Need current video driver
HP Pavilion p6577c Desktop PC - Intel(r) G45/G434 Express Chipset
Intel has a new driver - driver version 15.17.19.64.2869 (8.15.10.2869) for Intel® integrated graphics.
Your driver list only has orinal driver - new drive came out on 11/16/2012 .
I am getting a failure - driver out of date when loading game - world of warcraft...
Cannot get driver from intel - they said to get it from you... How or where do i get current driver?
Mallen01, welcome to the forum.
HP has their motherboards made to their specs. Therefore, retail versions of a driver will not work with them. This is why the driver from Intel won't work.
The computer is over 4 years old. I don't believe that HP will make a new driver for Integrated Video. It is a very involved process.

Can Someone Tell Me How To Update My Video Driver?
Hey there!
I want to start out by saying I am in no way "tech-savey" so if you can help me out in any means, a step by step process, or a relaitively simple answer would be GREATLY appreciate! Currently, I am playing a video game on my laptop (T61 Thinkpad) and I am told BY the game that my video drivers are out of date.
I was told to try and update them at the manufactures website after looking through the site I am at a loss on what to do. If someone can supply me with the link to download the latest driver, or tell me what I am doing wrong I would REALLY appreciate it! Thanks sooooo much !
My "Type" is 6457-BZ6
My Product ID is 6457BZ6
Also my OS is Windows Vista
Thanks SO much for the helpSomeone could give you better and more exact information but you didn't include the model number of your computer. But I can give you a pretty generic answer. At the top of this webpage you should see Product Support. Click on Laptops and then select which model of Toshiba computer you own, ie Satellite, Tecra, etc. Finally type in the model number of your computer. Select the exact model number and click the red Go button to the right. Click the Downloads tab and look thru the different drivers for this computer. Make sure that the new video driver is newer and has a higher version number than your current video driver. If it does, click the Download button, click the Run button and let it do the installation. Afterwards, reboot the computer so that the latest drivers are fully installed. Try again with that game.

Need video driver for Windows 7
I installed Windows 7 Home Premium on a Presario SR-1616NX and all the drivers installed OK, but it said I needed an updated video driver for the Aero transparency feature. Anyone know where I might find it? Thanks.
Hi,
AMD’s DirectX 9 ATI Radeon graphics accelerators are not officially supported under Windows 7. If the user chooses to, they can install the ATI Catalyst Windows Vista graphics driver under Windows 7. Please be aware that none of the new Windows 7 graphics driver (WDDM 1.1) features are supported (as the Windows Vista level graphics driver is limited to WDDM 1.0 level support). Using the ATI Catalyst Windows Vista driver under Windows 7 is not officially supported by AMD, and as such AMD will not provide any form of customer support for users running in this configuration.

[SOLVED] Need help in installing Video Driver.
Hi,
I am installing Arch Linux on Virtual Box. I need small help.
I have followed http://lifehacker.com/5680453/build-a-k … he-process this guide.
I am done with basic install (till audio). Now I want to install video driver.
lspci | grep VGA in my Arch installation (Virtual Box) gives me
VGA compatible controller InnoTek Systemberatung GmbH VirtualBox Graphics Adapter
On my Ubuntu (Host), I get
VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)
When I do pacman -Ss xf86-video | less , I do not see both the drivers in list.
Now my question is which driver I choose for Virtual Box and which Driver should I choose when finally I am going to install Arch Linux as seperate OS ( Not on Virtual Box but standalone).
Once I get familiar with Installation on Virtual Box, I am going to install Arch for triple boot (Windows XP, Ubuntu and Arch Linux ).
Note that I want to install GNOME 3 shell afterwards.
Thank you.

then proceed here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … ptional.29
You can't use the drivers for the Intel card in the guest OS, if you have enabled all this you still should be able to run Gnome3 Shell. -

Here you can find all drivers for your ThinkPad 600E. v2.15.01Q seems to be the latest video driver for Windows 98.
Set the screen resolution to 1024x768. You can also try to switch the screen size to full screen mode by pressing the key combination Fn+F8. -

View Solution.Hi:
See if this driver works. If it doesn't, you will need to install a 64 bit operating system if you want to run windows 7.
I know this driver works for the Celeron N processors, but I don't know if it will work with the Pentium N processors.
Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.

