Where in the world did you read Deleting All My Mail? I have reread my answer several times and cannot seem to find that in there.
When you mark a message for deletion it does just that. It marks it for deletion and hides the message. It is not truly deleted until you compact.
My point is that unless you deleted your important mail they should still be there somewhere.
Your question was about compacting and thinking it put your messages in a nice little box for safe keeping and now you want to open it.
I have to agree that Thunderbird did a horrible job of naming this process because most are like you and do not understand what it actually does. I included the link to the explanation of what compacting means in the Thunderbird world.
Your messages may still be available to your but finding them has nothing to do with compacting.
Thunderbird does not archive anything unless you use that process by selecting the message and pressing a. You have the option to setup where you want that archive to go and what folders to make.
The All Mail folder is a goofy gmail arrangement. If you have problems with that then you need to address that with Google.
If you go into your gmail account on the gmail site do you see the messages you are hunting in the All Mail folder there?

Need help for asynchr. scenario between 4.6c and XI

Hi,
I need some help with this. We are running 4.6c and now I need to talk to XI 3.0 asynchronously.
I have a situation where I need to send data to an external application.
So: R/3(4.6c) -> XI -> external application (the application is not in our landscape).
It's not required for now to get an answer back from the external application so what are my options?
I want to build my solution around that I will eventually get a response back to be real time but
for now, the FTP adapter should work fine. PCK will be implimented in the future to make it real time.
Just for a test, I tried:
R/3 -- (RFC Adapter) --> XI --> File adapter ... but it's crashing in R/3 since R/3 is expecting
a response back. If I setup two receivers in XI (one being R/3 and the other the file adapter, then it's crashing in XI saying since I cannot have two receivers for a synchronist request.)
I was looking to use an ABAP proxy but from what I'm reading, it cannot be used in 4.6c.
So what are my options? Is it only trough an IDoc that I can communicate out of R/3 to XI if my request don't required a response back?

Hi Yves.
For a 4.6 R/3 system the only possible options are the RFC adapter and the Idoc adapter.
The Idoc adapter is used for async processing (no reponse)
The RFC adapter is used for sync processeing (and will therefore always expect a respons message)
The File adapter also onlu supports async (no response) processing.
There are two ways to solve your problem:
1. Create a Idoc to file scenario
2. Use the sync to async bridge

Technical documentation for Procurement Scenario

Hi,
Does anyone have the technical documentation for the Procurement Scenario? We would like to enhance this scenario but first, we would like to understand all the components it uses, from the user interface layer down to the backend layer. So far all the documentation I have seen from SAP are for business/functional demonstrations, but there are no documents that go into the technical level.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Need Documentation for report RCNCT001

I have to execute report program "RCNCT001' to regenerate the structure in some Project system report to add the custom fields.
SAP suggest to refer the documentation for this report to step-by-step guide. But i could not find the documentation anywhere. Also, when i run this report to regenerate structure, it is asking for the access key for object : R3TR PROG RCNSTRUCR.
Has anyone used this report before? Can any one please provide me the documentation for this report?

Hi,
I had the same problem regarding executing the report RCNCT001 but I have found a way out which has worked out for me. Here are the steps carried out by me.
Select the Structure that you want to Enahnce by Clicking on PS Info System Structures. I had an requirement to enhance WBS Element so I selected WBS Element Radio Button.
Click on Execute.
The Program will ask for Access Key.Hit Display on the Access Key Entry Screen.
The progarm gives a warning.
Hit Enter.
The Program will AGAIN ask for Access Key.Hit Display on the Access Key Entry Screen.
The program then gives 3 warning message.Hit Enter on all Warning Messages.
Now you get a list of all the Fileds from the structure you want to enhance to be included in PS Information System.In my case it is PRSP. Here you can see all the standard Fields along with your Custom Fields.
Click on save.It will prompt for a request.
Assign a request and you are done.
Now if you run CN43N you will be able to choose your fileds in the Change Layout Button on the report output Screen.

Need documentation for writing GPIB drivers for RTOS-32 using Borland C 5.51

Greetings,
I need to develop GPIB drivers (using the NI GPIB card) for the RTOS-32 operating system (by On-Time). I am using Borland C 5.51 as the compiler. I am looking for info/examples on writing/porting low level drivers for the GPIB. The examples I have found come with the low levels drivers in an object file which you link in, but nothing on how to write the low level drivers.
Any pointers on what documentation/examples that I should look at would be greatly appreciated.

Need Documentation for WebCenter Spaces "security" ?bean?

Hi, in many of the Webcenter Spaces Page templates and taskflows, I see in the .jspx and .jsff code, EL expressions that have "security.authenticated" and "security.configureSpaceAllowed". I have seen other methods but I am not listing them. I am working on a contract for a customer who wants me to customize some Spaces task flows based on whether or not the user can edit documents. Does anybody have any documentation on this bean or datacontrol so that I can determine if I can use it for the customer's Spaces app? Is there any other way to do this? I need to turn off the "Edit" button in the Wiki document task flow (via the rendered attribute) if the user does not have Edit permissions.

from your query, what I understood that -
you basically want to toggle the edit button of document taskflow for wiki-use.
In my opinion,you are maintaining all the users in couple of groups or roles.
while customizing the document taskflow - you need to customize the edit button properties.
in edit button's rendered attribute -give a value of #{WCSecurityContext.userInAppRole['role']} or #{WCSecurityContext.userInGroup['group']} .From the two option,select the best one which meets your requirement.

I am giving the scenario:
For Indian operation we have two set of books, one is for direct billing to the customers in India and the other is shipping to India and billing from Bangalore/Bombay or other branches. Though India operation is single, still for the operation purpose it should be considered as two entity/two Company. Similarly the service company under the group also has the same kind of operation structure.
How this can be done in SAP........

Need help for a scenario

Hi all,
There are 6 DSOs .Let them be A1,A2,B1,B2,C1,C2.
I need data union of 2 dsos.
Means union of A1,A2 and union of B1,B2 and union of C1,C2.A1
Then I need common records(JOIN) of three sets.All the fields in A1,A2 are not the same.There will be small differences.
Can anyone suggest the possible ways to approach this scenario.

Hi,
You can create 3 DSOs to get the union from two - two DSOs. Meaning your A1 and A2 will feed DSO D1, B1 and B2 will feed DSO D2, similarly C1 and C2 will feed DSO D3. This way you will get Unions in D1, D2 and D3.
Now to get common data (Joins) from these three DSOs, create an InfoSet based on D1, D2 and D3. This will give you intersection of D1, D2, and D3.
