Need clarification on the addition of device driver in Installer

I am a newbie and am building my first application (LabView 8.5.1) and need an installer with everything in it. I am unclear about what is needed for the device drivers for the DAQ board. I am using a USB6009 OEM NI DAQ.
Do I need to include the NI-DAQmx 8.7 that I see in the Additional Installers section of the Installer builder? Were the device drivers included in the original application build or do I also need to include the driver somewhere in the installer? I see under "Hardware Configuration" in the Installer builder that I can include a "Hardware Configuration File" but I am not clear on how to do that or if it is needed. Is that how the driver gets included?
Please also explain how to ensure that the hardware is attached (via USB) at the proper time for the installation process or can that take place anytime after the installation.
I am building the application on a system with Windows 2000 but the target machines will most likely be XP, is that an issue?
I am a Chemist and not an Engineer so you need to use small words or define any big words that I have not used above. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you need to add DAQmx to your Installer for Supporting of your device on target PC.

Could not open the Bluetooth ACPI device driver (tosrfec.sys)

I installed Toshiba Bluetooth Stack on Windows 98 SE (Version 2.03 of BT Stack..).
If i wan't to run the Bluetooth Manager I always get the message "Could not open the Bluetooth ACPI device driver (tosrfec.sys).".
What can I do ?

Pls confirm if you are using Windows 2000 Pro, in this O/S the
hostname is the name of the computer itself. Check the
MyComputer->Properties->Network Identification->Properties, the name you
find under the computer name will be automatically taken while
installation, if it doesn't then there is some error. However the
C:\Winnt\System32\Drivers\Etc\hosts doesn't matter much while installing
iAS 6.0 SP1 or above. Hope this helps

TS1567 where can i find a download of the apple mobile device driver, mine has vanished

My Windows pc (windows 7 samsung laptop) stopped recognising my iphone 4. I tried stopping and starting my mobile device driver as advised by the troubleshooter, the driver then disappeared (unsearchable). I have been unable to find a download on the apple website due to the terrible search facility on software. Can anyone help?

i was having this problem with my iphone.......1st go into the control panel and then to uninstall programs and uninstall anything apple. once everything apple is uninstalled. go to www.apple.com and install the latest itunes. after the latest itunes is installed this should work. it worked just fine for my iphone. ps i had my iphone connected to my computer during the whole process.
Unfortunately did not fix the problem, have driver back, but still does not recognise my iphone at all. If you want to try it, i did not lose any files so worth a shot.
Any help would be appreciated

Now my question is, and it's probably a stupid question, but if I bring in my four older iPods I have laying around does Apple give me a %10 discount on EACH of them, adding up to %40?

Hi,
Calculated Property in webdynpro is required when you want to handle node context attribute programmatically.
When you say Context Attribute as True, it generates two methods, Setter and Getter Method for that attribute.
In getter method you will be getting one element it is the context node, where you created attribute. These methods will be called automatically.

TS1538 Problems Updating the Apple Mobile Device Driver for ipad4

My iTunes was not recognising my new ipad4 and so I followed Apple guidelines re. Apple Mobile Device Service and found that this was not listed on my laptop.
I then followed guidelines to update the driver - I followed steps to install the usbaapl file, however when I clicked ok to install the following message came up:
"The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for 32-bit systems."
Any ideas/tip/advice anyone can offer would be much appreciated! I just want to get my music onto my new iPad :(

A calcualtion is performed on a database for which create block on equation is off.The command SET CREATEBLOCKONEQ ON is issued immediately before an equation in the script.which statements accurately describe when blocks will be created?
1) blocks will be created ONLY when the equation assigns non - constant values to members of sparse diemension.
2)blocks will be created only when the equation assigns constant values to memebers of sparse dimension
3)blocks will be created when the equation assignes either constant or non constant values to a members of sparse dimension
4)No blocks will be created.

In the interests of actually providing (what I at least believe) the right answer, I think this thread is confusing what the docs say with what Essbase does.
If you use SET CREATBLOCKONEQ ON, the docs state that Essbase will create a block even with a non-constant assign. But Essbase will also create a block with a constant assignment -- it always does that. That makes the third answer correct.

Device drive with installer

I am building an installer for an app that uses NI's PCI-GPIB card. The target is a Windows PC.
How can I include the drivers Windows needs to install the card. Better yet can I avoid the "New Hardware Found" message?

You can include drivers under the "Additional Installer" section when buidling an Installer under LabVIEW.

Iphone and computer died at the same time, my hard drive on the computer is ok, i did a external connection of my hard drive to my laptop, my iphone was backed up on itunes on the computer which are on the hard drive, how do i extract contacts and other files from the hard drive thanks

If the old drive is not accessible then, no, you will not be able to access all your files on it. In this case you may need to look at the following:
Basics of File Recovery
Files in Trash
If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location. OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.
If you empty the Trash the files are gone. If a program does an immediate delete rather than moving files to the Trash, then the files are gone. Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When files are deleted only the directory entries, not the files themselves, is modified. The space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage, but the files are still on the drive. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.
General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten with recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro. Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

How can I update the Bluetooth HID Device Driver?

Can anyone tell me how to do it? I´m trying to pair a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 with a Lenovo T400 running Windows XP Pro with SP3 on it, and with all the latest Windows Update components installed on it too, with no luck. The mouse is working, took it to the shop to return it, but worked on a laptop running Windows 7, and the bluetooth on my laptop is also working, since it pairs nicely with my cell phone. Tried pairing a Logitech mouse and that´s when I realized the problem might be the driver. I´ve tried updating the HID driver with the device manager, but doesn´t work, nor can I find it on the Microsoft site to download and re-install it. Please help!
