I am desktop support and am supposted to learn the basics of SCCM. I know some functions like finding the collection and adding a computer, and how to check the status of a collection, etc. Im looking for something like a quick reference site.

Need a Blues music site for songs and burn to cds

Need a Blues music site for downloading songs and then burning to a CD-R. Can't use iTunes or Windows media Player. As mot of my songs are from inexpensive sites iTunes won't allow them to be burned even though they show in playlists. Windows Media Player just refuses to download on my computer with Windows XP and Mozilla Firefox. Have downloaded and burned CDs in the past but iTunes has cracked down on these songs that are not downloaded from their site. Can't really blame them, but I refuse to pay $.99 cents for a song when I can buy them elsewhere for anywhere from $.05 to $.25. Would appreciate any advice given. Thanks, Steve

Ok, so you have the problem too. But have you had any replys with help? There are lots of sites that advertise music and burning. but when you go into them they are not what they appear to be. At least I can't figure them out.

Need Help, Finding a site for uploading swf files

Alright, so I'm kind of new to these forums. I searched them thoroughly several times, but couldn't a find a section for what I exactly needed. I used an older version of Flash and actionscript to make some interactive games and then exported them.
I've found plenty of sites that allow uploading of a variety of files, including flash based ones. The problem is that these sites are either for storage, downloading the file onto one's computer, or that they would have to go to a specific link to play the game.
What I want is to be able to place a file onto an uploading site and be able to embed it (I think that's the word) to my own site/forums. That way the game can be played on a site and or discussion forum, without members having to go to another site or downloading the game.
What file uploading site would you recommend for this? I've already tried several, but they don't allow embedding files. I would prefer for the site to be free, as I don't have enough files to make it worth paying a monthly fee.

Yes, why not upload it to your own website. Most of sites are not support swf file, but support flv file. To upload swf to your website you can use the code like

If you really need to upload swf to other websites, I think you need to convert your video but that will not a game. But maybe you can try to find some flash game websites.

Need Basic GD Library Installer for 10.5 XServe

Does Apple have a page where we can download common web server apps, such as GD? For some strange reason it doesn't appear included on the standard server install. I thought this was a typical web server helper app and by now they would have included it?
I recently moved an app to a new 10.5 server, and it's been a while since I did an install of GD. Everything is working on the new server, however I have to put GD support on the new server. I'm not doing any kind of custom install, and just need the standard GD installed.
Does anyone have a pointer to the info for installing GD on a new Mac XServer?

By "...joined to the domain..." you mean an AD domain?
If bound to AD and running as OD master, Kerberos shouldn't be running (look in Server Admin, OD) as the machine should be using the AD Kerberos realm for kerberized services.
For SSO / running Kerberos auth to. use services, clients must be bound to the AD.
(Kerberos needs "clocks to be synchronized", something like no more than 5 min. difference and using same timezone between all machines using it).
"...passthrough authentication is not working." - passthrough?
Using AD credentials to access some OS X server hosted services (for example AFP) might work even without client beeing bound to the AD, but not if OS X server demands kerberos auth. for the service in question.
With "passthrough" you might mean: client wants to ask OS X server for "access" using AD credentials?
As I understand it (in a service "simplest configuration" - at least not demanding Kerberos auth.) user/client can "authenticate" to OS X server which really asks the AD to auth. the user and (possibly) the OS X server authorize the user to access the service running on the OS X server.
But if you want to login on a computer using the AD credentials it needs to be bound to the AD AND a corresponding OS X homefolder must be "reachable".

Do SCCM clients need to be domain joined for Windows Patch Deployments

Hi,
We have SCCM 2012 R2 deployed in an environment with both workgroup and domain joined machines. Currently only the domained joined machines have the SCCM client installed. We were thinking of bringing patching into SCCM rather than WSUS but were wondering
if we install the SCCM client on workgroup machines do they need to be domain mebers to work or do they just need to be able to resolve the SCCM server?BAsically, I'm looking for confimation that we can patch non-domain joined machines via SCCM.

Ultimately, ConfigMgr doesn't care if systems are domain joined or not but there are some nuances and caveats that must be accounted for.

I need instructions for creating an application in SCCM 2012 for the latest versino of Captivate. I found instructions for the prior version but unsure if these apply. The instructions state to create a package, not application. Is it possible to create the application, and are there any special instructions I should know about?

Once you are done with your sitet, Click on Publish in Muse, select New Site from the drop down, It will ask you a name for your site, which will be used for site url, you will get a url like mysite.businesscatalyst.com, then go to the browser and login to the admin panel, mysite.businesscatalyst.com/admin and on Dashboard, click Launch site. This will push your site live, and you can then add your custom domain.
Also make sure that you have completed all these actions mentioned here

Need help for creating sharepoint sites for both internet and intranet users

We would like to know what is the best approach to create SharePoint sites for our customers(internet users) and internal employees(intranet users) on the same SharePoint server. Here is the scenario:
1) A customer posts a document from internet.
2) This triggers a approval workflow that can only be accessed and executed in the intranet environment. This approval process requires approval's possible modifications to the customer's document.
3) We would like the customer not to able to check the approval state and the modified document until the document is fully approved and finalized.
We are pondering if we need to create two sites, one site for customer and the other site is for internal approvers. Or one site is possible. It also looks like we need to somehow copy customer's original document to intranet site and triggers the workflow.
Any design ideas are helpful. Thank you advance!

Though it is perfectly possible to have both intranet and internet on the server, it is not a recommended practice. Having both on the same server would have multiple problems, instead me detailing it out, here is a forum thread on which Trevor had given

If you have valid reason to go with single server, then you can also explore email enabled lists as one option and another one would be using custom sharepoint designer workflow.
you can also try using event receivers to send documents to intranet site from internet site, process everything and update the document in the internet site.

I updated my iMac software and Acrobat application software and now it won't show the study material nor animations.... I have MacOSX ver 10.5.8, 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1 GB 667 MHz and Acrobat X. How do I get back to what I had previously?!? PS: my Time Machine is not setup so that won't do the trick this time...

Whether you need to buy Mac OS X 10.7.3 depends on what version of OS X you have now.
If you have OS X 10.6.x or lower it is a paid upgrade from the Mac AppStore.
If you have OS X 10.7.x it is a free upgrade you get using Software Update on your Mac.

You have to contact the company who you registered your domain name with and ask them to transfer that name to the server that you upload your website files to.
I would call this a domain name transfer.
