  • 'Exchange rate Fixed'  ticked by default in PO [Me21N]

    HI
The requirement is to tick 'Exchange rate Fixedu2019 at PO header for all PO's as default for specific plant/Company code
Screen selection layout can be defined at PO Document type level, is it possible to check this 'fixed indicator at plant level screen layout?
last option we can think of is making this indicator ticked as default for users[buyers]
    Please suggest

    Hi sasibhushan334 ,
In standard system it is not possible to set the field 'Exch rate fixed'
(EKOO-KUFIX) in Me21N by default. You would need a modification to
change this. In OMF4 you can see for the field selection group
"Terms of delivery and payment" there is no entry for "fixed indicator"
or field EKKO-KUFIX. This is because there is no entry in table
T162X for FAUGR = 2 or "Terms of delivery and payment". So this
has to be always set manually if desired.
However, in OMF4 You can make the selection of the exchange fix
indicator mandatory by clicking the currency and exchange rate as reqd
entry within 'Terms of delivery and payment',it will enforce the
user to tick the PO exchange rate indicator in ME21n during PO
    creation.
    Hope you find this useful.

  • Exchange Rate Type default different from M for a company code

    Dear SAP guru,
Would you shed some light on this?
How would we be able to default/assign a different exchange rate type from M at a company code level?
I have a company code - finance company - that every foreign currenty transaction needs to be translated using different exchange rate type (i.e. daily hedge rate) than other operating companies.
The OB22 screen makes it appear as M rate is specificied as 1st currency in company code, but grayed out and not able to change.
Please help me with your expertise on this.
    Kind regards
    taro

    Hi,
    ExRateType is hardcoded in
    Main Program     SAPL0F03
    Source code of   L0F03I01
*------- Daten zur ersten Hauswährung -
      rfcu4-curtp = '10'.
      rfcu4-bwer1 = '0'.                                        "AT 23039
      rfcu4-kurst = 'M'.               <<<<<
      rfcu4-cursr = '1'.
      rfcu4-curdt = '3'.
The reason why the assignment of exchange rate type M to the first company code currency is a historical reason. A lot of coding within the SAP system is directly developed under the prerequisite that the exchange rate type for the first company code currency is M.
As you described you want to setup several company codes in one client that all have the same first company code currency but should use different exchange rates. To solve that issue there are 2 ways available:
The first way is that you use the functionality to assign an exchange rate type to a document type. That would mean a lot of work because in that case you would have to define all document types seperatly for
    every company code.
The second possible solution is that you use different names for the fist company code currency.
That means for example that you name the first company code currency in company code 0001 USD and in company code 0002 US1. So you can use different exchange rates for the same currency.because in that examle USD and US1 are only different names for the same currency. Using this approach you can have different exchange rates for different companies with the same company code currency by setting only different names even though the exchange rate type M is fix asigend to the first company code currency.

    Madhu

    Hi Madhu,
    there are two options here.
One is by using the SHD0 T.Code by entering the valid values in the screen variant.
Second one is Press F1 on the field and check for technical information.
Check the program name and screen number.
Goto T.Code SE51,enter the program name and screen number in that.
Check the layout and in the field you requested there you can find in the layout.
Click on the field and go to attributes where you can make it as editable or inputtable text box.

  • Exchange Rate for GR same entered in PO

    Hi All!
We cover our exposure for foreign POs at the time of placing a PO and the same exchange rate is entered in PO. we want the GR to be posted with the same rate. But system valuates the GR with rate applicable for the GR date from global table. Is there a way out to ensure same rate for GR? or atleast we should have an option to manually re-enter the rate in the GR document.
    Points Assured for effective inputs.

  • Different exchange rate type for PO

    Hi,
I have a requirement, where I need to take a different exchange rate type for one particular PO document type.
I have already maintained exchange rate type Z in Tcurr table.
I should enable system to pick this exchange rate for PO wich are created from a PO document type
Same exchange rate should be picked for GR and IR as well.
If I overwrite the PO exchange rate in PO header, GR and IR are picked default M exchange rate type.
If I maintain Z exchange rate for doc type WE and RE, the same would taken for all POs GR/IR.
I should make it available only for a PO document type and relevent GR/IRs.
Can you please advise how we can achieve this.
Your help in this regard is much appreciated.

I'm trying to use mixed payment in my sales order. When i'm trying to use points in payment error is occured  "Conversion rate could not be determined". Where can i define conversion rate for my point type.
    Regards, EL

    Hi
If your desired rate is Average rate then , check the document type in OBA7, if there is any default value for the exchange rate.
If there is nothing in the default then only the average (M) rate is picked up.
If your desired rate is buying or selling rate then u need to specify the rate type in this field.
Please let me know if it works

  • Exchange rate upload throuhg Transaction ob08

    Hi,
I need to load automatically the exchange rates which are downloaded from company site which are in pounds  every month to transaction ob08
I'm trying to use TBDM to upload exchange rates, and I'm having problems.
I created an excel file according the help information. But when I try to run TBDM, my list and error log file are empty. No error messages, but no results.
I tried saving the file as comma delimited and as tab delimited text file, but neither worked. When I first tried to run TBDM, it wanted me to enter a data provider, so I had to set one up in the Treasury config. Is there other config I need to do? You said something in your message about using Access to make a fixed length file. Apparently I'm missing something.
I am also trying to load through Transaction TBEX but that does work either.
I just want to know from Financials gurus if I am proceeding correctly or not.
    I'd really appreciate any hints!
    MaRk