Can't get any video driver working (X-Server)
Hi everybody (and thx for reading this),
I'm about to install Arch Linux 64 Bit on a new machine, an Acer Aspire 8935G. I installed Arch Linux on several plattforms over the last months with help from the brilliant Wiki-Guide. Unfortunatley I can't figure out how to get the X-Server running this time, so I need a little (???) help here to point me in the right direction.
System is up and running. Graphic Card is a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 (and an Mobile Intel GM45). What I did so far was installing the radeonhd driver first (and later others, because radeonhd wouldn't work) and configure X with:
# Xorg - configure
Which resulted in a message of the X Protocol:
List of video drivers:
radeonhd
intel
ati
radeon
fbdev
vesa
after that I installed and ran HAL, to avoid problems with input hotplugging.
Finally, to test the configuration:
# X -config /root/xorg.conf.new
(EE) RADEONHD(0): rhdAtomGetDDCIndex: GPIO_DDC Index 5 exceeds maximum 5
(EE) RADEONHD(0): AtomBIOS returned 3 Grey Levels
(EE) RADEONHD(0): AtomBIOS returned 3 Grey Levels
(EE) RADEONHD(0): rhdAtomLvdsDDC: unknown record type: c
(EE) RADEONHD(0): ParseTable said: CD_INVALID_OPCODE
(EE) RADEONHD(0): atomSetBacklightFromBIOSScratch: rhtAtomDigTransmitterControl(atomTransEnable) failed.
^C
Playing around with vesa, intel and fbdev didn't bring me any further. Vesa and Intel led to a black screen without responding keys (hard reset is necessary every time) and FBDEV led to a error message:
Primary device is not PCI
(EE) FBDEV(0): FBIOBLANK: Invalid argument
Maybe it's an issue with the integrated full hd monitor, because of the DDC-Message, but googling around didn't help for the moment. The hardware works with Linux, Mandriva 32-bit-Image ran out of the box with X-Server and KDE 4.2. But I would prefer an Installation of Arch Linux with the software, I really need and want.
I will try to add the xorg.conf later on as I'm writing this on an other machine.
Thx in advance for the help!

Yes, I know. I also tried to get it working without an preconfigured xorg.conf. You know it... yeah... results in a black screen ;-).
zenlord wrote:And are you using the latest software? I installed Debian stable on a G45-chipset with intel graphics last week and I had to use at least the 2.6.2-driver IIRC, or upon loading the (old) driver, the DVI-port was disconnected and I was left with a black screen, but otherwise working install
Yesterday, I experimented with the Intel driver, because I found out that Mandriva also uses them, not fglrx like I thought. First I tried the xf86-video-intel. Have given me the typical X-Server feeling at start, probing the monitor I guess, than the backlight of the screen is on but the screen itself stays black. Fells like it's working, just the monitor is not respondig. Tried 1001 different screen settings, but the problem can't get solved. The same phenomenon can be experienced when usen the latest Intel-Git-Drivers from AUR. Last message of Xorg was: Setting up DRM Master or something like that. I will go and check it tonight again and report back.
zenlord wrote:The Ati-drivers are not supported anymore, are you sure your chips is not too new for the opensource drivers?
Like AdrenalineJunky stated radeonhd supports the card. I read about it yesterday.
zenlord wrote:And if even vesa is failing you, than there's more to it.
Where can I sign that? ;-)
zenlord wrote:Have you tried vga for a driver?
Not yet, will be done.

