the computer product number is QC455AV#ABA, usb device is listed as a Blackbeard product number is LR081AV. The ID on the device manager is pci VEN 104C DEV 8241 SUBSYS 2AB5103C REV. USB's not presently working.

What chipset is in it? if you dont know download CPUID (CPU ID) install, it will breakdown your info. or specy from Piriform that will give you all also and go from there. lookat the mobo info for the chipset and get drivers (dont use a driver installer/locator program) go to the mngf and get it there.

It looks like you are facing issues with regards to the USB Ports on the Notebook
Please perform the below shown steps to resolve the issue:
1. Now from within Windows (I assume you have Vista or Windows 7) go into device manager and find the USB hub(s) right click and go into properties/advanced. You will have the option to reset the hub. Do it for all hubs and restart the Unit.
2. Go into the BIOS (F10) and restore to default settings. Reboot.

Note: If this still does not work, then your option is to have the motherboard repaired or replaced or just get a USB external hub so you can have more ports.

Read the last post on how to install it. See if that works for you. I used it on an x32 with 7 ultimate and I'm running an old printer off of it.

I have had a crash on my M100 and have had to rebuild my machine, everything work fine expect the IR Port & SD Card. Can someone tell me were I can get the drivers.

Usually the IR port doesnt need any additionally drivers.
It uses a Windows standard driver and you will not find any Toshiba IrDA drivers for this unit. It doesnt exist.
Use this path to install the IrDA driver;
C:\windows\system32
There you should find all Microsoft standard drivers for common devices

Need driver for C675-S7200 SM Bus Controller

Hello forum I had a nasty back door trojan and I had to reformat my drive, well now that I have done that evrything has come back fine but under my device manager I have one device that states The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) and its for the SM Bus Controller. I didnt see any chipset drivers under the driver down loads on Toshiba for my laptop so any help is much appreciated Thanks

No way to tell what that means. Sounds like maybe you installed a retail version of Windows.
If so, it's best to restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media. Drivers and utilities will have been installed in the proper order. No activation is required.
See the section Restoring from recovery DVDs/media, which begins on p. 76 of the User's Guide.

Need Chipset Driver for USB support

Hi.
This Windows XP-SP3 PC has 4xUSB2 or 2xUSB3 on-board ports, and all have failed. All USB devices are yellow-flagged in device manager.
I have run SFC \SCANNOW and it runs to completion, and I have tried right-clicking on a yellow-flagged USB entry in Device Manager and selecting Update Driver, but that only results in the following dialog:
Cannot Install This Hardware
There was a problem installing this hardware:

An error occurred during the installation of the device:
The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF file was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact your hardware vendor stop

No Universal Serial Bus Controller Found

Just got a 7th gen Nano, worked fine for 2 weeks or so. Then all of the sudden I'm having trouble syncing the thing. Everything else works fine, but it just won't sync. When I plug it in, I'm getting "USB device not recognized" in every port that I try to plug it into.
I tried every stop outlined in the support articles, from resetting, restarting, reinstalling, doing things with device manager, etc, etc. Nothing has worked.
But now, I was just running iTunes diagnostics and I noticed something interesting. iTunes reports:

Does that mean that iTunes is not even recognizing that my USB drives exist? I have tested my USB drives and they work fine with other things (flash drives, keyboard/mouse, etc.), even my Droid phone... just not with the Nano.
Any ideas? Desperate here.

It sounds like your iPod is not showing in iTunes when you connect it and that is what is not allowing you to sync. Please review the attached article to help you troubleshoot this connection.

Where can I find a driver for the SM bus? It is not available thru HP support.

I have a Compaq Presario V5120NR notebook. My operating system crashed and was not recoverable. I ourchased a copy of Windows XP Home Edition and installed it. This is the same operating system that came on the notebook. I downloaded all drivers available thru HP support and installed them. The Device Manager still shows that I have no driver installed for the SM bus. The notebook works, but has a few "quirks", such as the screen saver comes on, but then goes off for no apparent reason. No major problems, just little annoying things like that. Any idea where I can get the driver for the SM bus would be greatly appreciated, :-)

You're very welcome.
Normally the SMBus controller with the chipset in your notebook is installed with the graphics driver.
I figured installing the generic AMD driver might contain the SMBus controller your notebook needs.
So, you can try that, or...
I have one other suggestion. Try this driver and see if it works. You have to manually install it.

Download and run the file. It will extract to C:\SWSetup\sp33927.
Go to the device manager and click on the SMBus controller needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the manual search method and browse to the above folder.
Select the SMBUSati.inf file and see if it installs the smbus controller.
This driver is from a dc5750 desktop with an AMD chipset. Maybe that is a generic ATI controller used by a lot of PC's.

Resource Conflict – Serial Bus Controller & PCI Bus Issues - Cannot Load Windows 7 - PLEASE HELP!

HP Pavilion Notebook, dv9827clAMD Turion 64 x 2, Bios F.34Windows 7, SP 1 (Upgraded from OEM Vista SP2) PROBLEM: This morning my system has a blank illuminated screen. Upon power-on, the system eventually goes to the blank screen. Can get to BIOS functions, but beyond that it will not load Windows 7. System was working with Windows 7 prior to this issue. No recent changes or updates made to this system. Stationary - No physical abuse. Five (5) years old. Upon power-on, the screen gives PF keys, which enable me to enter the BIOS: F1 – System Information > Clock still has correct date and time. F2 – Startup Check -> Both HD and RAM OK F9 – Change Boot Device Order -> Can change device order, but it still won’t boot or respond to a System Recovery DVD in a USB DVD. ( Notebook DVD stopped working before this problem happened.) F10 - Enter Setup F11 – System Recovery – Two choices, but <enter> and arrow keys do not work. (They DO work with other F-selections, but not with F-11 menu) (1) Continue with System Resume (2) Delete Restoration Data and Proceed to System Boot OTHER OBSERVATION: When access PF1, I get the BIOS. If I exit and save with PF10, I get a brief flash of error messages, then it goes back to the PF-selections and eventually to the blank screen.
