SOAP allows you to call webservices from XI and also expose your Interface as a webserivce. This way, you leverage and use all advantages of webservices.!
Real Time scenarios invove cases when you have a vendor who have exposed / provide a set of webservices which your organization would like to use.

  • Why does it say I do not have permission to save files in the location where screen shots are stored?

everytime i try to take a screen shot this appeares

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -Rh $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Step 1 should give you usable permissions in your home folder. This step will restore special attributes set by OS X on some user folders to protect them from unintended deletion or renaming. You can skip this step if you don't consider that protection to be necessary, and if everything is working as expected after step 1.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not  going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Help Please! Serious Issues with Placing Screen Shots.

    Hi,
I'm a long time browser of these forums but this is my first post. I'm pulling my hair out. I've spent hours on this and have a looming deadline. I've a lot of experience in PS and AI but have only started using ID recently. I've searched the forums and web in general, I've found people with similar or the same problems (both on Mac and Windows) but can't find a solution anywhere. I really think there's got to be a simple solution but I can't figure it out.
    I'm using ID CS6 on Mac OS X 10.7.5
I've created several mutilpage PDFs (not for print, for screen viewing) in ID using vector graphics from AI without any issue. However, this time I'm trying to create a multipage PDF that will be a tutorial for GarageBand that requires dozens of edited screen shots. When I place the cropped screen shots they come into ID really badly pixelated. I've tried bring them in as several different file types, PNG, BMP, TIFF, JPEG, but all with the same result. I've tried scaling them in different ways and exporting the PDF in different ways but the screen shots still look terrible.
I have the document set up for digital publishing and it's A4 Landscape. I've changed the display performance to High Quality Display but this shouldn't really matter because the exported PDF still has horrible looking screen shots.
Sadly...when I bring the same screen shots into Microsoft Word Mac they look absolutely perfect. I really, REALLY don't want to be forced to use Word to create a tutorial, or anything for that matter.
    Can anybody help? Please!
    Thanks in advance.
    Colm

It seems ludacris and defeats the purpose of the software for me since I hoped to use it mainly for tutorials containing screenshots.
The user interface you are capturing is designed to the monitor pixel grid and captures degrade if you sample them up or down. You can see the resampling problem if you use OSX's zoom feature–zoom in and the interface get's larger but it also blurs.
And extreme example would be a checkerboard drawn at 10 pixels per inch. Increasing the resolution to 300ppi doesn't add any information and degrades the checkerboard's appearance:
When you place a screen capture in ID and scale it, there's no resampling—the capture is resized and the pixels are scaled larger or smaller. If you print the capture it will look fine because a hi-res printer can accurately draw the different scaled resolutions.
When you export to PDF there's going to be a problem displaying the captures in Acrobat because there would only be one zoom level where the original interface pixels display unchanged. It's similar to Photoshop where the screen capture looks best at 100% where the image to monitor ratio is 1:1, but in Acrobat the 1:1 ratio might be any zoom percentage depending on how the capture was resized in ID.

  • Need  file adapter polling with read operation to be triggered by a BPEL without using synchronous read

    The scenario is:-
Web Service Client -->input-->BPEL-->if input valid-->trigger file adapter with read operation--> receive file
i am not able to stop the polling until it is required to trigger the polling.
As soon as i deploy the composite the file adapter starts polling without waiting for input.
Since i am using two receive activities, the second one which is suppose to receive file from file adapter is always showing pending state. (asynchronous callback)

    Hi there,
IMHO the traditional read is used only as inbound operation, that means
that it starts polling the input folder as soon as the composite gets
deployed - which is the same you are experiencing.
In your case you need an outbound operation that needs to be invoked at
a certain moment. I don't know what are the reasons not to use sync
read, but this is the only outbound read operation supported by the
adapter. If you can not use the sync read, then you would have to design
some custom solution where you call a web service or EJB for instance
    that reads the desired files.
Another option I can think of, though have not use personally is using
the adapters programatically in Java - take a look at this blog post as
it seems related to this topic -
    https://technology.amis.nl/2012/01/22/using-the-oracle-weblogic-technology-adapters-with-custom-java-message-driven-bean-mdb-triggered-by-file-adapter-part-of-the-story/.
    Hope this helps,
    A.