Silly me sprung for a 6-month subscription to a video game I'm enjoying on the Windows side of my partitioned iMac, and of course that caused the developers to release a patch that makes my video driver immediately useless. Game crashes at startup and unfortunately, it can't be worked around. I'm not overly comfortable poking around in the insides of Windows machines... after hours of research I downloaded the AMD installation app to upgrade my Radeon X1600 to the Catalyst Display Driver vsn. 10.2. After a few failed attempts, it gave me an 'Installation complete' message, but after restarting I still have the tired old X1600 installed (that's what the DxDiag report says, anyway.)
Not familiar enough with this sort of thing to want to start opening folders and rummaging; if anyone out there can give me some pointers I'd be eternally grateful; should you find yourself attacked by any mythological creatures, give a yell and I promise to come rescue you!
Here's what I've tried:
Download page:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/10-2/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx?&lang =English
Installation Instructions:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GraphicsDriverInstallationInstruction forMicrosoftWindows7.aspxI'd take the link above (there are others too) and create a list of steps and run through that in your mind - it is unique to Macs.
You'll be better for it if you just uninstall the program for AMD and Nvidia / uninstall the driver in Device Manager.
From there you have a clean slate for AMD driver. Some have used Driver Sweeper. But it really isn't or shouldn't be a nightmare - more like you are growing new gray cells and out of the slumber of not having to know or deal with how to get over the obstacles.
Windows on Mac is not 100%. There are hurdles and road blocks that no PC and no Mac using OS X need contend with.
Those threads have 10 people's inputs, opinion, what they did but you don't come away with a cookbook or recipe.
Some people did though and posted theirs. The good news is that it has gotten better. In the past you actually needed to go to Laptop2Go for modified drivers to use because the standard drivers and Apple's didn't.
Your two links, one is old out of date for XP, not 7. The other is not the current driver download page. Those set you on a different route.
Installing only happens after you remove the Apple set of roadbocks. Programs and Device Manager. Spriinkle with touch of 'salt' (Driver Sweeper 3.2) that removes registry keys and files.
Oh... as I did through AMD, it seems your X1600 is almost unsupported now.
I am choosing Mac graphics and Boot Camp as I could not find X1600 on its own:
Apple Boot Camp Windows 7 and Windows Vista Software Graphics Drivers

The driver is over a year old.

Elements 12 will not open unless video driver is updated
I try to open Permier Elements 12 and I get an error message saying my video driver is incompatible and must be updated. I have checked the video card and the driver and Windows 7 says it is up to date.,

This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. Adobe might be able to resolve issues quicker typically because they can opt to take remote control of your computer to troubleshoot your issue for you. We cannot off that remote control over computer troubleshooting.
When you get that display error, the resolution is targets
a. Update the driver to the current driver version for the card
and, if necessary,
b. Delete the BadDrivers.txt file. If you have Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active and you do not see the file, then other program failure may be interferring with its generation. The rationale for the BadDrivers.txt file deletion can be found in post 10 of this older thread. This deletion has been a life saver to those using 9 as well as later versions getting the same message that you are getting.

If you want to check out the following additional troubleshooting, please see
ATR Premiere Elements Troubleshooting: PE12: Premiere Elements 12 Editor Will Not Open
I have not mentioned this sooner since your reports all point to the video card/graphics card.
If you want to contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat, please consider the following link.
http://helpx.adobe.com/sea/contact.html?step=PRE_downloading-installing-setting-up_downloa ding-installing_stillNeedHelp
I have pre-set it for
Premiere Elements
Downloading, Installing, Setting Up
Download, Installing
which "should end" in a Chat Panel for you to click on.
I have pre-set the link to the web page which "should" have the Chat Panel. I am not sure if the link will hold the set.
If not, you need to navigate to the Chat Panel with the guideline topics cited above.
But, let me tell you now, Chat has been on and off available for some time now. At this very moment, it is in one of its off
moments.
But, if you really think that you can get a quicker resolution to your Premiere Elements issue from Adobe via Adobe Chat, then
please do so. Otherwise we could explore other troubleshooting avenues. Did you ever bother to disable the Intel HD Graphics
to determine the impact of that on the issue? Did you ever say what computer operating system your Premiere Elements is to be
run on? I have spared you the usual drill questions since your display error was glaring at us. So, I would ask what troubleshooting did you do in
the 7 hours that you said you spent on the program today that was not related to the video card/graphics card?
Please review and consider. I have no promotional interest in Adobe. My interests go to my fellow users with Premiere Elements workflow issues.

Upgrade video driver for satellite p205-7454
I would like to upgrade the video driver on my satellite p-205-7474, trying to get 3D to work on xactimate estimating soft ware ver 27.3. Current card ati radeon x 1200, recommended ati x1600 pro. Need no know how to upgrade and where to get driver.
In order to get the laptop computer to its small size with the least number of parts, most components, ports and connectors are all integrated into the system board. Included on the system board is the GPU (Graphical Processor Unit) which is soldered to the system board. Bottom line, there is no way to upgrade the video chip on your computer. Sure, you can put in the latest video driver that is compatible with your computer's video chip, but there is no way that you'll ever be able to get 3D out of this computer.

