Need external antenna connector for old Nokia 5110...
Hi all, this is a long shot I admit, but doesn anyone know what type of connector (and where to purchase) was used on the old 5110/6110 Nokia phones, it is the external connector located on the rear behind the rubber grommit use for the car kits... I need some of those connectors.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.
Hi omega1
I should be able to help you.
If you want to connect your 6110/6150/7110 to an external connector, we have a adaptor lead to do just this.
Plugs into rear antenna socket with short lead to fme plug - then you can connect your antenna cable to this.
Let me know how many you need.

Cant find signal, need external antena?
Hello,
I just got the airport/bluetooth kit installed into my late 2005 G5 dual processor and am trying to connect to a public hotspot down the street.
The G5 isn't seeing any networks when I scan, but my roomates PC finds 6-8 various networks of varying strengths from around the neighborhood. My G5 isn't the kind with the external T-shaped antena like most have problems with.
Am I doing something wrong, or is the G5 tower's reception just that bad? If so, can I buy a sort of antena booster for my tower? Is there a way we can pick up the signal and re-broadcast it? Cheap?
Thanks for all your help!
GabrielThere is a big difference between the dual core (early 2005) and the dual processor (late 2005). If you have the dual core it should be simple DIY process. The Dual processor, however, has the airport extreme and the bluetooth all as one unit that needs to be installed by a certified technician ($130).
If its the early 2005 dual core here are the instructions:
http://www.info.apple.com/usen/cip/pdf/g5/apec_c.pdf
make sure you plugged the cord all the way in:

And here is what there is to know about the late 2005 dual processor:

Looking for old Nokia ringtones
Hi, I'm looking for some old Nokia ringtones (ah, those days). The Nokia ringtones called Airy, Coconut, and Beach are some ringtones I'm currently looking. If any one can help me I'll be greatful.
Nokia should release their previous ringtones for us, because it's so good. I like the Nokia tune play in harp instrument that can be found in Nokia 1600.Hi, Chiyawa. We appreciate your interest in our products. You can try visiting any Nokia store or authorized Nokia retailers for their availability in your area. Check your local support page at http://www.microsoft.com/en/mobile/support/locations/. All the best and welcome to our community. ;-)

Is external antenna required for Late 2004 Bluetooth to function?
I have a G5 Late 2004 with the blue module installed, but i don't have the external antenna. Is this required for operation, or is my module bad? It shows up in profiler, but won't connect to anything. Also, if it is required, does anyone know a good place to purchase one.
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology, and you're going to shorten that extensively if you don't have an antenna. As you're seeing, it probably won't even work without the antenna.
The external antenna is about $30 from Mac-pro.com.
Are you missing the Airport antenna as well? Both antennas were in the same bag, as I recall. -
External Antenna Adapter for Centro?
I'm looking for an antenna adapter so I can attach an external antenna for my new Centro. I realize that it's brand new, so I haven't seen any specific adapters for it. However, are there other phones (like older Treos) that use the same size?
If I don't find one, I'll have to return it because the signals are terrible at my house without an antenna.

External Antenna Mount for AIR-ANT5160NP-R
I about to embark on a project to create a wireless bridge using a pair of Cisco Aironet 1252's, which will be mounted internally, and a pair of Cisco Aironet 5-GHz MIMO 6-dBi Patch Antenna (AIR-ANT5160NP-R), which will be mounted externally.
Could anyone suggest the best way to mount the antenna? Both will be mounted to steel upper wall of the building (its brick below this). I couldn't find any specific mounting kits.My bad on the metal wall mounting, it was late and I was tired.
Now that I have slept some here is what I am thinking. Why use the MIMO patch antenna? On such a short link you can use an omni stick. Then mount this to a wall mount antenna bracket such as this - http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=wall+mount+antenna+brackets&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=6140961992914474386&ei=NCXlTKHiIYKglAfVw6XjCw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CC8Q8wIwAA#
You would only need one bracket for each location and can secure the bracket to the metal wall with either large self tapping screws or using butterfly bolts.
If you are worried about your signal propogation then make sure your link is encrypted with AES and that your power is at minimum to establish the 54M link.
I would use the AIR-ANT5160V-R antenna. -
Best iPhone 5 external antenna solution for use in a vehicle Australia
I will be doing a fair bit of driving through regional Australia where Telstra (and other telco) reception is very poor to non existent without using some kind of antenna to increase reception range. From my research I have found several solutions, my pick being the smoothtalker cradle and high gain 6.5dB antenna. I would like to know if anyone has experience with this particular solution as well as other solutions other people are using or know of. Thanks in advance.
I have a friend that uses the Wilson Cell Phone Vehicle Signal Booster in poor reception areas. It claims to boost reception by as much as 25 times. Not sure about all that but it certainly helps!

