Need Data source names for 0RPM_SIGH&0RPM_PIHG info objects

We are loading the data from SAP-xRPM to BW.I need to load the data fro the info objects 0RPM_SIGH&0RPM_PIHG.But i am not having suffisient information that which data source is providing data .So please help out to finding the master data data sources.
Full points will be given for the correct solution.*

There are no separate datasource for 0sold to, 0ship to and 0bill to parties.
They are referrenced to 0CUSTOMER in BW. and the datasources for 0customer are 0CUSTOMER_ATTR and 0CUSTOMER_TEXT.

How to create a DSN (Data Source Name) for "Oracle 10g XE" on SUSE 10??

Hii Friends,
I am new Linux user.I installed SUSE Linux 10.2. I am planning to do my project on Linux with J2EE,Oracle technologies. I installed Oracle 10g Express Edition. But unfortunately i have no provider name for oracle in the Providers List in SUSE/Gnome Desktop/System/Data Access points/ dsn list. I am unable to understand what actually happened. Should i install any other libraries, or Odbc drivers (I mean aren't they not given by Oracle XE Setup, as in MS Windows XP) ? Any one please help me. I need this immediately.

Tomcat 6/Java/mySql: Data source name not found

I installed the following on my laptop which has a Windows 2000 operating system:
- ODBC Connector for mySql
- the MySql Connector/J for Java
ODBC
In the Data Source ODBC Administrator of the Control panel I added a Data Source name for the mySql Database:
Data Source Name: mysql
Server: localhost
Database: mysql
When I click the Test button I get the message: Success; Connection was made!

You seem to be specifying JDBC driver while you are trying to connect to your database using ODBC,

For a function module how can I find its assigned data source name?

If i know the data source name then the assigned fn. module/Table/Infoset I could find from RSO2. But for function module How do I know its assigned data source name?

Hi Ram,
In SE16, enter the table name as ROOSOURCE and in contents choose field EXTRACTOR for selection and enter the name of the function module.
It will return the list of datasources where the function module has been used.

I believe this information is all stored within "AddressSnapshot" BusinessObjects, but to my knowledge, there is no data source for these.
I think what you're looking for will actually be Business Transaction specific. For example, are you looking for the Ship-To location for Sales Orders, or are you looking for the receiving address for Purchase Orders, or are you looking for Customer address information, etc.
Address information will generally be included as a section of the higher level data source corresponding to specific transactions or master data.

What is the data source name and the data target name for the table COSP

Actaully i am new to fico/bw,and i have to create a report based on the actual and budget value and difference in the variance.
in R/3 side the table they are using is COSP,so please let me know what is the data source name and the cube or ods name in BW side.wht are the fields in which i can get the BUDGET value in the report.
here we are using all the business content extractors and BI content cubes and odss.

Getting "Data source name not found and no default driver specified"

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a connection in SQL Developer (1.5.0.53) to an Access MDB using the Access Tab on the "New / Select Database Connection" window. I navigate to my MDB and then click the Test button and this is what I get:
"Status : Failure - Test failed: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"
I do have the 1.6 JVM.
Not a show stopper, but would like to see how SQL Developer works with Access tables, so any help would be appreciated.

This error message sounds like the MS Access ODBC driver or the Jet Engine drivers are not found. First of all you need to check the PATH environment setting if it includes the windows/system32 directory as this is the default directory for the MS Access ODBC drivers.
Next check if you are a normal user or a local admin user. As local admin open the ODBC Adminstartor (Control Panel/administrative tools) and check if a MS Access ODBC driver is registered.
If all above is true, please get from www.sysinternals.com and et the process monitor. Open it and apply a filter: Process name is sqldevloper.exe
Then start SQL Developer and open your created MS Access link. Process mon will now track all info containing all additional DLLs it tries to load.
Check out the generated log file from the bottom (last info about the mdb file load) to the top and look if it really finds all libraries, especially the MsAccess and Jet libraries.

I'm running
Red Hat Linux 5, MySQL and BOXI 3.1
I try and schedule a report in the CMC and the report fails with the error
A database error occured. The database error text is: {Driver Manager} Data source name not found, and no default driver specified. (WIS 10901)
I've went through the steps in the Bus Obj's Documentation outlining how to install the unixODBC (though this doco was for R2 - I'm not certain whether this install is needed for 3.1).
Error WIS 10901 details
Database error: . Contact your administrator or database supplier+
for more information. (WIS 10901)
              The database that provides the data to this document has generated an error.
Cause
              Details about the error are provided in the section of the message indicated
              +by the field code: .
              Contact your BusinessObjects administrator with the error message
Action
              information or consult the documentation provided by the supplier of the
              database.
Any pointers suggestions on how to set up correctly the unixODBC will be looked into.

