Need file name help

I have several muse files for the same site, I need to find out the name of the file that is currently live that I exported through the ftp.  Also, how can I delete the other files that I am not using for this sight. Thanks in advance.

Hey Brad, thanks for the quick response. I understand how to do that, however I made changes to the other files, but I did not export those. I need to find out the file name of the last .muse file that was exported to my ftp.  So, is there a way to know the which muse file is currently exported. I know it may sound confusing, and trust me it was at 3 am this morning.
Thanks!

  • Using Automator to Find Date in file name--Help!

    Hey guys,
    I have this automator question.
    Daily I record a radio show. Due to cpu limitations I cannot record it right to AAC. (I use the radio shark) So I record it to aiff format. Radio shark adds in the current date to the file name so I know what date the show is from. What I need to know is if I can get an Automator action to find a file in the Radioshark folder with "Radioshow" and the Current Date in the filename.
    How can I have automator use the current date to search for the file.
    I need the date variable included because sometimes my automator app doesn't delete the old file, so at times the radio shark folder could contain numerous "RadioShow" files.
    Any help appreciated.
    17inch Imac 800Mhz/12 inch PB   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hey thanks. That did work. A new question. It takes about 60 minutes to import the file. Once the file is imported I would like automator to change the Track Info and put it into a specific playlist.
    Most of the time the file imports but does not finish the actions in automator (the track info and moving it to the playlist). I am assuming that it is "timing out" during the import process. Is there a way to pause the automator actions for 60 minutes after it begins the import process and then completed the subsequent actions?
    Any help appreciated!

  • Need File name in PSE9

    I need to develop some macros to use with PSE9, but for me to do that, I need to retrieve the COMPLETE file name (including path) from PSE9 of the current edited file.
    Does PSE keep this info somewhere where I can get it?

    Actually I mean an external Macro Engine.
    Many programs assign internal variables to the file they are working with, like %filename% or something like that.
    I need to know if PSE9 does such a thing, or if there is any keyboard shortcut that gets me this information.
    Save and Save As will display the current edited file, but NOT the full PATH. I need the full path!

  • Web Gallery - need file name on thumbnail and large image

    I think I have tried all the CS3 templates, but haven't found what our client is requesting. Is there a template that shows the file name on both the thumbnail and large image, and will make large images of 600-800 pixels (long dimension)?
    Thanks in advance,
    Dan Clark

    Thanks for your reply Nini. Yes, I had gone through all the presets and options. Was hoping I might have missed something, or that someone knew a trick/workaround. We've been using Table-Minimal for years, which is my overall favorite. I like to ability to make a large image, but it can't do what the client is requesting. They've made a list of selects from some very large galleries (200-300 shots each), and now want to jump directly to the shots they've previously chosen, in order to show their coworkers. I've also considered "Add Numeric Links", but I find that either confuses people, or they give me that number, instead of the file name/number, which makes a lot of extra work for us.

  • ITunesHelper.Resources is not a valid short file name - help!

    Just purchased a new PC - running Vista, itunes loaded 4 days ago and worked but since yesterday wont run, and I cant uninstall it - always comes up with 'iTunesHelper.Resources is not a valid short file name' cant get into itunes at all to do anything...any suggestions!

    +But still cannot "uninstall" from the control panel.+
    Okay. In that case, let's try using the Windows Installer CleanUp utility to remove the installation configuration information.
    download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility:
    Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
    Now launch Windows Installer CleanUp ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"), find any iTunes entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, select those iTunes entries, and click “remove”.
    Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC, and try another install.
    If it doesn't go through, let us know what error message you get this time. (Fot example, is it now saying *Invalid drive* J?)

  • Scrambled Music and Unknown file names Help!!!!

    I have two problems and hopefully someone can help me. The first problem I have is some of my songs are scrambled. For example, I'll put on song 1 and it will play, then all of a sudden in the middle of song 1, song 2 will cut in and sometimes song 3 or 4. When I do catch the songs that are scrambled I delete them but I'm not able to catch them upfront until the song actually starts playing. If anyone could help me this would really be appreciated. I've tried a few programs but they haven't really worked or it costs to do it. I will pay to fix the problem but I want the program to actually work. BTW this all started a few years ago when I had a Zune and it deleted all my music and I had to search for the music to retrieve what I could. My itunes library hasn't been right every since.
    2nd problem: My computer caught a virus a few months back and my entire operating system was deleted. Erased! Finito! I am lucky enough to know a good computer tech and they were able to restore my computer and give me a new operating system currently Windows 7 Ultimate. Anyway, since that I was able to retrieve my music library in Itunes however, some song titles are 4 letters. It's way too much for me to individually change them. For example, song 1 title is now "JHGN". So if anyone could help me with this problem, this would also be helpful.
    also want to mention not all my music was downloaded from Itunes. Both of these problems are very frustrating and driving me crazy. I appreciate any help.