I Need A Better Battery For My Nokia 6300
Because I end up having to charge it ALL time, can anyone direct me to what I need exactly?
thanks
chrisYou can also increase battery life by switching off things like Bluetooth, WLAN and GPS when not in use.
Also, if you have a 3G handset but don't actually use data or video calling (services that require or at least benefit from 3G coverage), then set the phone to use GSM only instead of dual mode. Constantly switching from one system to the other drains your battery.

External antenna for iPhone4 in car to reduce radiation
I want to use my iPhone for navigation and phone in the car but I'm worried about radiation.
A few weeks ago the WHO is warning about healthproblems and brain-cancer based on using cellular phones also.
Is there any external antenna product for the iPhone 4, so the antenna of the iPhone itself will be deactivated after connect (by using inside the car)?as far as I know there is no option for an external antenna
but navigation is gps which mean it don't transmit any signals at all (so it don't create any radiation whatsoever)
only part that create "radiation" is the phone and wifi part as they are 2 way systems which both recieve and transmit data -
Car Cradle for Charging and External Antenna Compatible with Tour
Is there a car kit that allows easy charging and connection to external antenna for the Tour? I had Comfort Cradles by Bury for my last two BlackBerrys, but I just was disappointed to learn that Bury does not have or even plan one for the Tour. Any suggestions? If I had known this before, I probably would have stayed with my 8830. Thanks.
To answer my own query - I just spoke to someone at Smoothtalker and was informed that Smoothtalker will be releasing a charging cradle, with external antenna conttection, for the "Tour" in "about a month."
I still would be interested in hearing from anyone else with any information concerning this.
Thank you,. -
External Antenna for MBP to Boost Receiving Strength
Is there an external antenna available for the MBP that would boost its receiving strength of wireless networks?
Not yet. Give it a bit and then try MacWireless or Dr. Bott - they typically provide that sort of product.

Has anyone had any success with an external antenna on a UMW190?
Although I am getting good service from my UMW190 without an external antenna, I am in a low signal area and would like to have rock solid coverage.
I have tried a 1900Mhz yagi, a blade antenna, an omni, and a grid antenna. I am not seeing any difference in signal strength at all regardless of whether or not an antenna is connected and which way it is pointed. I have also tried two different pigtails form two different sources, and even borrowed a second UMW190 and tried it, all with no success. I know exactly where the tower serving my house is located, but I did try each of the directional antennas in a full 360 degree circle, stopping every few degrees to see if the RSSI improved. I tried both polarities too, although I understand it should be vertical.
When I contacted Verizon customer support they had very little information about it. I contacted Pantech, and they told me that support for this device is now handled by UTstarcom. UTStarcom told me that support for this device is now handled by Personal Communication Devices. When I contacted them the response was (and I quote) "We don't have any information on any external antenna support of our devices".
So I throw myself on the mercy of the Gurus here in the forum.
Am I missing something obvious? Is there a command that "activates" the external antenna connector? Does the connector even have anything connected to it inside the modem?
Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!
-RickUsually the external antenna works best where service is obstructed by certain materials and the external antenna is placed in a different area . If the signal is steady for the external antenna and the UMW190 in the area where you are using the devices, that would be the general signal strength of that area.

endThe 1310's either have an external antenna connector or an integrated antenna. They don't have both.
The part number AIR-BR1310G-x-K9-R requires and external antenna. AIR-BR1310G-x-K9 has the integrated antenna. -
XMII Connector for SQL Analytics (OLAP Database Provided by MS SQL)
Hi,
I need to create connector for SQL Analytics server in xMII. I have never created it before.
Please provide me some information on this. i have followed steps given for the regular OLAP connector but no Data is retrived from the server not even the meta data.
Regards,
Prashant Kiran APrashant,
The MSOLAP connection properties are defined by the MSOLAP interface, a simple Google search will direct you to the values:
As for the logs, depends on your version...
In 11.5 they are under the admin menu -> System Administration -> General Log
In v12 they are the NetWeaver logs (Filter: Application = xmii)
Hope this helps.
Sam
