Need better Contacts, plus Task Manager

I was given an iPod touch at work, but as it is, I can't give up my old iPaq. The touch syched with the contacts in my Outlook file, but important fields didn't make the trip, like Categories and Notes.
The touch doesn't seem to have any sort of Task Manager, which I use extensively (and where I would again need Categories and Notes).
Are there any third-party apps out there that would behave more like these Windows Mobile apps? I really want to like this thing, but so far, I can't.

To answer your question, have you updated to firmware version 2.1 (or 2.0) and checked out the App store? I am willing to bet there are a lot of options there for you. I downloaded some music apps but for some reason they are not working, I have a post up about that now.
Some of the apps cost a few bucks, a lot are free, there is some really cool stuff there. Good luck!

Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

In Windows 7 Firefox often freezes or will not go away even if I close it.
So far the only way to resolve this issues if it last is to close it with Windows Task Manager.
Which obviously means that if I was frozen I loose any other tab that is open

Need better contact information- in-store representative did not follow through

After my current bill was posted, I visited a Verizon store in person to get my bill looked at and changed. Although still unhappy with the outcome, I had $9.99 removed from my bill because I was paying $80 for a shared plan, in addition to $9.99 for my phone... and I am the only phone on the plan as of now.
I gave the company some time to remove the extra charge not only in the store, but make the change online. Here, 3 weeks later, it is still there.
I cannot find a phone number to call, the "online chats" with agents are all full, and I see no email address to use.
Does anyone have information about better contact information? I am frustrated with the company- after spending over an hour to get ONE minor adjustment made, that didn't even happen. I would also like to make sure the change in my plan also actually happened before I am charged again.

Is there a "Task Manager" for HyperV Guests?

I have read articles such as

that indicate which performance counters to watch in the Guest.
An article is fine but the day-to-day network Admin needs better than that. They need a tool – like Task Manager --that understands it is running in a Guest and presents information from the Guest perspective.
Is there such a tool available either from Microsoft or a third party?

If you are running task manager within the guest, then it's from the guest perspective.
You can monitor your guests from the hosts as long as you know where to look.
However, looking for a complete monitoring solution for such environment, often leads to Operations Manager in System Center with it corresponding management packs.

I have the same problem - every time I close firefox (using either the red x or by selecting file ---> exit) the program appears to close normally, but the firefox.exe *32 process continues to run. If I try to re-open firefox normally I get a message that the program is still running and I need to go into task manager and manually kill the process.
I could also kill the process from the command prompt, but both of those methods are slow and annoying. This issue has only been occurring for the last 24 hours or so; to the best of my knowledge I haven't downloaded any new software or updated any plug-ins that would have caused a switch from firefox's normal awesomeness. Norton doesn't show any new viruses or other nastiness on my computer.
I'm running 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium edition.

I like many others now have a phone that does everything, and there in lies the problem..
It does scheduling, e-mail, browses the web, plays games, wakes me in the a.m., and yes makes calls.
But LIFE was conflicting with everything tucked into the phone.....
So I went back and dug out my LifeDrive, charged it, installed the Software on my home computer did a few sync's Cleaned, Cleaned, and Cleaned some more.....
Added, added, corrected, added, corrected well you get it.
Now I have a great handheld to manage all of the Personal items Kids events, School, activities, and even one or two for myself
What I need now is a Good Task Manager other than Outlook, I used Franklin in the past and liked it as I need to set a goal and break it up into smaller handlable items all towards completing the main Goal/Task.
I have 2 that I am working on each will be at least a year in length this is why I need smaller tasks to get the larger complete and stay on target.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?

i thought about going the same route you did, but when I started looking at the prices of everything, I decided it was a better idea to just get a new stereo that can play and charge my iPhone.
After a lot of comparing, looking and price checking, I decided to go with the Alpine IDA-X100. This is a media player only device (no cd player built in) and it has been great. It has an awesome interface and dial setup that let's you go through your music just as if it were on an iPod. It even has a small color screen that displays the album artwork for you. My car has a factory BOSE system in it and the Alpine head unit even managed to improve the sound quality. Go see you local alpine dealer (or best buy) and check it out. The supplied cable charges the phone and plays music too. Your iPhone will give you an error message when you plug it in, saying that the accessory was not designed for iPhone, but if you just click no it works great.

Firefox 29.0.1 on Windows 7 (64-bit): ALWAYS get "Firefox is already running but not responding..." error and need Task Manager to close/restart Firefox.

I run Firefox 29.0.1 on Windows 7 (64 bit) and I get the "Firefox is already running but not responding. In order to open the program you must close the existing window." error. EVERY TIME I try to start Firefox. The posted solution works to start the program, but it is not a permanent solution. I go through the Task Manager and end the old Firefox process, then I can open a new window. While working, I can open multiple tabs and multiple windows, everything seems to (usually) work the way it should. Then after I completely exit Firefox, in order to open the program again I need to fix the SAME error again. Every time. It doesn't seem to hurt anything really, but it is quite annoying.
I used to get this same error on some of the older Firefox versions but it was only once in a while. With the new 29.0.1 it is literally EVERY TIME I TRY TO RUN FIREFOX!!!!
So, down to the big question: is there a permanent fix for this yet? Or will there be one included in the next version update? Or am I going to have to go back to Internet Explorer? I know I am not alone in this experience; i've seen several other users posting similar questions but none of them received satisfactory answers. So what's the story here, team Firefox?

All devices signed into the same iCloud account will finish up with the same contacts. Of course if prior to joining iCloud two family members each had an entry for Uncle Fred, then you will finish up with two contact cards for Uncle Fred, and so on. If you tidy this up on your computer then the changes will propagate to everyone else.

Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

I have the same problem. Firefox won't unload regardless of how long I wait. Literally hours ... I must go in and 'end the process'. This has been a real hassle for a while now. Even considered giving up on firefox. Please look into this! An additional problem; I have to run firefox to get the updates, but I can't get the updates to take because I can't get firefox to unload so I can restart it.

I was looking around, because nowwhere before does it mention %temp%\AdobeDownloads\ Based on the error that comes back, I decided to turn on hidden files in Windows (Just type Hidden Files in the searchbox) and go see this AdobeDownloads folder. It is not there. In other threads relating to this issue, they talk about files in the
C\User\Username\Appdata\Local\AAMUpdater\1.0\ folder.

It is not strange that the AdobeDownloads folder is not there, since the Adobe Application Manager never has a chance to start. This is NOT a notwork error in the classical sense because I am able to download InDesign and all other Updates from Windows, visit every website.
Don't get me wrong, I fully realize that VM's are not supported. But I can name you 20 consultants who ALL run in a VM. Heck, even I ran this SAME Windows 7 version, with Parallels 7 AND 8, half a year ago, untill I had to start fresh 3 weeks ago. I CAN download InDesign, install it and activiate it with my Creative Cloud account, but I can't update them. The error is above.

4.5 erased my contacts, memo pad, and task manager on 8320!

I dont think that was supposed to happen, but the new upgrade erased all of the information in my address book. It erased the memo pad and task manager apps completely. I have yet to find a way to get it back. I doubt there is though. I would really like to get all that stuff back with out having to roll back the firmware because the one good thing about 4.5 is the video camera but whatever has to be done has to be done.

First of all, the loader process makes an automatic backup of all that data in the form of an .ipd file. Search your computer for this file. It's usually placed in My Documents but could be anywhere. If you deselected the automatic backup before loading the new OS then you could be out of luck.
Use the Backup/Restore feature to restore that .ipd file to the device.
Downgrading the OS back to the original will not bring your data back anyway so no need to do that.