    Hi,
This question is very old but when you look for this in Google this is the first page that comes up.
To make your own uploadable table in Excel you need to follow this structure:
Required means that you must fill that field and Empty means that should leave it blank.
The length describes the length of the field. It's very important the length of the field because if you don't use that length then it won't work the upload.
    1 Data Class (Fixed value '01') - Length 2 - Required
    2 Key 1 FROM currency - Length 20 - Required
    3 Key 2 TO currency - Length 20 - Required
    4 Category Interest type - Length 15 - Required
5 Date Calculation Date (Format DDMMYYYY) - Length 8 - Required
6 Time Calculation Time (Format HHMMSS) - Length 6 - Empty
7 Value Value of Data - Length 20 - Required (Use dot for decimals not commas)
    8 Currency Not applicable - Length 20 - Empty
9 FROM Ratio Translation Ratio from - Length 7 - Required
10 TO Ratio Translation Ratio to - Length 7 - Required
    11 Other Not applicable - Length 5 - Empty
    12 Status Error status (values 50..99)  - Length 2 - Empty
13 Error message Error message - Length 80 - Empty
In excel you can define the column width with right click in the column. Doing that define every column with the previous length exposed. Fill the required fields.
You should use define every field in "Text" format because numbers like the first one: 01, must be 01 and it won't work with just 1. The same with date, if you have a date like 5012015 it won't work and has to be 8 digits like 05012015 (05.01.2015)
After you define every column width and define the required fields. Remember to delete the headers if you used them.
Finally save the file as .prn (Formated Text Space Delimited) and upload TBDM.
    That's it

  • Exchange Rate determination

    Hello Friends,
We have one business requirement related to Exchange rate determination in billing document, and the requirement is -
We have more than 100 company codes across global, in that for particular company codes example A001 (France), A002 (Malaysia) the exchange rate in billing document needs to determine as daily exchange rate which is different from average monthly exchange rate.  This rate is only applicable for billing document but nor for any inventory or financial (other than AR) or any other.  It means at the company code level, busienss wants to maintain average exchange rate which is needed for other FI postings as explained.
Hence the requirement is, in the billing document I need to determine daily exchange rate instead of averate monthe exchange for revenue postings, and the exchange type for daily exchange is "D".
Is there any standard approach where I can able to determine daily exchange instead of averate monthly....
    Thanks to share your inputs
    Best Regards,
    Goutham

I need to determine daily exchange rate instead of averate monthe exchange
the exchange type for daily exchange is "D".
I never come across this requirement and also on your second comment, I doubt whether in standard, one could see the exchange rate type "D" and I am unable to confirm this as I dont have access to SAP right now.  Nevertheless, what I would suggest is that you can create a new exchange rate type in OBO7 and maintain a daily exchange rates in OBO8.  Hope this should work.
    thanks

  • Exchange Rate MIGO

    Hi There,
We have a requirement from business which goes like this - For Import Purchase the Exchage Rate to be applicable should be by the Bill of Lading date i.e when the vendor has shipped the material. As per Standard SAP the Exchange Rate at the time of GR is picked based on the Posting Date. Can anyone suggest to how to go about it.. The Bill of Lading date is not the GR Posting Date because it takes few days to recieve the Material and perform GR in system, but the exchange rate should be captured based on the Bill of Lading Date.
    Please suggest.
    Many Thanks.

    Hi Mallinath,
The Scenario is suppose we are creating a PO today (i.e June'5,2014), the exchange rate in the PO will be as of today (cannot mark as exchange rate fixed!!). The GR is done let's say on June'15,2014. Along with the GR Vendor sends a BL copy, the date of BL is say June12,2014. So now here.. GR will be done on June15,2014 but the exchange rate should be applicable as of June'13,2014.
Appreciate if you can provide with any idea about how to deal with this..
    Many Thanks

  • Generalize Exchange Rates at the of month

    Dear Expert,
I want to ask about Exchange Rates at the of month, what I need to do.
Each trasaction have their own Exchange Rates which is different with Exchange Rates and Index in Administration Module.
    For Example :
    On May 30
Exchange Rates in Administration Module is IDR 9,250.
    I have 3 A/R Invoices
    Inv A, $ 100, Rates IDR 9,500 = IDR    950,000
    Inv B, $ 150, Rates IDR 9,300 = IDR 1,395,000
    Inv C, $ 200, Rates IDR 9,450 = IDR 1,890,000
Total A/R will be IDR 4,235,000
On May 31, 2010 I want to set Exchange Rate to IDR 9600.
So the Total for all A/R Invoices will refer to IDR 9600.
I hope that the Total A/R will be
    ($100 + $150 + $200) * IDR 9600 = IDR 4,320,000
What should I do? and What are the effects in Financial and my A/R?
    FYI,
    I use SAP 2007 A SP 00 PL 44
    My LC is IDR
    My FC is also IDR
    Thanks

    Hi Rajesh,
    Thanks for your answer.
I have tried your suggestion, but I have some question :
    1. If I don't need going back to my past Exchange Rates for the next month.
Does it mean I don't need creating reversal JE from Exchange Rates Difference?
    2. If I don't create reversal JE, I find outstanding value in LC
    For Example:
    - Open A/R Total USD 100, Rates IDR 9.000, BP Balance in LC will be IDR 900.000
    - Exchange Rates Difference in to IDR 10.000, BP Balance in LC will be IDR 1.000.000
    - Payment using USD 100, Rates IDR 9.000, Total Payment in LC will be IDR 900.000
So, in LC I still have balance IDR 100.000.
But in FC I don't have any balance, because A/R already close.
Because of Diffrences between Open A/R IDR 900.000 and BP Balance After Exchange Rates Diffrence IDR 1.000.000
Is it a must to create reversal JE for Exchange Rates Difference?
If it isn't a must to create reversal JE, how I can make BP Balance in LC to IDR 0.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Vicky Oktavianus
