Need DirectX11 to play game on Qosmio F60

Good Day,
I just got call of duty ghosts and watch dogs for the Toshiba.
Both games require Directx 11.
Is Directx 11 going to come out for this machine. If so when?
Thanks

From my knowledge Toshiba does not release drivers for old, discontinued notebook models.
In case the new notebook models were equipped with the same graphic card like for example Qosmio F60, you could use the same driver released for other series.
But hte poit is that if the GPU (graphic card unit) does not support the DirectX 11, the driver update will not help you a lot. The DirectX support depends on the graphic card!
I dont know what GPU is used in your notebook but some Qosmio F60 units were equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M GPU and this is an DirectX 10.1 and Shader 4.1 capable graphic!

  • How can I cleanly re-install win 7 and drivers for Qosmio F60?

Guys I really need help here.. My *Qosmio F60* has been infected with annoying google re-direct virus..
I am thinking of re-formatting my laptop. But I don't have the any CD. I really forgot if my Qosmio came with the CD or not.
Please help me on how to re-install windows 7 and re-install all the drivers for Qosmio F60 while I don't have any disk with me.
    Thank You

    Hi
New notebooks are offered without recovery discs but with HDD recovery option. How to install OS again using HDD recovery option you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm
After finishing clean OS please create recovery discs using preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator. These discs can be used if HDD recovery option will not work for some reason.
    Bye

    first thanks for your reply,
    >Have you noticed this behaviour on all games you want to play or just by newest games?
I talking about (Starcraft 2) it was working perfectly before but new the sound lag badly that i disable the music and scape the cinematic part to play it.
    >While gaming, do you use your notebook with high performance power plan?
    Yes I use it.
By the way: sending DX info is OK but Im 100% sure nobody here will read this. I hope someone read it.
    @ Xardas,
I try all the things you just say, and sadly it doesn't work. I have the last display and sound driver and last DirectX, I use the high performance power plan while gaming.
I try Disable AntiVirus/Firewall while gaming but it the same it doesn't work.
    thanks.

    Hello Vaidas Vaidas,
It sounds like you are noticing someone else is accessing your Clash of Clans data by playing the game and you have tried to reset your Apple ID password. If you are following the steps outlined in this article:

  • Can i use my iphone 4s to play games, surf internet and such without phone service? It says i need a sim insertwed to activate it.

recieved phone from a friend.  I believe it to be a iphone 4s. I dont know from which carrier it originated CDMA or GSM.Turns on and begins setup. I enter my language and location , it begins to search for a wifi signal which is present then it says insert a valid sim card and it wont go any further than that. It tries to activate but then just says insert valid sim . I just want it too boot up so i can play games, apps, and surf web without phone service. Is that possible?  I knowe it is because i used to do it with my wifes iphone 4s

You need a sim to activate an iPhone. The sim does not have to associated
with an active account; however, if the iPhone is locked to a wireless provider,
the sim must be from that wireless provider. Borrow an appropriate sim from
a friend/relative/co-worker for the few moments it will take to activate the iPhone.
You will need a sim in the iPhone to reactivate whenever you restore the iPhone
    or update the iOS.
Call Apple to find the origin of the iPhone. You will need the serial number from
the back of the iPhone. Or ask your friend - he should know the details about an
    iPhone he previously owned.

    Try this First...
Close All Open Apps...  Sign Out of your Account,,,, Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • Re: Qosmio F60-L10 - Do I need an extra antenna for TV tuner?

    Hi,
i have an question for the Tv-Tuner of the model Qosmio F60-10L. Do I need to connect an extra DVBT antenna or can I watch TV without to connect extra periphery?
    Thanks

    Hi zero82,
I have checked the specifications on the Toshiba website about Qosmio F60 and founded an interesting information about integrated TV Tuner that should answer your question:
+Toshiba laptops equipped with a DVB-T/analog Hybrid TV Tuner are ready to receive digital or analog TV channels wherever you want. The most popular TV broadcasting formats are supported. *The compact TV Tuner is simply integrated and additional power supply or external antenna is not required.* The comprehensive software package offers an electronic program guide, time-shift recording, videotext, various recording and replay functions to enhance your mobile TV experience.+

  • Qosmio F60, PQF65A - How to play blu rays?

