Need flash video jukebox

I would really like some help finding a flash video jukebox. Would like a player with either a list on the side or images and descriptions on the side so that viewers can pick which video they want to watch. I have about 5-10 movies on my site, in Flash, that I want viewers to be able to see in whatever order they choose, they may decide to only view one or two then move on. I originally loaded all of the flash videos and their respective players on to one page, but the downlaod time was horrible. And I would like something slicker that a page full of players.
Any help would be appreciated. If I get what I want I would be happy to post it somewhere for others to download.
Steve

No. This page has some that might work. http://3d2f.com/tags/jukebox/flash/. Jalbum supposedly has a template like a flash slide grid that will handle videos.
The only other suggestion I can think of is to create an iPhoto album with your videos and use that to create a MobileMe gallery containing your videos. That would very easy to do and could be embedded into an iWeb page like in this demo page: MobileMe Galleries. The example is set to go directly to the mosaic mode. If you click on the Grid button at the bottom you'll see what it would look like. Just think of each photo as a video.
If you have other MMe galleries that you don't want connected to the video one just use the Advanced Settings pane to isolate the gallery from the others.

    Hi there, I'm working on a website and am in need of some

    I'm looking to be able to use PHP to dynamically generate

  • Help Suggestions Needed: Flash Video VS. Animated .Gif

    Hi everyone,
    My goal is to post an image on my blog that continuously plays different image frames. I'm new to using other programs in the Adobe Suite other than Photoshop, so I started to achieve my goal by making an animated .gif
    The quality of the animated .gif anyway you try to adjust it ends up not being the best quality, so I thought I would try making a Flash Video. I was successful at making my image frames into a QuickTime Video, but this is not really exactly what I wanted. I was hoping someone might know of a way to achieve the animated .gif concept of continuously playing images, but with much higher quality??! At this point, any and all suggestions would be very much appreciated
    Thank you

    Hi Howard,
    Yes, your wording is perfect! That's exactly what I'm trying to do and still be able to use it on blogger.com
    Working with an Animated .Gif I'm not getting the quality I want, but other than that it would work perfect.  As a video with Flash the images don't
    continue to loop, but start and stop as a video should with play options. So, this is even more of a stretch from what I originally was trying to
    accomplish.

  • Newbie needs flash video advice please

    I'm creating my first flash video and I have a couple of
    questions.
    We filmed an interview with some people which we'd like to
    put on both a
    DVD and on the web. I've edited the film in iMovie as that's
    all I have
    available and added some title screens between clips.
    I have no problem exporting the movie and saving it as a .flv
    file for
    the web version. However as I also want to reduce the
    dimensions of the
    movie to be only about 320px wide and when I do so, the title
    font looks
    jaggedy and quite rubbish, because it's been shrunk.
    1. Is there a way in flash that I could replace these titles
    so that
    this doesn't happen?
    2. On a slightly different note, I'd like to be able to
    display the
    company logo in the main video area whilst the movie is not
    playing.
    I.e. Before the user presses play and when they press stop.
    I'm new to
    flash as a whole, so am not sure if this is possible or how I
    can do it.
    Any suggestions would be gratefully received!
    thanks

    > 1. Is there a way in flash that I could replace these
    titles so that
    > this doesn't happen?
    You could, of course, try to overlay the video (with titles
    stripped)
    with Flash made title texts, but I would advise against this.
    Scaling bitmaps (and a video is nothing more than a series of
    bitmaps)
    is never a good idea, so work with footage that has the final
    resolution
    so that no scaling is necessary.
    Adding the titles to it would be easy with Adobe
    AfterEffects.
    Then, convert the final video into an FLV file and use AS to
    make it
    play. The help file is really, well, helpful in this area
    (FLV playback).

    Just put the logo into the video, but only in the first
    frame. In Flash
    you pause the video playback right there. Easy, but maybe not
    so easy
    for beginners. Take a look at Lee's great video tutorials:

  • Video Jukebox / Player - Proxus?

    Hello all!
    I was surprised to not have been able to find much on this.
    I'm a newbie with flash and am working on a page (Dreamweaver) that
    I want to include a flash video jukebox. Basically a list of videos
    the user can choose from.
    I found
    http://www.proxus.com/components/
    that seems to have what I'm looking for but wasn't sure if anyone
    had any experience with it. Any other players you would recommend?
    I probably want something that's been built to work with

  • Need flash player 8 and java script enabled to play videos on ipad, need help please.

    need flash player 8 and java script enabled on my ipad in order to view videos.  please help.

    iPads do not directly support Flash.
    You can look for Flash Browsers in the App store for some options to try. Support is not 100%, but maybe one may work for you.  Browsers like Puffin, Skyfire, Photon etc...
    IPads do fully support JavaScript.  Just make sure its turned on under Settings->Safari->Advanced->JavaScript.
    If you require Java, which is completely different to JavaScript, again there are some browsers in the App store that support it.  Search for "Java browsers" in the store.