I purchased a W520 in May of 2011. I ordered an nVidia Quadro 1000M video card with the system. I also purchased a 4yr NBD + 4yr Protection support agreement. Since I'm a developer, and a Windows MSDN subscriber, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit onto the machine, replacing Windows 7 Pro 64 which was originally installed. In Jun of 2011 I contacted support about a Bluetooth not working and was told this wasn't a Thinkpad problem. In Jul of 2011 I contacted support because Bluetooth wouldn't work when the machine was removed from the docking station using the WiFi connection. In addition, Internet Explorer wouldn't work when running Shockwave Flash Object (IE crashed). I was then told this wasn't a Thinkpad problem. In Sep of 2012 I called regarding consistent video display pixelations of an external monitor when connecting the machine to the docking station. Was told the docking station wasn't under warranty; so I bought a new docking station. The video card still seems to be having problems, with Windows reporting an occasional error that the video hardware was causing Windows to stop working correctly. Since Windows seemed to recover from the error I didn't pay too much attention to the issue.
On 13 Feb I received a Windows Update that included an nVidia driver update. When Windows Update completed, my external monitor wouldn't work. When I contacted Lenovo support the 1st person who helped didn't. When I called back, I got another technician who was very helpful. It turned out the Windows update destroyed the nVidia driver installed and the machine reverted to the onboard Intel video (there was no nVidia device installed in hardware display). In addition, a Lenovo system update performed a few weeks prior updated the BIOS, which disabled the automatic use of the nVidia driver. So, I had to "enable" the BIOS video display to use the nVidia Optimus video card (although I have an nVidia Quadro card). I then had to download and install the nVidia Optimus 64 bit video driver for Windows 7 64 bit. All worked well and I got my external monitor working. However, I still received a notice from Windows that my "...video hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly." Since I've been getting these messages occasionally since I purchased the machine I contacted Thinkpad support.
I was told that because I installed Windows 7 Ultimate, there is no support for Thinkpad drivers and there's no guarantee they'll work. Is this true? Has anyone else been told that the installation of a Windows 7 version not installed at the factory will void the warranty for hardware software provided by Lenovo? I can easily understand Lenovo not supporting anti-virus software, DVD software, and other such utilities (which I got rid of), but device drivers? Thanks,Thanks for letting me know who Mark is. I have no idea how to contact him though, and assume he has no interest in communicating with me.
I'm sorry the current Lenovo support isn't anything like the support provided for my Thinkpad T42, which, by the way, I installed XP Pro on instead of XP Home it came with. Since I'm an MSDN member and a developer, we get all the MS operating systems we need to develop; why should we pay extra to Lenovo when we already have the O/S?
To date; they've brushed me away with the docking connector issue I called about (they suggested I get a new docking station, which I did but that didn't fix the problem), they brushed me away with the bluetooth connectivity issues I have with WiFi on, and they brushed me away again with the video problems I have with the external monitor.
I'm so shocked with the support out of Atlanta, GA. Thinkpad support used to be so incredibly good! When I called last week when my external monitor stopped working, they tried to brush me off again. The 2nd time I called back, however, one helpful gentleman walked me through getting the nVidia driver properly installed because both the Lenovo System BIOS update, previously run, disabled the recognition of the nVidia Optimus video driver/card and the Feb 19th Windows update provided a screwed up nVidia driver update, that seemed to remove or destroy that driver. When I called back after getting a Windows video hardware error, that's when I was told that essentially I had voided my 4yr NBD/protection warranty for Lenovo drivers and software because I installed Windows Ultimate.

I have worked with iMoive a ton and have never had an issue. I consider myself pretty computer savvy. This new iMovie is not my friend. It will not let me share my new video. I click on the project and click "share" like it says but I don't receive any further prompt. It literally does nothing. I tried the drop down menu and I see the "share" with an arrow indicating there are options but no drop down menu appears. I need this video by tonight to submit for work. HELP!
I got it to share! No reloading iMovie!
I do not have Mackeeper on my laptop
I have the movie files on an external hard drive
1. Close out iMovie
2. Eject the external hard drive
3. Start up iMovie
4. Plug in the external hard drive
5. Go into finder and double click on the folder containing the movie
6. Select the movie as if to edit
7. Share it!
I hope this works for you too