Problem during the setting the query data source name in forms 6i

We are now doing assignments in forms 6i actually there is a problem during setting the query data source name in run time.
The problem is

that bolded area is the problem that ia varchar value the single qoutes embedded with that value.how can i embedded single qoutes in that concatenation.
That is now query will run like select empno,ename,deptno from emp where hiredate =control.value
But we need like select empno,ename,deptno from emp where hiredate ='control.value'

WIS: 10901 Data source name not found and no default driver specified(ODBC)

Hi, gurus.
We've created a universe based on Excel spredsheet or MS Access which is using ODBC connection. Then, I try to create query (which is using these universe) in QAAWS or in InfoView, and when I add a filter object to the query, the error occurs:
"GetDatasourceObject LOV exception (error WIS: 10901)".
If I don't choose any filter options and want to create query, I'm getting the error: ' [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified (error WIS: 10901)'.
We tried to do this in different operations systems - Windows 7 (32 bit) and XP (32 bit).
Anymore, we can use this universes at web intelligence rich client with or without filters.
Need to solve this problem. Please help us.

I got the same problem, I have installed BOE 4.0 at Win XP 64 bits, and also installed Sybase IQ 15.2 (32bit) ODBC, and has create the odbc entry "shkdemo" at the System Tab. However, I still got the same error when using the the "Interactive Analysis" thru "BI Launch pad".
For BOE 4.0, I found that I could only use the BOE Client tools (Universal Design Tool) to create the connection, this client tool I installed it at another 32 bit XP laptop, and I also installed the Sybase IQ 15.2 (32bit) ODBC with the same odbc entry "shkdemo", and using the "Interactive Analysis Desktop, I could be able to create report with data from IQ 15.2.
Kindly advise, why I still got the error of "10901 Data source name not found and no default driver specified(ODBC)" when I use the "Interactive Analysis" thru "BI Launch pad".

Data source value for data source reportData was null

hi i'm using struts 2 and jasperreports my problem is
it generate a pdf file with labels but no data in it..
and when i try to look at the logs of my sun application server
it says Data source value for datasource reportData was null.
reportData is an ArrayList of Personnel object.

Hi,
Looking at the code, it seems you are compiling a JRXML and that is all.
Instead, you should fill it with data and then export the result to PDF.
No wonder you don't see any result.
You need to learn more about how JasperReports work. For a start, I can tell you that you could compile JRXML files as part of the application build process using an Ant task, and not dynamically, like you did. But no matter how you compile the report template, you actually need to fill it with data, using the JasperFillManager and then export it to PDF using the JasperExportManager.
You can see all this in our samples in the /demo/samples folder that is part of our project distribution package. There is even a sample Web application in the /demo/samples/webapp folder.

I believe the runtime audit browser uses the views that start with "RAB" in the control center.
But it would probably better if you used the Audit Execution views. More information can be found in the "API and Scripting Reference" document...

In order to get access to the Public views from SQL Plus using a schema other than the control center, I believe you need to grant the ACCESS_PUBLICVIEW_BROWSER sys privilege to each OWB user. Look at Note:434718.1 for more information.

What data sources use for report which looks like tr. FS10N

I would like to create report in BW which will looks like transaction FS10N (G/L account balance display). Can anybody give some tips which data sources I should use and how initialize these data sources?
There is old genereal ledger in our system, so I suppose that I need data sources 0FI_GL_20 and 0FI_GL_21 but I don´t know how initialize it.

I asked because f.e. retail data sources 2LIS_03_BF or 2LIS_03_UM had to be initialize via tr. OLI1BW and OLIZBW. After that data sources were filled and then data could be loaded to BW by infopackages. But thanks for info that some data sources needn't initialization. By the way, is somewhere info about this (if data source need initialization and how find out transaction for initialization)? Thanks for advices.
About data sources 0FI_GL_20 and 0FI_GL_21: We delayed this because there is needed to switch on function Reporting financials (tr. SFW5) and other things -> I didn't recieve confirming (from higher position) that I can switch it on

for doing this activity
one thing u can do is this
i dont dont know much about windows programming
but i think that we we manually created a datasource by click odbc tab and then adding a datasource assosiating a mdb file to it
then in wondows surely some where it must have registerd
say for example there must be a datasource .ini file
now if this is true then u can do one thing
.ini file is similar to a text file
u can read this file thru FileReader class
and just extract the name sof datasource this is the obly option