Hey people, I have been having immense trouble getting the blu ray player to play the blu ray disc's. I got this laptop second hand and all the manufacturer software was uninstalled so I had to start afresh.
Currently I have Toshiba DVD player V3.01.1.07-A. I have been trying very hard to find a patch or a player that will allow me to play blu rays. Even VLC media player won't do it. Its frustrating the living out of me.
I have d/l so many versions of WinDVD but to no avail. I keep getting a message saying that its not compatible with my current version.
    Please help.

    Hi
The WinDVD BD was preinstalled on notebooks which are equipped with an BD drive.
The notebook seems to be an Toshiba Australian series and I found all the drivers and tools here:
    http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/qosmio/f60/pqf65a-00y002/download
There you can see that an WinDVD 8 Blu-ray Player Update is available for download but for models with Blu-ray.
If you are still using the original Toshiba Windows system, then you could try to set the notebook back to factory settings using the HDD recovery option or Recovery disk (you have to create such disk) and then can check if WinDVD BD would appear as preinstalled software.

  • What to do when Adobe is needed to play games.

What can I do to play games when Adobe is needed?

Do you mean Adobe flash player ? Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ (and Adobe have never managed to create a version that works on iOS devices and they have now given up trying).
For games the iSwifter browser app works on some flash-based games, and the Photon browser (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photon-flash-web-browser-app/id430200224?mt=8) says :
Photon Browser allows you to play Flash games such as free Facebook games, use Flash apps, listen to music streamed via Flash player and watch Flash video.
Whether either iSwifter or Photon do actually work I don't know as I havn't got them.
Edit : also some games have their own app versions in the store

I live in Iran. I installed a XP professional too on my notebook and most of games that there in Iran are cracked. I have problems with playing games. Some games load without any problems such FIFA 2005 but some of them doesn't load.
Once I installed XIII in standard mode and it doesn't load again I installed same play in minimum mode

    I don't know what do I do?

    amir

    Hi Amir,
As you know, most current games manufacturers are using quite sophisticated anti-copy techniques on their CDs/DVDs and it is not always possible to bypass these routines successfully.
The effect of this is that these CDs will not always load or run correctly. Some will allow the load process to complete but will then not allow the game to run. Sometimes the game will run but in a reduced mode with not all the available game options enabled.
Sadly I know of no way to avoid this happening other than to try to obtain genuine game CDs if possible.
Good luck with your gaming :>)

  • Qosmio X300-14V - Crashes while playing games

Hello ! I have some problems with my Toshiba Qosmio X300 14V. While I'm playing games installed on the computer it "crushes". The screen goes black and the speakers start buzzing.
I noticed that if i reinstall teh windows, driverers and directX it won't happen for some time. I also have to mention that it doesn't happen with ALL the games. It mostly happenst to games that require higher performance of teh computer; games like Just Cause 2, Neef For Speed Hot Pursuit, Fallout New Vegas. In one case it happened to a pretty old game, Shadows Ground Survivor.
If anyone can find any reasonable explination please help me. Thanks in advance.
P.S. About 4-5 months ago my HDD crushed, so I bought a new one and installed win 7. At that time I was using win vista home premium x32 with the drivers that were included in the recovery pack. Before the new HDD I had no problems with the computer. Apart from some occasionally crushing because of ovearheating because the venting channels were filled with dust.

    Hi donrumata_1,
Maybe the notebook crashes due overheating?! Have you already tried to clean your notebook with compressed air spray?
This can blow out the dust from cooling ventilators and takes only few minutes. Furthermore its not necessary to disassemble the notebook so its very easy and not complicated.
