  • I need information about basic features before deciding to upgrade

    There is very little information on basic iPhoto 11 specifications. Can I upload AVCHD Lite video clips, and will they automatically work in iMovie (like motion JPEG ones do)? Can I easily create and switch among multiple libraries? How will iMovie relate to different libraries?

    Do NOT "upgrade" to the iLife'11 version of iPhoto. It is a disaster. Apple launched this way too soon. It is full of bugs and the vast majority of users are having serious problems with it. In my case, I created numerous iPhoto libraries over the years (one for each major theme of photography I shoot). Since "upgrading" to the new iPhoto software I am no longer able to re-access those libraries that I opened with iPhoto 9.0 (iLife '11). Once the libraries are converted to the newer version of iPhoto I can no longer reopen it. Now when I try to launch iPhoto and open those converted libraries I get a greyed out window and the spinning spoke/wheel. Thankfully I have back ups of my libraries, but I'm now stuck with trying to figure out how to get iPhoto '11 off my computer and go back to iPhoto '09. Apple really screwed this one up big time.

    There is no main use of SRM, there are areas areas in wich SRM can be used depending on the needs, what SRM can do is
    - Aiding users in the procurement process with what is known as self service procurement
    - there is no main use of SRM, there are areas areas in wich SRM can be used depending on the needs, what you can do with SRM is
    - Aid users in the procurement process with the self service procurement functionalities
    - integrate SRM with external systems and process requirements created in the external system using SRM functionalities
    - negotiate with your supplier using the bidding engine
    2 you may attach a BW to SRM in order to have reports on the documents that were created in srm, shopping carts, POs, bid invitations, GRs ...
    3 it depends on what scenario you are using, PR may be created in R/3 and processed in SRM, shopping carts in SRM may be creating PRs and POs in R/3, you can also post GRs and invoices to R/3 using SRM.
    4 You can import vendors from R/3 or define them locally and assign them to a vendor that already exists in R/3
    5 a shopping cart is a list of things you would like to buy, almost like a PR in R/3, the follow on document of a shopping cart can be a local (SRM) PO, an R/3 PR or PO ....
    And to answer your general question, with BW you can analyze what is happening in SRM, you will see the documents that were created in SRM (shopping carts, local PO, bid invitation and quotations, goods receipt, invoices) and their reference to the R/3 documents where those references are present. You wont see the documents that are created in R/3 as follow on documents of the ones that have been created in SRM, you will need to attach your BW to the R/3 in order to see this.
    1) SRM transaction are carried out using ITS (internet transaction server) transactions ie internet based , which is not possible by SAP MM.
    2) Capturing the requirements at higher level (for example material group level) and auto process of purchase orders are possible in SRM , which is not possible in SAP MM
    3) At high level it is very industry friendly for indirect materials (i mean where we can't have stocks ) procurement compared to SAP MM .
    4) SRM needs a backend system for financial posting . this is a minimum requirement .SRM won't support Finance transactions.
    5) In case , we have SAP ECC or R/3 system , the functionalities in SRM and ECC can be leveraged to the maximum possible .
    6) Back end system and SRM system are connected by defining logical systems and the interactions will happen by various means for example RFC calls, BAPIs, IDOCs etc.

  • Need help about setting up a JMS sender channel

    I just started to play with PI for a few weeks and I'm trying to setup a simple JMS sender channel to read stuff from a WebSphere MQ.
    I've someone installed JMS adaptor for me, but we never know it is correctly installed or not. First question is "Is there any way we can verify JMS adapter is correctly installed or not?"
    In the Design: integration builder, I've a very defined a very simple data type(src_dt) which is a string and a message type(src_mt) which uses resp_dt. Finally I created a message interface (test_mia_out) that contains src_mt. At this point of time, I don't need message mapping so I didn't configurate this section.
    Then I went to Configuration: Integration builder and created a new communcation channel with the following setting:
    Parameter section:
    Adapter Type: JMS
    Transport Protocol: WebSphereMQ (Non-JMS)  <- if i don't use this option, i can't enter MQ connection detail in the Source section.
    Message Protocol: JMS 1.x
    Adapter Engine: Integration Server
    Source section:
    QueueConnectionFactory Java Class: com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueueConnectionFactory
    Queue Java Class: com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueue
    ...MQ connection detail...(IP, Port, Queue Manager, Channel and Queue Name )
    Transport Protocol: TCP/IP  <- this is consists to server side setting
    JMS-Compliant: JMS-Compliant
    Since I only want a very simple working sample, again I didn't change the content in receiver determination, interface determaintion and sender agreement.
    Now when I active this change and I saw the following error in the channel monitor:
    Short Log - Channel has internal error
    Admin Info - Exception: Channel with Status Unknown or Not Registered
    I did stop and start the service, refresh CPA cache and even restart the entire PI server, I always see this message and cannot find any more detail description about what is causing this problem.
    My PI Server version is 7.0 and MQ version is 5.3
    There's very limited resource about how to setup to read MQ message in PI and I'm stuck now. Therefore, I need a help from some experienced people to tell me if I have did something wrong or missed some steps?
    And if possible, could people mind to post a step by step go through how you setup it up?

    Before you use the JMS, you need to deploy some drivers related to specific MQseries, Kindly ensure that proper driver are deployed....
    If you use MQSeries 53x.xxx, you must enter the following JAR files in aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda.
    com.ibm.mq.jar, com.ibm.mqbind.jar, com.ibm.mqjms.jar, connector.jar (use the JAR file from the J2EE client directory)

    The module is not very sophisticated. Profficiency in Java or ABAP will be a great bonus here. There are plenty of good materials regarding XI on SDN. I suggest to start with step-by-step guides and master all basic integration scenarios

    Since the Exchange Server 2013 CU5 just be released, there is no detailed technet article or exchange team blog to verify some issues during installation. But I see a MCC who update a member in a DAG, there is no problem. If there are some issues, you
    can check the setup logs or event logs.
    Based on my known, if your environment meets exchange server 2013 prerequisites, and you follow the exchange server 2013 installation process, there should be problem.
    I recommend you deploy the patch on test environment firstly, and then apply it on production environment.
