Need confirmation that an iPhone 6 (T-mobile version purchased from Apple Store) works with a European SIM card?
Can anyone confirm 100% that an iPhone 6 ("contract free" T-mobile version purchased from Apple Store) works with a European SIM card? Has anyone tried it yet? Lots of speculation so far, but no concrete answers yet. Thanks!
Perhaps and perhaps not.
The T-Mobile phone comes with a T-Mobile sim card inserted, so what you need to do is take that sim card out of the phone without activating it and insert the sim card that you want to use in the phone and then activate it. The phone should and might work then, but only on 2g and 3g - due to the frequency differences you won't be able to get 4g/LTE on the phone.
Remember if you do this you won't have warranty cover for the phone either - if you buy in the US, then its only valid for the US and no other country.

An iPhone 4 CDMA is CDMA only. It doesn't have any GSM circuitry and doesn't have a SIM slot. You can only use it on the network it was originally sold for.

My question is: Is it possible to use an iphone purchased in Japan (with a japanese sim card) in Europe with a european Sim card. I know it has to be unlocked but that's not a problem. My concern is the Sim card.

Where did you purchase this. The US phones do not come with the SIM removal tool anymore. They haven't for some time now. I'm not even sure it comes with any of the devices anymore. You can just straighten out a paper clip and do the same thing.

The US Apple Store accepts US-issued credit cards only. And they will ship only to a US address. Whether or not a physical Apple Store would accept a Lebanese credit card I don't know.

Most of the phone providers in UK offer microsim for iphone4 but in India iphone 4 hasn't launched yet so if i buy an iphone4 from apple store in UK without sim, how can i use my iphone 4 in India?
There are many posts about cutting down normal sim cards to the microsim profile which should work so long as you use one for a provider who supports the iPhone 3G/3GS. Their systems may detect that you're phone isn't supported and cut you off thought but the only way to tell is to try as it will depend on the provider.

I'm not sure I believe them (as it says on the website that the TMobile phones can accept an international SIM when traveling), but don't think I can take the chance. I wonder if I could get one, try it, and return it if it wouldn't work with AT&T?
It affronts me to spend full price to get a locked phone from AT&T!

That depends on if the phone you got was locked to a carrier or if it was unlocked. If it's unlocked, it will work on any supported carrier's network when using their SIM.

IPhone 3GS warranty if bought from Apple Store Online
I bought an iPhone 3GS (unlocked) directly from Apple.com.au (the australian apple site) while living i Australia. Recently the on/off button is not working very well, I have tried to restore to no avail...
Now I moved from Australia, taking my iPhone with me to another country (Sweden). Here they only sell the device with special plans and locked to certain operators. I do have the receipt from the purchase from the Apple store in Australia. Does this still mean I have to send it to Australia to get it fixed? After all it is unlocked and bought directly from Apple, ie no purchase a'la international-orders.com/ebay etc?

Apple does not have Apple stores in every country where Apple computers are sold including in every country where the iPhone is sold, the same for AppleCare, and the same for a physical location where you can ship anything to Apple. Even if you could, would you plan on shipping your iPhone to Apple unannounced without being expected?
If Apple does have an Apple store or stores in Italy, you can call an Apple store there and ask if they are willing to accept the iPhone being shipped to them by you. If not, you would need to return to the country with the iPhone to handle an exchange or repair, or ship the iPhone to someone you know in the country to handle this for you.
