Need driver for Selphy CP400 for Mac OS X 10.9.5

Hello!
I received a Canon Selphy CP400 photo printer brand new and for free from my mother. I have finally gotten around to setting it up, can't use the disc since I don't have an optical drive on my Macbook Pro Retina. The Canon website says there is no driver needed to run the CP400, however when I try to add a printer in my preferences, although it recognizes the printer, it says it does not have the available driver to run it. Cannot find it anywhere! Asia, Europe, and UK all seem to have drivers for this model for a mac computer, but none listed in the USA.

I noticed that you are trying to setup your HP 1510 printer on your Mac OS X 10.9.5, and I am happy to look into this for you!
Since there are multiple HP 1510, I am not sure of which one you are using. If you could please respond with your printer's Product/Model number, that would be a great help. To find your printer's Product/Model Number follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number.

HT3669 ML-2510- Need driver for Mac Mountain Lion operating system...fast!

I recently upgraded my iMac to Mountain Lion (OSX version 10.8.3)
I can no longer use my ML-2510 Samsung B & W printer. Are any drivers going to be available soon? I love the ML-2510 and would be extremely disappointed if I can no longer use it. I have an Epson scanner (Perfection 1250) that updated automatically with no problem.

The ML-2010 problem has been fixed for me Installing the usbtb usb backend for CUPS.
The procedure I followed:
Download and install from the gutenprint page http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-print/files/ the two packages
gutenprint-5.2.9.dmg and
usbtb-1.0.17.uni.dmg.
Install the official Samsung ML-2010 driver.

Make sure that you connect the printer to the computer.
Double-click the downloaded file on your computer. Samsung SPL2 Installer
Double-click Install Program icon.
After the installation is finished, click Quit.* For a USB-connected 1. Connect your printer to the computer via USB 2. Open the Applications folder -> Utilities, and Print Setup Utility.
If you can see the printer from printer list, make it default.
Reset the printing system.

Resetting the printing system in OS X Lion
To use the Reset Printing System function in Lion, follow these steps:
Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
Choose Print & Scan from the View menu.
Hold down the Option key while clicking the "-" (Remove printer) button. If no printers are currently added, hold down the Control key while clicking in the box that appears above the "+" (Add printer) button, then choose Reset printing system… from the contextual menu.
Add a new printer (+), wait 20-30 seconds and the Samsung ML-2010, Type USB Printer (usbtb) appears in the printers list, next to the usual Samsung ML2010, Type USB.
Select the new one and manually choose the Samsung ML-2010 official driver for it.

This is a few years old, but it's the best I can do. I stopped using Windows many years ago.
If you have specific questions, maybe I can answer, but remember I don't have access to any Windows newer than XP. I think setup will be similar, but I don't know if the Windows-side software will be compatible with W7 or W8.

New convert from Windows to MacBook Pro so I apologize if this seems like a dumb question BUT......
Just purchased a WD "My Passport hard drive for Mac." It says on the box that it is formatted HFS+, Journaled for Lion & Mountain Lion as well as compatible with Apple Time Machine. My assumption is that based on this there is no need for me to format this for my Mac since this hard drive was already formatted specifically for a Mac. As you are going to use Time Machine, it will ask you to format the external disk if there are files inside it when you set Time Machine up. Open System Preferences > Time Machine > Select Disk, choose the external disk and the backup will start.
Also, you can create a second partition on the external disk to make clones with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper to have the advantages of Time Machine and the clone

Cannot extract Window driver for MAC

I have windows installed in my MacBookPro. The problem is I do not have Window driver for Mac. This is the reason why :-
I created a partition of Fat32 (that was my mistake). When I tried to load Windows using BootCamp - it did not work. It is asking me to go to Disk Utility anc conver the partition to Mac file system whcih I am unable to do that. To go round -
I have installed XP in the Fat32 partion without using Boot Camp. The problem is getting the Windows driver for Mac beucase I cannot use the Boot Camp.
Are there any way of getting Windows driver for Mac ?

You need a boot loader and that's what BootCamp establishes.

Or you could just reformat the drive to exFat or FAT32 and then you won't need any additional software. Also, you can check app compatibility at www.roaringapps.com. I don't know if this includes any type of drivers.

How to format an external drive for mac AND pc use

i want to format my external drive so i can use it on my mac and on pc's as well. i've gathered that the MS-DOS format is the way to go. my question is this: would this create any problems for my mac then?
can i partion one part for ms-dos and part for macos extended?

MS-DOS format (or FAT32) will be fine for both Mac and PC. However there is a 4GB file size limit with FAT32.
You could use a dual partition, however the HFS+ partition would not be readable by the PC unless you installed the third party MacDrive.

How to Format Toshiba Hard-Drive for Mac with Parallels?

I recently bought a Toshiba Hard-Drive with the following features:
500GB
It is a Canivo Basics 3.0
It is USB 3.0 and 2.0 portable hard drive
It has already been formatted NTFS for Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8
The box says that it can be reformatted for Mac
I have a Macbook Pro with Retina Display that I bought this year in late March/early April.
It runs OS X Mavericks, and Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac.
I would like to reformat it so that I can use it on my laptop both with Windows and Mac OS at the same time. I do not wish to use a partition as I want to access the hard drive through Mac and Windows at the same time on my laptop and I also want to be able to access the Mac things on a Windows computer and vice versa.
I have never formatted a hard drive before, and I would like to use a completely safe software, or no software at all, if it is possible.
I am sorry but I don't have a very high knowledge of this.

It would be easier, using Parallels, just to format the drive for "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)". You can see it both in the Windows/Parallels and the Mac side. Leaving it formatted as NTFS is not going to allow you to access (write to) the drive unless you use third-party software. Formatting it for Mac lets you use it, as I said, on both the Parallels VM and the Mac side.
If you were using Boot Camp, I would advise leaving it formatted as NTFS and purchasing NTFS for Mac to access the drive on both OS's. You can mitigate that by formatting the drive for Mac:
