The processing code is a logical name that determines the processing routine. This points usually to a function module, but the processing routine can also be a
workflow or an event. The use of a logical processing code makes it easy to modify the processing routine for a series of partner profiles at once.
The logical processing code determines the algorithm in R/3 used to process the IDoc
The processing code is a pointer to an algorithm to process an IDoc. It is used to allow more
flexibility in assigning the processing function to an IDoc message.

processing the IDoc data.
A processing code can point to an SAP predefined or a self-written business object or function module as long as they comply with certain interface standards.
Allows changing the algorithm easily
The processing codes allow you to easily change the processing algorithm. Because the process code can be used for more than one partner profile, the algorithm can be easily changed for every concerned IDoc.
The processing code defines a method or function to process an IDoc
The IDoc engine will call a function module or a business object which is expected
to perform the application processing for the received IDoc data. The function
module must provide exactly the interface parameters which are needed to call it
from the IDoc engine.
Message Type
The message type defines the semantic context of an IDoc. The message type tells the processing routines, how the message has to be interpreted.
The same IDoc data can be sent with different message types. E.g. The same IDoc structure which is used for a purchase order can also be used for transmitting a sales order. Imagine the situation that you receive a sales order from your clients and in addition you receive copies of sales orders sent by an subsidiary of your company.
The message type defines the semantic context of an IDoc. The message type tells the receiverhow the message has to be interpreted.
The term message is commonly used in communication, be it EDI or
telecommunication. Any stream of data sent to a receiver with well-defined
information in itis known as a message. EDIFACT, ANSI/X.12, XML and others
use message the same way.
Unfortunately, the term message is used in many contexts other than EDI as well.
Even R/3 uses the word message for the internal communication between
applications. While this is totally OK from the abstract point of view of data
modelling, it may sometimes cause confusion if it is unclear whether we are
referring to IDoc messages or internal messages.
The specification of the message type along with the sent IDoc package is especially important when the physical IDoc type (the data structure of the IDoc file) is used for different purposes.
A classical ambiguity arises in communication with customs via EDI. They usually
set up a universal file format for an arbitrary kind of declaration, e.g. Intrastat,
Extrastat, Export declarations, monthly reports etc. Depending on the message type, only applicable fields are filled with valid data. The message type tells the receiver which fields are of interest at all.

What technology that can be used for the creation of Need Definition?

Being on SAP SRM 4.0, we currently have a requirement for creation of Need Definition( Basically a build up for the contract ). Need being collected from the Backend systems need to be validated and approved by Buyers & Lead Buyers in the SRM system.
Technically, this task is broken down to below tasks.
1) Creation of need definition screen - Basically a template where a need can be created with Items, Sub Items and other related information
2) Selection Screen for Buyers and Lead Buyers - This enables the the Buyers to select the Need Definition assigned to them based on the status.
3) Report - List of all the Need Definition( Item and Sub Item)satisfying the selection of step 2. with the possibility to navigate to the Need Definition screen ( Step 1) upon selection.
Now the question is,
what technology is recommended for the above Tasks? We thought it would be BSP but do you guys have any suggestions...
Do we have any issues in displaying the report in BSP? please let me know
Remember we are version 4.0 of SRM.

[solved] Need DEFINITE solution to 'no more qt-config' problem

The qt-config utility (the one with which you could "switch" between qt3 and qt4) recently vanished. Is there a known definite solution to this problem, i.e. a way to set EXACTLY the same states/variables/symlinks/whatever that were set with "qt-config qt" and "qt-config qt4"?
And by the way, why was qt-config removed?

Because KDE 4.0 is just around the corner, qt4 from [community] will be moved to [extra] as qt. qt (3.3.8) will then be renamed to qt3 (still in [extra]).

As for the QT4 compilation, you won't need the qt-config anymore because qt4 is the "default" qt.

Need definitive solution Suite 6.83.14.1 not worki...

I see a lot of comments of frustration. but no one solution.
I just received my CA-42 cable with software.
I have Windows XP with Service Pack 2
2118 nokia phone
6.83.9.0 Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
6.83.14.1 Suite
I got a disk with the cable... I couldn't get the driver to work with what ever version it came with and so decided to get the latest software.
What I've read is that the installation should take care of installing the driver.
I get to a point in the Nokia suite "Get Connected" and it appears that it can not find the cable or cable with phone
I the XP wizard keep responding "new hardware found" but it can not resolve the connection. I'm not sure if Nokia suite is suppose to do this without the xp wizard or not.
Can this be made to work or not?
I've never tried this setup out before on any phone.. I'm new to this. I just wanted to be able to back up the data on the phone.

Removing the cable driver did not work.. Your suggestion was not quite as specific as I was hoping for

I've tried them both. Nokia_Conn_Cable_Driver_150_2_eng.exe and Nokia_Conn_Cable_Driver_145_5_eng.exe.
with one of them I did get something to flash on my phone at one point... It came and went and now I'm not even sure which one of the drivers it was. Xp is a pain in the butt forcing one to have to reboot after an installation.
This being the case I'm going to go through the process of installing these two cable drivers once again to see if I can get a handle on where and when I get something.
Still I'm looking for that definitive step one step two etc etc. using which driver which suite downloaded from where etc etc. on how to get it all working..

Aloha. I need some assistance. I have recently used disk utility and during verification and repair of my Mac HD I receive notification that an: ACL is found but not expected on "Applications Utility/ Applications/ and Library". What does this mean?

Pop up windows in Indesign to be used for definitions in PDF

Does anyone know how I can create a popup window to open when hovering over a word when the file is exported into a pdf? We need "definitions" to appear over difficult words in the PDF book.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Even though I don't have much knowledge on BSP, it should be a good option. Since SAP has used BSP to develop new screens in SRM 5.0.

Hi, yes I only use jax-ws to generate client artifacts for On Demand. I can imagine for first time user you have really big problems to generate the client code... The reason for this is in most cases the size of the wsdl files.
What you can do is.
1. Think about what you really need of the selected wsdl. eg. if it is account do you need all related objects like PlanAccount etc?
2. If you know what you need start to delete the not needed definitions from the wsdl and try the generation of client afterwards.

You posted this in the XML forum. Is this an XML file you are asking about?
And we need definitions for some of the terms you used in your original post. You said "it shows garbage". We need to know:
1. What is the "it" there?
2. How does it "show" something?
3. What does the "garbage" look like.

In Acrobat XI, how make "tooltip" pop up when cursor touches a button?

In a 283-page .pdf, words needing definition are hyperlinked to a "glossary." I want to have a condensed definition pop up when cursor touches the word. I've tried using an invisible button on the word, then put the definition in a "tooltip," but the "tooltip" doesn't pop up when the cursor touches the button. How can I get it to work? Or is there a better way to have popup definitions appear?

Yes, the button overlapped the link. Since the link goes to the full definition in the glossary, and the button is a condensed definition, I want both--and it looks as if I can condense the button so both will work. So far so good--unless there's a better way.

Satellite L650: Is it possible to get higher resolution screen?

Is it possible to get a higher resolution screen than the stock one, or one with better colour / contrast?
I've always been annoyed at how washed out the stock screen on my Toshiba looked. Recently the screen cracked, so I figure now is the best time to look at options.
Google has given me very little information so far. I've checked up pricing on screen replacement, with the part being around 60 and the part + service averaging 120, but that most likely leaves me with the same or inferior screen quality.
I would hope to find something more suited to movies / games and in 1600x900 if possible.
Any pointers as to where I should begin my search?

Yes this should be possible since the graphic card should support higher resolution.
The notebook supports the 15.6" (HD) TFT display.

Usually, an 'auto' type encoding tool will screw up the natural flow of the music and miss subtle changes in the energy, volume, etc.. -stuff that is just to subtle for it to catch -Generally I wouldn't trust an 'auto' type setting to pick up this subtle stuff. Yet people say using VBR improves sound quality (and NOT file size). Why and how ?
Bonus Question 2:
What is the max bit rate VBR uses ? If I set my AAC encoder to 320 kbps and turned VBR off, wouldn't the sound quality be superior to encoding with VBR on (simply because the kbps are set at 320 the whole time...) ? Sure, the files encoded with VBR off would be larger, but wouldn't the quality be better ?
Bonus Question 3:
Lastly, I did a little test and encoded one song with VBR off and one with VBR on. The VBR song was 1.5 MBs bigger - Huh, I thought, is that increased file size the result of improved resolution throughout the whole song, or just one little section (haven't had time to listen to them)?

