on your iPod" and then clicking the "Apply" button and again waiting for iTunes to update your iPod.
Well, that solution failed miserably for me because it apparently erased or removed all of the album artwork that I had searched for and added manually to my iPod (without software). Now it is only displaying the text for each CD that I have for all 5,000+ songs. The strange thing is that when I click on a song that is on my Ipod (in iTunes when my Ipod is connected to my computer) the album art displays in iTunes just fine.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

  • Artwork help please Urgent

A friend of mine has downloaded 20 tracks from ITunes for me with all the Art work.
The problem I have is that I have imported the 20 Tracks to iTunes, and there is no Art work for the tracks. Even Tho they Show in the folder on my desktop
Is there any reason to why the Art work isn’t showing? I have done this before and the art Dose shows?
    Please help ?
    Thank You

Have you tried right-clicking on all the tracks, and using *Get Album Artwork* ?

  • Download and connect Album Artwork

I am a very new user for the iPod Classic. I have uploaded several CD's to my iPod through iTunes. Now of my imported CD's shows the album artwork, so< I've downloaded the artwork from iTunes. I still can't figure out how to connect the artwork with the appropriate album. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you go to preferences/general in iTunes and check the box marked "automatically download missing album artwork", it will automatically add the artwork when you import a CD into iTunes.
You must have the album or song tagged in your iTunes library correctly or it may not be found. For instance, even a missing "The" before the artists name can throw up anomalies. iTunes will check each song in your iTunes library and attempt to match it up with a song in the iTunes Store. If the data matches, iTunes will download the album artwork from the iTunes Store and add it to the song in your iTunes library.
Highlight a song or all the songs in an album in iTunes, then right click on it and select the "get album artwork" option.

  • Album artwork lost on iTunes 11.1.3

I have noticed recently that since installing the latest version of iTunes that some album artwork has disappeared on my Macbook Pro but is still visible on other devices.
I am currently running OS X Mavericks.
    Any ideas?

Have you tried the ctrl click (right click) and then 'Get Album Artwork'?

  • Album Artwork(NEED HELP!!!)

The album artwork is not matching with the artist. Like lets say i wanna listen to Blink 182 but the album cover is 50 cent. It really bothers me any body knows how to fix it?
And some of the artwork is just black. There's no album cover at all just a black square...
    need help!!!

For whatever reason, the iTS store database has it listed differently than your tags.
Sometimes just adding a blank space after the Album Name or Artist will make iTunes fetch the artwork.
When Led Zeppelin's Mothership was first released, Apple had it filed under Artist = Lead Zeppelin. It's fixed now, but folks couldn't get the artwork until it was, unless they misspelled their own tags.

  • Need help about album artwork/liner!

I just purchased an album off of Itunes that is sort of random but I needed it for a class. Basically I'm just trying to figure out how to see the inside of the CD, aka the album liner. I tried "Get Album Artwork" and nothing happens. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I need proof that I bought the cd and can't get anything except the cover! If anyone has any suggestions that would be awesome. Thank you in advance!

I need proof that I bought the cd
(its an album, not a CD)
Print the iTunes receipt or go to your -> Purchase history and take a screen shot.
Does anyone know how to tell if the album you're purchasing comes with a digital booklet?
It shows up as one of the tracks when viewing the album in the iTunes store.

  • I NEED HELP! IPOD AND ALBUM ARTWORK ISSUES

I can use the music store and surf the internet fine. BUT, I try to use the ministore and with the new itunes, update mmy ipod and download album artowrk, it says itunes cannot connect, please make sure my connection is active. I tried the network diagnostics and it said network failed, but in the report, it says it connected to the music store. I dont understand, this shouldnt be because I can use the music store no problem. What is odd is on my other accounts on the computer, this issue doesnt exist. I dont recall changing any settings. Can someone help please?

You can get album artwork from various other sources as well as Amazon. You can even locate artwork using Google image search by using the artist or album name. I find this site is a good source of artwork: CD/Album Cover Art Search from SlothRadio.
Locate the album from any of those sources, right click on the image and save it to the desktop, once it's there drag it to the iTunes artwork pane. Once you've added the artwork you can either delete the original file or keep it in a folder somewhere in case you need to use it again. Alternatively there are programs like these that help locate artwork: iTunes Art Importer or MP3 Tag

  • Cant get album artwork! Need help!

So I just bought Senses Fail's new album Life Is Not a Waiting Room and I tried to get the album artwork and it says it could not be found and it's spelt the exact same way as it is on iTunes... Also I just downloaded the new iTunes and I did not have any troubles with any other artwork until I uploaded this cd... So please help me!

  • Help needed adding album artwork using Windows Vista

My computer is a PC running Windows Vista. I am missing some album artwork - some artwork from CDs I ripped to Windows Media Player and subsequently transferred to ITunes and my IPod Classic (120GB), and some artwork that is either missing from ITunes or incorrect album artwork. When I drag an album image from ITunes to my album artwork window, it won't copy, nor can I do it from Windows Media Player. Yes, I have enabled automatic download of artwork in ITunes, and yes, I have already read the basic adding album artwork article, and I am not able AT ALL to do any kind of drag and drop.
I also noticed that my ITunes songs is missing album artwork that ITunes has a partial album for, but I have the FULL album (which I transferred from WMP)
    Any suggestions?

You can't copy the artwork from the iTunes Store...
You also won't have any joy if you're trying to add artwork to wav files as they don't support tags.
Use Google, Amazon, Discogs etc. to locate relevant images. Ideally these should be square, 320x320 pixels or above and borderless to give the best results in the various menus. Copy the image from the source, then select all the tracks of the album, use CTRL-I to *Get Info* and paste the image into the artwork box.