    I am trying to import 127 drum samples to a single key using the option shown here. The option says "Map to key dropped on and read velocity range from file name". I can find no documentation in the manuals on how to do this. What is the syntax required in the file name to make this work? I need to do several of these imports. Hi
    Not a direct answer to your question, but if you are doing a lot of sample mapping etc, you may want to check out Redmatica's KeyMap Pro or the simpler Keymap 1:

  • Need help adding a default file name in a file chooser of save dialog type

    I need to create a file chooser with save dialog type, how can I add a highlighted default file name into the File Name textfield? As in Microsoft Word, when you want to save a document, a default file name Doc1.doc will appear in the File name text field of the file chooser even when you change to other directories.

    For JRE 1.4.0 you can use this fix:
    public class FileChooserFix implements PropertyChangeListener {
      private String fileName;
       * @see PropertyChangeListener
      public void propertyChange(PropertyChangeEvent ev) {
        JFileChooser chooser = (JFileChooser)ev.getSource();
        if (JFileChooser.FILES_ONLY == chooser.getFileSelectionMode()) {
          if (JFileChooser.SELECTED_FILE_CHANGED_PROPERTY.equals(ev.getPropertyName())) {
            File selectedFile = (File)ev.getNewValue();
            if (selectedFile != null) {
              // remember fileName of selected file
              fileName = selectedFile.getName();
          if (fileName != null &&
              JFileChooser.DIRECTORY_CHANGED_PROPERTY.equals(ev.getPropertyName())) {
            // reset selected file
            File directory = (File)ev.getNewValue();
            chooser.setSelectedFile(new File(directory, fileName));
       * Convenience method to create a fixed file chooser.
       * @return      fixed file chooser
      public static JFileChooser create() {
        JFileChooser chooser = new JFileChooser();
        chooser.addPropertyChangeListener(new FileChooserFix());
        return chooser;

    If we set the file name as such, the attachment in the email contains garbled filename
    Can you pl let me know how to resolve this?
    We should use the file name as attachment name and this will have say special characters. The receiver who gets the mail should get with the correct attachment name
    One important point.. the attachments are opened from MS outlook.

    Read the FAQ carefully. You don't need to call encodeText unless you're using a really
    old version of JavaMail.
    And, it depends on whether the mail reader you're using is handling encoded parameters
    according to the (new) MIME standard, or according to the (old) non-standard hack.
    Sadly, without knowing what mail reader the recipient is using, it's impossible to use
    encoded filenames that will work everywhere.

  • Need help changing the setting to preview entire file names

    Using Leopard, I would like to to be able to read the entire name of a file.
    For example, my files might say (File 2.....609). What the file is named is File 2 Graphs 6209. How can I set up Leopard to allow me to read the entire file, so I don't have to guess the file?

    Ah! I tend to avoid using column view for folders containing items with long names, because it increases the amount of horizontal scrolling needed to see everything, & because I'm usually interested in seeing & sorting items by the non-name columns available in list view.
    FWIW, I tried the column view drag handle double click tip on one of the folders containing some of my extra long named items & it does expand to show the entire name, but I don't care for the result: the Finder window expands horizontally so much that it won't all fit within even a 24" widescreen display! So not only do I have to scroll the window's content horizontally to see everything, I have to move the window partially offscreen to do so. That is too much of a chore to make this a very good alternative for long path names.
    It occurs to me that there might be a more elegant, subtle, & "it just works" Apple-like solution possible: instead of just abbreviating the displayed item name by replacing enough of the middle characters of the name with an ellipsis to make it fit, it would be cool if this were adaptive & tried first to abbreviate the non-unique parts of the name, relative to all the items in the column. So if say 3 files in a view contained the same 12 character sequence, that sequence would appear with the same abbreviation in each file, more frequently preserving the display of the unique parts of each file name.
    Does this make sense?

  • Neophyte needs help avoiding file name conflicts!

    My companion and I share a single computer with a single copy of PSE7.  We use nearly identical cameras (Fuji FinePix E series 510 and 550).  Both cameras use the same system for assigning file names.  As a consequence when we up load from our respective cards and the names are the same for different photos only the first in goes into the organizer.  We have just discovered the problem.  I'm embarrassed to admit the discovery comes almost four and one half years late.  I had tried to create stand-by copies to CD but the same problem may exist there.
    Can I massage the file names to distinguish "his from hers".  If so at what point.  What can I do about making the same discrimination with the photos already on the hard drive?  Perhaps Bob... as opposed to Katie...?
    Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.  I'm now sitting on two 1G cards for my camera and one for hers trying to determine how to handle the problem.
    Thanks,
    ibbobby

    Hi,
    Use APD to download photos from your cameras, and while downloading specify the Rename Files option (Probably Bob_<ShotDate>).
    This will create unique file names and all the files will then get imported into Organizer.
    Alternatively, if you have only jpeg files, you can stamp the file with Author/Copyright metadata in APD. When this value is provided, all the files with get imported in Organizer.
    Thanks/Tarun