These are some pretty tough questions. I like VBR encoding in general, as it does allow for more complex passages to take advantage of higher bit rates while less complex passages fall back to a lower bit rate, while keeping within fairly consistent file size parameters. Whether VBR yields better results at different target/average bit rates is another matter, and really requires that you encode and properly test output files before deciding on anything but "recommended" settings.
At maximum lossy bit rates of 320 kbps, it doesn't make sense to use VBR. If I recall, the LAME MP3 encoder presets actually preclude VBR encoding for the highest quality files, and the same may be true for iTunes AAC.
I have to admit that to speak with any certainty or confidence about the issues surrounding your various questions, one would really need to encode a bunch of files with iTunes from lossless sources and test them in software such as foobar2000. I could investigate this easily on my own PC, but I don't encode music at 320 kbps AAC, since I have enough disk space to just listen to lossless files. iTunes doesn't display dynamic bit rate changes as foobar2000 does, and I haven't come across any Mac software that does as good a job of allowing for proper testing as foobar2000 for Windows does.
If you really need definitive answers to these three questions, then I think your best bet would be to do as I've hinted and use iTunes and foobar2000 if you've got access to a Windows computer to do this testing and evaluation for yourself, or sign up for a user account at Hydrogenaudio and post the same message there.

Greetings, all!
I've been looking for a way to give back to this community (and the GNU/Linux community as a whole) for months now, and recently, find myself with a more flexible schedule. Well, I'm not one who has trouble putting two and two together... This is my chance! But what can I do?
I figured my skills would best be put to use contributing to the ArchWiki, and spent the last few days thoroughly exploring the wiki and related forum posts. It seems a major effort began back in 2006 to dramatically re-structure the wiki, but activity seems to have died off recently, as far as I can tell.
I'm left with a few questions and ideas I'd like to put forth before really "diving in" and getting dirty.
* There was a fair bit of discussion about moving from MediaWiki to another system--is this still in contention?
* Which structure is the wiki aiming for:
a) Monolithic: Massive articles covering everything and everything else about a topic (e.g.: the Beginner's Guide, the Xorg article, etc.)
b) Fragmented: Smaller articles aimed at covering one very specific topic and covering it well (borrowing from the UNIX philosophy)
Personally, I think the 'fragmented' approach leads to a much more maintainable wiki. Furthermore, it tends to reduce duplication of effort (there are probably a dozen different articles all containing information on "configuring pacman," for example).
I think right now the wiki is in need of a "benevolent dictator" to take charge and make some major direction-changing decisions (wiki structure, templates, conventions) before we can really work towards a real "professional"-looking and feeling wiki.
Yes, the alternative argument has merit: "It's a community effort! We should all decide how to shape the wiki, etc." Unfortunately, this decision-making process has been going on nigh three years now. We need definitive action!
I'm willing to volunteer a significant amount of my time towards improving the ArchWiki, but I think the focus needs to shift to the underlying framework first, and enough of this "Just fix up spelling, etc. while we decide how to improve the wiki" nonsense.

I don't think it's a good idea to use the beginners guide as reference. I vote for exclusion of that article from the discussion of
specialized vs. well.. uh the word was monolithic
because it's a guide from start to end about something special (installing and setting up an arch linux system). it should be huge, it should be covering almost everything about almost everything relevant in that stage of the installation/configuration process. It's not helpful for new users if you provide a list of articles which might or might not be exactly what they are looking for (which is an understandable guide for setting something up for the first time)
furthermore specialized does not exclude monolithic. I don't think the xorg article is too long. what would you throw out, pointone? It's about the configuration of Xorg, thus it contains exactly what it claims to contain and only that. the fact that Xorg is a beast to configure changes nothing.
The goal is not to have small articles, but to have articles that cover exactly what they claim to.
as far as i can tell, you, pointone try to suggest a generalized structure with this thread. when you say you want more focused articles, what do you mean. I think we all agree that losing information is not part of a successful restructuration, which means that you need to get all the information about Xorg into smaller articles which are then spread over the wiki (preferably in a category Xorg). How is that helpful? you already have this. the Table of content does exactly this. it just catenates your focused pages and provides links to the relevant section instead of a new page.
I agree though on the fixing the hole before pumping water out
I will see that i can use some of my term break to fix articles in the wiki which are sorely out of date (I noted some of them somewhere, if only i could find my notebook (a real one, like with dead trees in it and stuff )