  • Please HELP join these 2 iTunes folders in Windows 7 preserving album artwork & tags (discussion reply requested)

(Discussion Reply Requested ) Please HELP join these 2 iTunes folders in
Windows 7 preserving album artwork & "tags"
I have searched and not found an up to date understandable answer as how
to join 2 working portable same (apple ID) user iTunes folders into one itunes folder
while above all else preserving hand edited Abum Artwork and hand edited tags.
( It was many hours of hand edited added Album Artwork and editing of tags )
    Situation is Windows 7 ( 64 bit ) with current iTunes installed ( 2014-03-17 )
The hard drive crashed and the old \iTunes folder and all old contents have been copied and backed up.
The windows 7 64 bit and latest iTunes 64 bit has been re-installed cleanly ( no old music added )
Music from the iTunes cloud was then added/downloaded into iTunes
Now \itunes has 40 gig of music available to play.
Now I want to join the currently installed working \itunes folder ( 40 gig of music )
with  the old saved \itunes folder  ( 100 gig of music ) into just one \iTunes folder
with preserving the current Album Artwork and editing of "tags" of both folders.
I have seen previous answers that use words like " consolidate " , " export / import ",
    " merge " , " apple home sharing " , " use explorer to copy  ..." , ect
none of which mentioned if the current Album Artwork
or tags survive unchanged from their current "specially edited" status.
I know their may be the ineviatable "duplicates", but there seems
to be several ways to handle them.  ( If you know the best way to
prevent or remove duplicates in this situation with joining two
iTunes folders in Windows please include that information also ).
Please provide an explanation of how to join these 2 iTunes folders
in Windows 7 into one \iTunes folder while preserving Album Artwork and tags.

Mike, thanks for the response. I will try this. I'll have to dig around here too, bc I want to know more about how I can import a windows xml file (while replacing the drive paths) and it creating a seperate itunes library with the pointers on the mac. Essentially, I have 2 libraries and there may not be a way around this with a windows machine and a mac - ive read plenty on Choose library on open, and mac to mac, windows to windows.
I also need to know more about what is getting stored in the album art folders. I believe it seems that when you select all, and copy the image in the artwork get info page its actually embedding these images in the files themselves, but if you paste into the left bottom artwork display pane its just adding where?? If I deleted the contents of this folder what would happen, should I not be copying this content?
If I update the images on the mac and swap out the drive paths and move the external drive back to the windows box, will i lose any updates I did while on the mac?
Good suggestion though, I'll try this out.

  • ALBUM ARTWORK SOLUTIONS HERE!!!!!

After tons of browsing these forums and roughly a week of trying to create an Apple ID (not sure why but the site might have been down or something), I have the soultion to adding/manipulating album artwork. And it is not as easy as it would seem if you can't get it to work at first. Its pretty much a pain in the behind, and with no more pre-ambling, here we go:
I have a 2G nano and probably 6 or 7 G's of music. Because of this, I had the foresight to set my iTunes to not auto-update my nano when I went to iTunes.(I'm sorry but I'm not even really sure if this impacts the whole Artwork issue, but I'm just tossing in every detail that could be relavent to anyone who needs help.)
Since then, I've purchased some songs off the iTunes music store which corresponded with music I already had. To give an example, I had 3 songs off of the "Porcelain" album by Sparta, and had to purchase the other 11. Now maybe it's just how I am, but I realized that those 3 songs look plain and lame without the artwork next to it, so I tried to add artwork offline various times. I tried initially downloading the cover art's picture off of the internet then right clicking (Windows XP) and adding the artwork to each track that wasn't purchased. That's the exact directions I got from various sources. Then I thought I misread it, so I went back and discovered that I simply omitted reading a bit of it...you are supposed to DRAG the artwork off the internet instead of downloading and inserting. Maybe this was thought to be more convenient or something, however it really isn't...
-In order to view the artwork, you need to make sure you have dragged the appropriate art to each file in your iTunes library. You do this by clicking and holding the cursor on a picture off the internet (for example, I used Google Image search) then (while still holding the button down) drag it to the iTunes Window on the taskbar. This will open the iTunes window so then (just keep holding that mouse button down...) bring that cursor to the bottom left area of the screen and release the mouse button over the "Drag Album Artwork Here" box.
-Now, you need to get rid of the "old" (and I use this term because I think they are technically outdated because they don't have the most information possible) music files that you edited in your library. To make this clearer, say you have an entire album you just added artwork to in your Library, but you want it to show up on your iPod nano. Then you need to go to your iPod (whatever you named it) and delete those files. This is temporary, so no worries. Then, just drag the files from your Library to the iPod to restore them, new and fresh! Next time you turn on the iPod, the songs will be all prettyful and matching!!
Pardon the rediculous preambling and I hope this helped those with the album art blues.
    -   Windows XP
    -   Windows XP

I have never had a problem with artwork on my 3GS until I updated iTunes to 9.1.
Now several or more albums by different artists will have the same 'wrong' artwork, several have none at all etc etc. But in itunes itself my artwork and mp3 tags are meticulous and perfect. i'm anal about it haha!
This is really annoying me as when I turn the phone horizontal to access the cover flow all of the artwork is mixed up and random.
Thanks apple, u wa**ers, one of the main selling points of this device has been wrecked.
Stable OS? Firmware that works? Not on this evidence.
Please do not go any further down the route of windows and the way they release all kinds of crap onto the market without testing properly. This 9.1 release has the whiff of a botched job to accommodate iPad.
