Need Comprehensive Information on Building Interactive Forms in IDCS6
Where could I get the most comprehensive training for building interactive forms in IDCS6?
I need a tutorial that covers all bases from start to finish, and rules that cannot be broken. I thought I learned enough today to write one, but it appears there are holes in my methods as I found out tonight.

Actually Claudia's course on Lynda.com is about creating forms with Acrobat X Pro, and she completed it before InDesign CS6 was available.
Anne-Marie Concepcion discussed creating forms in her New Features in InDesign CS6 video on Lynda.com.
But Sandee Cohen wrote a dynamite article in the current issue of InDesign Magazine about creating forms in InDesign CS6 which is very thorough. The magazine is not available for free.

I am having difficulty in saving several forms, can not activate the form, error draw the functions of Adobe forms (fp_job_open ....)

you only can activate the form, when your ADS-RFC-connection is working...
so, first you have to setup ADS
if you can paint your forms, everything is fine with your Lifecycle-installation.

Need Java API for Adobe interactive forms

Hi Gurus,
Anybody help me to write JAVA code for Validation, interact to BAPI or RFC of R/3, mail system and etc... respective of Adobe elements.
Is there any possible to write ABAP code in NetWeaver Development Studio instead of JAVA. Because I am Quit comfortable to use ABAP code.

Need help with Adobe Interactive Form Saving

Hi Gurus,
I need your help with Adobe Interactive form saving.
I have written the code in pre-save event to prompt a message when user didn't enter any value before saving. The form data should not be saved upon clicking save (Just prompt the message and exit form the form). Can u please advice me how to do this.

Adobe Interactive Forms - ADS Configuration

Hello experts,
I'm setting up my CE7.2 system to use Adobe Forms. Now I configged my ADSUser and tested it through WebService Navigator using com.adobe/AdobeDocumentServces_com.adobe_AdobeDocumentServicesVi. It was ok and received my version number.
Now when I try to run my process, my process task (which is the Human Activity with the form) has the status Inactive. When I try "Resend form" I get an error. (see image below).
Following image is of my log files with error's on my ReaderRights, and top error is based on the "Resend Form".

Q1: Would the only problem be the Credentials I need to request? Or am I missing something else..
As I am a only an IT student, I'm looking into how I can request these credentials at the moment.
Q2: According to http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/de/4b/95ae5426f26e83e10000000a421937/content.htm I would only need credentials when having an 'Interactive' form. How do I make a ViewOnly form then?
Q3 Is it possible to have a step in your process which only sends a pdf with information and moves to the next process step automaticly without the need of a 'Submit' in the pdf? I'm thinking of a Mail Notification Activity here.

Hi Wouter,
if you only want to send a PDF without any user response, you do not need to use a human activity.
I think the notification activity doesn't support attachments, so you would need to write a piece of java code to send out the PDF via mail, and then call it from the process via an automated activity.

Hello experts,
We need to develop some Adobe Interactive Form with Netweaver Developer Studio .
I know that if customer create their own Adobe interactive forms then they need to purchase the license.
How much the license of Adobe Interactive Form ? We need to develop about 30 forms.
How long does it need that contact to SAP and got the license in general ?

You will need to contact your SAP Account Executive to discuss licensing for your company. SAP Notes 750784 and 736902 are good ones to read in advance.
It does not take long to receive a license and you can go ahead and request Adobe Credentials to begin development.

I would like to save an interactive form on my server WAS but without user action.
When the user push on the button, the data are safeguarder on R3 and the PDF is stored in the server.

In general, you should be able to do this by developing and provisioning a simple web service on the NetWeaver Application Server. This Web Service should store a PDF/XDP file that is submitted to it (over HTTP). Depending on your needs you can do this on whichever stack you prefer-- ABAP and Java.
In this scenario the assumed process flow is that the user will fill some information in the Interactive Form and press the 'Submit' button and that button click will transmit the Form to the server. At the server your web service will receive, process and store the PDF/XDP data. This web service will be, what you call, your 'data safeguarder'
Your web service will need to be responsible for handling the management of submissions-- for example, differentiating between new forms and newer versions of existing forms/submissions. This is not too difficult since you can determine certain key fields on your form and use them for differentiating between newer versions of an already submitted form from a new one. You can do this based on explicit (user entered) or implicit (system generated) variables on your Interactive Form that are passed between the client and the server.
I am not sure what the purpose/scenario is of you form(s) or what data your form(s) will contain but if you want more information then you can clarify your requirement and post a new thread.

Save interactive form

Hi,
i want to save an interactive form after the user has filled in the various fields, I try to use the FM FP_GET_PDF_TABLE but in this document (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw74/helpdata/en/4a/a1931bacd5007fe10000000a42189c/content.htm?frameset=/en/4a/a192e3acd5007) is specified that I can only bundle PDF forms that are not interactive.
Can anyone help me?

Create offline interactive forms using webdynpro java with XML data source

Hi Gurus,
I am having a scenario like below:
Sales guy request for order list online from portal- Sytem receives the request and creat XML file- from xml file need to create a Offline interactive form-Sales guy fills it offline at customer site- uploads in portal -on submit xml has to be generated with captured data at customer site-Process to ECC.
So my questions are:
How to create the offline interactive form from XML?
Once filled offline interactive form uploaded into portal how to create XML again from pdf ?
Please give some idea on this as this is my first Offline interactive form using XML datasource.

Sorry for replying lately. First of all I did not get your suggestions as your are editing the same posting.
Secondly we will be using WDJ. Actually in between SAP Portal and ECC we are having adobe LCES so we need to create Interactive form using XML only. Once it is filled again the form will be submitted to another application which is running on FLEX, which will process the order.

One of our clients needs value help in Adobe Interactive form for Java Webdynpro.
But I got a problem in value help. For the first time when I click the button its working fine but the next time itu2019s not working.

To add a static image:
In the Standard tab of the Library palette, drag a Static Image object into the form.
Insert the image:
To reference a link to an object stored separate from the form, double-click the Static Image object on the form design and insert the image:
In the URL box, type the URL to the image file.
Click the Browse button to the right of the URL box, navigate to the image file that you want to insert, and click Open.