  • "screen shot can't be saved" and other permissions issues

After having my iMac at the Apple Store for four days solving a problem with "quit unexpectedly" issues with all Apple built-in Apps on OS X Yosemite, I got the machine back with those problems solved.  It involved re-installing OS X and restore files from backup.  I thought all was well; the Genius Bar dude showed me that it's fixed. He said it took so long because of bizarre permissions issues he'd never seen before.
Now that I've lugged this 40lb machine back home (after verifying the fixes in the store) I now find that several (other) functions don't work.  When I try to do a screenshot, I get this message:"Your screen shot can't be saved.  You don't have permission to save this file in the location where screen shots are stored."  Message could have been more helpful; the "location" is the desktop.  Pretty descriptive, though.  Seems I can't save anything to the desktop.
I tried creatng a folder on the desktop.  Got this message: "Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this".  Type password and new folder appears.  Drag the new folder to the trash, get same message..
I tried copying a file from a network drive to the desktop. I get this dialog: "Modifying Desktop requires and administrator name and password.  I clicked "authenticate" and after a 3 minute delay (with "Preparing.." ) I get this dialog; "Finder wants to make changes.  Type your password to allow this".  I type the password and the file appeared on the desktop.  Before the work at the Apple Store, this never happened.  BTW I have only one user account and it's marked "Allow user to administer this computer".  Thinking something might be goofy with the pw, I changed it (took 3 minutes to do, oddly) and rebooted. No joy. Same thing happens when I try to drag something from the desktop to the trash.  Long time "moving" message followed by having to provide and admin pw.
I tried to save a Safari attachment to the Downloads folder and got this message: "Safari could not download the file xxxxx because there is not enough free disk space".  Since I have more than 600GB of available space, I think the message is wrong and that it's really a permission issue with the Downloads folder.
Tried to reset the password again.  Click to unlock the Users & Groups panel, get "System Preferences is trying to unlock Users & Groups preferences.  Type your password to allow this".
All this tells me that somehow Yosemite is in "nag" mode (reminiscent of Windows Vista.
    Any ideas?

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select

  • Creating a screen shot field in FormsCentral

Can anyone tell me how I might create a field in my form for the form filler to insert a screen shot?  I see there is a photo option, but I need THEM to paste in their screen shot.

FormsCentral was originaly created to create online form. Attachments are supposed with online form.
We added the ability to save your form as a PDF but unfortunately the way that Acrobat and Reader submit attachments is not compatible with the FormsCentral service.
If you want to manage your data collection yourself you can create a PDF using FormsCentral (without a submit button) and then add attachment fields to the PDF in Acrobat. You will also need to add a Submit button to your form in Acrobat. You can set it up to submit the PDF to your email address including attachments. For help with Acrobat Forms you can look at the Acrobat form forum
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/forms
To edit a PDF, created in FormsCentral, in Acrobat you might want to look at this post :

  • IPhoto won't export cropped iPad and iPhone screen shots

I started a thread for this thinking it was affecting my whole iPhoto library, when I export a cropped image I get the original. I thought I'd solved it by rebuilding my library, then realized the issue was only manifesting with iPad screen shots. I tested it on iPhone screen shots too, same issue. Photos taken with any camera, even the iPad camera are fine, I can crop and export those. Any iOS screen shot refuses to export a cropped version. I tried all the different choices for "kind" in "export."
Is this a new feature? You have to be sure to crop a screen shot on the iPad or iPhone before you sync to iPhoto?
    Barbara
Mac mini 2011, Mavericks 10.9.2, iPhoto 9.5.1, iPad Air iOS 7.0.6, iPhone 5S iOS 7.0.6

What format is the external drive the Library sits on?
Rather than trying to move libraries try repair the existing one:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Screen shot saving

How do I fix the following screen shot error message. "You don’t have permission to save files in the location where screen shots are stored."I just want to save screen shots on the desktop. it was working last week.

Did you change the location from the default of Desktop?
Remove the screen capture plist (com.apple.screencapture.plist) in your Preferences directory and it should revert to the defaults for screen capture.
Note, you can change the screen capture destination with utilities like OnyX and Tinkertool.  Or directly from the terminal too.

  • Screen shots

    Hi ,
We are trying to implement EP 7.0 based on NW 2004 s . Does anybody have a document with some screen shots ( step by step ) out their own experience .
    I really appreciate this help
    Thanks
    J

    Hi ,
Thanks for your reply . We are planning to install EP 7.0 on WAS 6.0 for NW04s SR1( this is basically for ESS 1.0 , MSS 1.0 , BP for learning solution 1.0 based on mySAPERP 2005 ( ECC 6.0 ) backend . We also wanted to have some BI java capabilities .Since the NW04s os based on Usage types , I am confused to go with what kind of usage types we wanted ( Because I saw one SDN thread saying that they have end up in installing two portals - one for the BI and another one for eg :the scenario ' Running an Enterprise Portal '.
We are planning for both central instance + Dialog instance . So any installation screen shots for installing the central instance and dialog instance will help .
You can also send it to <b>[email protected]</b>
    Thanks

    Hi all,
I am having 20 fields in the grid.
but few fields are displaying in the grid and the scroll bar is existing to display other fields
where as i need all the fields in on screen shot.
    let me know it .

    Hi ,
One option would be to reduce the width of the fields in the catalog or manually after the data is displayed.

their original "full" size. I have tried changing their size before
importing in both paint and word, tried resizing them one they are
in Robohelp which distorts the text...............any tips or
    tricks?

HI cjohns30 and welcome to our community
Never ever even think about resizing an image directly inside
the RoboHelp editor! You will inevitably end up with poor results.
