I just upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 8.1 Pro. Reinstalled my PhotoShop CS program. It will not activate over the Internet or by phone. It is asking for an authorization code. How do I get one?

If you did not deactivate PS you may have exceeded you quota of 2 activated copies. Deactivate one copy. If this is not possible then you will have to call customer service.

The current version of Acrobat Pro (XI) does support the embedding of 3D models provided they are in U3D or PRC format, and Adobe Reader will display them as it always has done - but only on desktop operating systems. Adobe has never supported 3D on mobile.

If I do a clean install on my MacBook Pro will I be able to re-install apps (FCP, Aperture, MS Office etc.) from a Time Machine backup, or will I need the original install DVDs with authorization codes?

The Apple Genius' were stumped by my laptop issues and said they'd never seen anything like it before and recommended I did a clean install. Below you can see my trash bin, and if you look at the "Empty" button it reads "N201" and then there's the "N39" to the left of it. You can also see these numbers over by the folder area--"SD5, SD6, SD7." But that's not all...
When I right click on items I see the numbers again. Instead of "Open with" I get "N152" and there's an "N35" and "LB1" towards the bottom.
I have no idea what's going on so I'm just going to do a clean install on my machine but I don't want to lose my apps. I don't have the original install DVDs for them anymore. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

You don't lose them. You can always redownload them from the app store after you log back in with your Apple ID.

Authorization Code for Adobe Acrobat 8

I am trying to gtet my Adobe Acrobat 8 activated. Due to a system crash I was unable to deactivate my software. The activation process within the software failed. When I called the automated system would not give me an authorization code, and when I hit the option to speak with an agent the message stating that phone activations are no longer accessible. The website adobe.com/go/activatge is not available either. I know this is an old product, but how can I get an authorization code to allow me use of the software?

Gaining authorization code for Adobe Pro 8

Does anyone know what i can do please?
I am trying to install this software on my new machine as the old machine it was installed on died. I entered the serial number and activation code on the automated phone and got told that the producing of an authorization code had been unsuccessful. I then visited the website it referred me too and after 20 minutes of 'live chat' and waiting for the representative to type each message, they then told me that they couldnt help me as the software is old and they dont support it?! Thanks a bunch.
Obviously dont want to buy new software as the one i have does what i want.
I need an authorization code though.
Any suggestions please?

Client wants to know how to by pass a authorization code.

You won't find an option to open an application in Rosetta unless it is Universal Binary. Since the app in question is not UB, the check box will not appear.
If I am not mistaken, the Myst games use Quicktime. Since the game, itself, is running in Rosetta, it will probably need to run Quicktime in Rosetta. Try setting Quicktime to open in Rosetta. Let us know if it makes a difference.

RightFAX 9.4.0.239 - FAC authorization codes problem

I'm running a cisco RightFAX server and I would like to use the FAC (authorization codes) for my outgoing faxes.
I can successfully send a fax to an external extention 9123456789 for instance.
But If I try to add a FAC after my extention, it doesn't works.
Ex :
Route pattern for FAC = 9
Dialed number = 123456789
FAC code = 12345
9123456789#12345#
My issue concern (I think) the pause after the first '#'. My faxserver is configure with a H323 link to the CUCM8.
I already tried to add a 1 second pause with the character ",". But without success.
I also tried with 2 ,3, 4 seconds.
Does anyone has already successfully archieved an outgoing fax with FAC ?
Could we configure digit overlap in order to send the digits one by one ?
With my ipphone 7942 I have the same issue.
If I Pre-dial 9123456789#12345# and then press the speaker/line button. The call fails.
If I first press the speaker/line button and then dial the extention, it works fine.
Help would be really appreciated.

I'm not aware if rightfax supports sending DTMF tones after the call is in a proceeding/connected state. In most instances, the FAC digits need to be sent after the call is established. If the digits are sent with the called party number then CUCM/IOS will treat them as part of the called number.
This questions is best if redirected to Rightfax support to have them explain if DTMF can be sent after the call is connected/established.

Well, I fail to understand why you want to complicate easy things, but anyway you can do that by using TEXT_IO within Forms to create text file (see Forms builder help), and UTL_FILE package to read it within Pl/Sql : you could create a stored procedure, and call it from Forms passing the file name as parameter. See UTL_FILE documentation
