Need app. for recovering photos from a reformatted CF card.

Are there any other apps. for recovering photos from a reformatted CF card besides Lexars Image Rescue?

Don:
I've used MediaRECOVER with great success.
Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How to recover photos from a reformatted CF card.

I accidentally reformatted my 1gb Lexar CF card while still in my camera with some photos I want to recover. I used Lexars Image Rescue program. It said it recovered 200 photos but I can't locate them. The image folder that it says they're in, is empty. I used both a high level search and then a low level search.
I created a smart folder and selected >computer >kind>image>created>within the last week. It found the photos form my iPhoto Library that I expected, but none of the 200 "recovered" photos. Any advice?

4th times the charm. I choose a new destination folder and this time they're showing up.

  • HELP - Need help with recovering photos from iCloud

This may be a simple question, but I've never had to do it before, so I am asking.
I have an iPhone 4S.  It was backed up to iCloud yesterday before I had to swap my cracked screen phone for a new phone.  How do I recover photos that were backed up yesterday?  I am sure it is a couple easy steps, but can someone let me know what those might be to restore my phone from iCloud's backup yesterday?

Photos and videos from your camera roll are backed up to iCloud when you do an iCloud backup.

  • How can I recover photos from old iphone icloud backup to new one?

Hello, I had an iPhone 4 which I lost and inside there were some great photos that I want now to recover. In the meanwhile I bought an iPhone5S and I just realized that inside the iCloud backup menu is saying that there is a backup of 3GB of my old iPhone. How can I see if in that backup the photos are there? I have connected my iPhoto App to iCloud but it only finds photos from my new iPhone and not the old one...
    Thanks for your time.

Hi, Tiago, maybe you can get help from data recovery software. Now things get easy now.
As far as I know, there are three ways to recover deleted contacts and photos from iPhone 5 with iPhone Data Recovery.
Way 1: Recover deleted photos from iPhone directly
Way 2: Using iTunes Backup to recover deleted photos
Way 3: Using iCloud Backup to recover deleted photos
You can refer the way 3 of how to recover deleted photos from iPhone to recover photos from  old iPhone iCloud backup.
    Good luck to you.

  • Can I recover data from a reformatted hard drive?  I did not do a back up prior to talking to Apple Support and the guy having me delete the hard drive and start anew.  My bad but is all lost??

Can I recover data from a reformatted hard drive?  I did not complete a back up prior to talking to Apple Support and the guy having me delete the hard drive (10.5.8) and start anew (10.6.3).  My bad but is all lost?? Years of very important information....

You will need to purchase reovery sofware such as such as FileSalvage
    http://subrosasoft.com/software/filesalvage
You can download a demo copy that will tell you what it can recover
If you want to recover that you must pay for the software then
When you do the recovery, you will need another disk drive to receive the recovered files
Having install a new operating system on the disk after the retformat is going to gradually reduce the amount of data that this software will be able to recover for you

how do I recover photos from my AppleTV photo stream? when I reset my iPhone, I did not get all of my photos back. How do I get these photos off of my Apple TV?

    Hi MrRhea,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you have photos in your Photo Stream that you would like to download. The photos are not actually stored on your Apple TV, it sounds like they are being displayed from your Photo Stream. Please read over the attached article for information on your Photo Stream and how to download these photos.
My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support
Because your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, you can choose to download all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically.
In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will import into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture.
On your PC with My Photo Stream on in the Control Panel, all of your photos will import intoC:\\Users\<user name>\Pictures\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream
    Best regards,
    Joe

  • Ok I can't seem to get my apps, music, or photos from my iCloud from when I first setup iCloud on a iPhone 4. How do I get my things back from the iCloud and get them to my new device?

Ok I can't seem to get my apps, music, or photos from my iCloud from when I first setup iCloud on a iPhone 4. How do I get my things back from the iCloud and get them to my new device?

If you no longer have the phone or have any Backup of it at all, you can re-download your apps and your content from the iTunes Store by logging into your Apple ID at settings> iTunes & App Store. Unfortunately you can no longer recover the data that was associated with those apps.
So far as your photos go, you can recover any photos that were in photo stream and taken less than 30 days ago by logging in with your Apple ID to settings> iCloud> photos. Unfortunately you will be unable to recover any photos from your camera roll.

how to recover photos from a usb key to put on ipad

What do you mean 'how to recover' ? If you want to copy the photos from the USB drive to your iPad then you can try using the camera connection kit, but a lot of USB drives require more power than is supplied to the kit and the photos need to be in a particular format : you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the drive with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them

  • Recovering photos from iOS back to Mac or windows

hi, my wife and I were recently burglarized and the robbers got both our macbook pros, which were not backed up
they they did not get our iPads or iPhones, however. i sync all my photos on my computer to both my iPad and iphone, is there a way I can get the photos off my iPad and back to a computer without having to select each one and email it or something tedious like that?

Be careful and do not sync the iPhone and iPad with iTunes, until you have downloaded the synced photos. Syncing again with a different computer will erase the photos. Also, do not enable iCloud Photo Library (Beta), if your devices have been upgraded to iOS 8, because enabling the  iCloud Photo Library (Beta) will immediately delete the synced photos.
is there a way I can get the photos off my iPad and back to a computer without having to select each one and email it or something tedious like that?
Apple recommends only the "Something tedious" (iTunes: Syncing photos - Apple Support) , so try the third party apps.
You can't reimport pictures synced from your computer to your device back to your computer. You can only import pictures in the Camera Roll or Saved Photos from your device to your computer. If you need to retrieve synced photos from your device:
Email them from the device to yourself.
Copy them from the emails to your computer.
On iPhone and iPod touch using iOS 5 and iOS 6, all synced photos will appear in a unified category called photo library.
You could also try to share the photos to a shared photo stream, if your iPhone and iPad support that.

  • Recovering photos from my Time Machine

I am attempting to recover photos from my iPhoto app via the Time Machine.
When I enter Time Machine, my Desktop folder opens.   I go back to the September 12, 2013 and to the iPhoto application.
However, the iPhoto icon has a white “Do Not” symbol (circle with a diagonal line) on it.  When I attempt to open it I get a pop-up box similar to what I get with the dropdown “About iPhoto” information from iPhoto in the Toolbar and the iPhoto icon again the circle with a diagonal line.

Try going to the pictures folder and restoring the iPhoto Library file in Time Machine.
    I hope I helped.

I've been using iMovie for a while now to make movies out of mostly travel photos and video clips.  I try to vary the time for the photos from 1-4 sec., although most of them are 1-2 seconds so as to keep it short.  A friend of mine who saw my most recent product said that this is too short.  Any ideas out there?

I apologize for my confusion on your question.  I find that depending on the principal of each photo and my target audience to determine the time frame for each photo.  It seems most people get impatient with viewing one photo for more than 1-2 seconds if the photo is not complex.
If there are several things that interests the viewers in any one image, they want to look at it a second or two longer.  If the movie of images is a training aid, the images may need to be more than 3 seconds.  For intro's, or a trailer for a training movie, no longer than 1-2 seconds.
That was a long answer to say, generally speaking, I find 3 seconds to be an average time length.
