Need driver to HP Scanjet 5400C for mac 10.4

hello,
I need this driver, which was available there before:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1259740
but now the link doesn't work anymore.
Can anybody sent it back to me? Thanks a lot for advance !!

The HP web site has support pages and a general search with the word
Mac in there plus your product name & number should generate results.
Here's a result from such a search of: HP Scanjet 5400C drivers...
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=2 8462&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=28455&prodTypeId=15179
HP had a rather large combination download which covered many of their
products a year or so ago; that was an update and replaced original media
CDs that were included with some of their items. Not sure if scanners were
included in that (and it was huge.) Somewhere, I have that download .dmg.
Good luck & happy computing!

What is it you need - Windows installer disc or something else?  Your question is unclear.  Could you be more specific?

Dont buy a Western Digital, get a Hitachi or Seagate (Toshiba is made by Hitachi). These are the most reliable, and the HD used inside Macs.
ALL HD can be made compatible with your MAC (including a WD if you already bought same), ......they just need to be formatted for the Mac platform, format them in Disk Utility as Mac OSX extended journaled.

  • Fusion drive solution to activate Office for Mac 2011

Activating Office 2011  is a known issue for Fusion Drive Macs.
Activation is tied to the drive. According to Microsoft the solid state part of the Fusion Drive generates a new disk id every time the Mac is started. So Mac Office thinks it a new system at each startup and will require activation.
This solution was suggested by Microsoft Support. Please let us know if this works for you.
Follow the steps below to remove the “Thunderbolt bridge”:
    1. Click on the Apple icon and click on “System Preferences”
    2. Click on “Network”
    3. Look for “Thunderbolt Bridge” on the left side.
    4. Highlight the Bridge and click on the “-” sign to remove it.
    5. Restart the computer and enter the Product key for Microsoft Office. Restart again.

I don't normally advocate users re-install Office to fix an issue but in your case I think it's worth a try. The Mavericks update seems to have fixed the issue for most users. I would suggest the complete removal rather than the simple removal of dragging the Office folder in Applications to the trash.

Actually, you can and have downloaded from there, because that message only happens when the download is finished.
The message is entirely normal, and is Apple's way of encouraging the world to use the Mac App Store. That doesn't help you because Acrobat isn't in the Mac App Store - it isn't allowed there.
So, what to do? Change your system settings
Please follow the steps given below to resolve this issue -
System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Allow applications downloaded from > Anywhere

  • Is it wise/ok to use and external hard drive that requires Tuxera NTFS for Mac.dmg to be installed?

I had a white screen issue twice recently and freaked out.  I got everything back but worried now that my imac will crash and I will lose
all my files/pictures.  I purchased an external hard drive, a Toshiba Canvio 3.0 Plus with 1TB to install to backup my files.  I went to
install it and it says that for Mac you must install Tuxera NTFS for Mac.dmg, which says it enables read/write support for the NTFS
partition on your Mac.  Is this a good way to back  of files on a Mac?  If not what is better?  Is there an Apple product for back up?
Please help I am clueless and worried about the dreaded white screen!

Depending on whether you need to use this as a boot drive and what model iMac you have (PPC or Intel) you will need to reformat the drive as a GUID or APS drive with Disk Utility. OSX Tips:  Using Disk Utility: Format,  Erase,  or  Reformat  a  Drive

  • Office files opened from network drive appear to be blank for Mac Users

    Hi all,
We've got five macs in our office running 10.9 with Office 2011, and we have a file server running 10.8 which stores all of our documents.
More often than not, when one of the macs opens a DOC or DOCX from the file server, the file opens up blank.
There aren't invisible fonts, doing a Select All and changing to black doesn't help.
The files appear to be fine when opened in Finder, or with LibreOffice (which my colleagues don't want to use!)
The files open correctly when the files are moved to the local hard drive and opened from there.
The files also open fine via the network on a Windows 8.1 PC with Office 2007.
Has anyone else had this problem, and got a workaround? I've been looking at this for a while but not found anything as of yet.
Appreciate any assistance you can give. :)
    Kind Regards,

    Hi,
Please have a look at this KB articel (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2434675) and try the steps listed in it:
Change the font in the Office for Mac file
Disable the fonts in the Fonts folder
    Check for bad fonts
Create a new Mac user profile

  • Do I need antivirus software with MS Office for Mac on my Macbook Pro?

I am brand new to a Mac and just recently bought a MacBook Pro. I also purchased MS Office 2011 for Mac and have installed it. I've heard you don't need anitvirus for a Mac but I didn't know if having MS Office installed on my Mac made the circumstance any different. Any help if appreciated.

No. Since Office for Mac runs under OS X and not Windows, no antu-virus software is needed.

I need java update or java for mac.  I keep updating software but java is not there, can you please help?

Open up Java preferences located in your Application>Utilities folder. Make sure it's enabled. Mac automatically disables it if not used within a certain amount of time.

  • Still no software for HP Scanjet 4370 for Mac OS X 10.9.3 Mavericks

I recently moved from a Windows PC to Mac and have an HP Scanjet 4370.  Today I found the Mac OS X software and **bleep**-near celebrated.  The HP page says the software is for Mac OS X and Power PC.  After downloading, when I tried to run the install .exe I got an error message saying that Mac no longer supports Power PC.  So I backed out of the install and put away my celebration party supplies.  SOMEBODY go to HP headquarters, go to the programming department and write an installation program that WORKS for the 4370.

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since the Scanjet 4370 is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.
    I hope this helps!

  • Need full bleed PDF in Word for Mac 2011 ...

    Hi,
I created a PC Word 2010 template that bleeds on all 4-sides. The page size of the document is 5.5"X8.5". When trying to "Save As PDF" on the Word for Mac 2011 I get a .125"(1/8") white border on all sides. This
doesn't happen when I issue Save As PDF from the PC.
Can you tell me how to fix this problem?

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

  • Need the full functionality for Scanjet G4050 for Mac OS 10.9

I am Mac user and a few years ago I bought the Scanjet G4050, because the quality and good performance scanning photos and 35mm negative films.
I was pretty satisfied by the results and the perfomance of the HP software. I was able to include all the negative films and the program automaticaly scanned, and separate it in files and with the desired quality.
But, with all the upgrades of Mac OS the features and functionality of the software is becoming worse and worse.
I haven't been able to scan for a while with the OS 10.9. Now the last driver is working and I can scan.
But, why have you HP guys removed the old negative scanning funtionality??? It worked perfectly well and now is a disaster.
Please, tell me you are planning to release a new driver with that functionality again. I expect that support from HP.
    Thanks

Try scanning from your Mac. Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.
Click once on the scanner on the left side, then click on Show Details along the bottom. Along the right side you will see LOTS of options for scanning and saving.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.