  • Flash Video Player Need Help

    Hello everyone I am hoping someone here can help me.  I am going to school and I have an action scripting class.  For my final project we have to make a flash video player with a custom skin to upload to our websites. We did something similar to this with our first project which we made a player where the movies where embedded in the file itself but this is supposed to be a youtube like flash player where we can call in the files from another source.
      We kind of got pressed for time and were not able to go into detail with this project so the teacher gave us the code and I put it in exactly how it should be but im pretty sure i have something misplaced or I am missing a step. I get 8 different errors when I go to test the movie. and nothing works.  Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong or can you point me in the direction of a tutorial on this  as I have been searching for tutorials on this with no luck.
    Here is my Action Script 3.0 CODE:
    import fl.video.FLVPlayback;
    import fl.controls.List;
    var vid:FLVPlayback = new FLVPlayback();
    vid.source= "fashion.flv";
    addChild(vid);
    vid.skin="SkinOverPlayStopSeekMuteVol.swf";
    vid.x=100;
    vid.y=300;
    vid.skinAutoHide="true";
    vid.width=500;
    vid.height=280;
    var vidList:List = new List();
    vidList.x= vid.x+10;
    vidList.y= 200;
    vidList.width=200;
    vidList.height=100;
    vidList.addItem({label:"Bathroom Behavior",data: "bathroom.flv"});
    vidList.addItem({label:"Chase Scene",data: "chase.flv"});
    vidList.addItem({label:"VMCAD Fashion Design Commercial",data: "fashion.flv"});
    addChild(vidList);
    vidList.addEventListener(Event.CHANGE,playVid);
    function playVid(e:Event):void{
    vid.source=e.target.selectedItem.data;
    Here is a screenshot of the errors I am receiving.
    Please help me
    thanks

    I don't know if what you posted is all that is in that as file, but you need to declare a package, then call the import statements, then declare the class name.  Like this:
    package {
         import flash.display.Sprite;
         import flash.events.Event;
         import fl.video.FLVPlayback;
         import fl.controls.List;
         public class Main extends Sprite {
              public function Main() {
                   var vid:FLVPlayback = new FLVPlayback();
                   vid.source= "fashion.flv";
                   addChild(vid);
                   vid.skin="SkinOverPlayStopSeekMuteVol.swf";
                   vid.x=100;
                   vid.y=300;
                   vid.skinAutoHide="true";
                   vid.width=500;
                   vid.height=280;
                   var vidList:List = new List();
                   vidList.x= vid.x+10;
                   vidList.y= 200;
                   vidList.width=200;
                   vidList.height=100;
                   vidList.addItem({label:"Bathroom Behavior",data: "bathroom.flv"});
                   vidList.addItem({label:"Chase Scene",data: "chase.flv"});
                   vidList.addItem({label:"VMCAD Fashion Design Commercial",data: "fashion.flv"});
                   addChild(vidList);
                   vidList.addEventListener(Event.CHANGE,playVid);
              function playVid(e:Event):void{
                   vid.source=e.target.selectedItem.data;
    Then click on your stage in Flash, then open the properties window, and fill the Class text field with:   Main
    Make sure the as file is saved in the same folder as the flv.

  • Need Help with Flash Video

    Hi, I have a template set up for a site with editable regions
    for text. I have been trying to insert Flash Video Content, and
    once I complete entering it in the popup window with settings, etc.
    I get the following message "Making this change would required
    changing code that is locked by a template or translator. The
    change will be discarded." When I hit ok it disappears and the
    video and code associated are nowhere on my page. What am I doing
    wrong? Is there a setting to change in CSS templates to allow one
    to insert Flash video?
    Thanks for any help!

    Also, you need to DISABLE the Flash detection when you insert
    the video.
    This is to prevent the insertion process from trying to write
    that detection
    call into the body tag of the child page, which is locked.

    Dreamweaver does not reflect full functionality, you need to
    upload your stuff to
    server or test in browser. Best way to make sure things
    works.
    If your HTML refer to the SWF in some directory, make sure
    you have correct paths
    to the player skin (the video controls).

  • Need advice on making a simple Flash video file. Trying to accomplish two things.

    I have some video files (.avi) that I am trying to convert to a Flash video format. I am trying to export it to a Flash player to go into a Powerpoint file. With this, I am trying to accomplish two goals:
    1. To have the short clip (15sec, 30fps) endlessly loop, like an animated .gif.
    2. To allow the user to click on the video player and drag left/right to ff/rew.
    The video itself is a turntable animation. One of our products is making a complete 360degree turn. By allowing the user to grab and drag, it will simulate them rotating the model.
    So far, I have already accomplished Goal 1. I made a new Actionscript 3 file, imported video (embed flv in swf and play in timeline), and then made the video loop on the timeline. This seems to export properly, and the video loops as needed. The only thing I can't figure out is how to make the video "interactive" and let the user drag left/right.
    For context, I have never used Flash before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This will come down to essentially moving the playhead of Flash based on the movement of the mouse. It's certainly not going to be smooth however, you'd need a timer to be responsible for moving your playhead and reversing spatial compression is very CPU intensive (moving backwards on the timeline). I'd recommend having a forward and backward version of the video so you could flip between them but if you're new to flash you're already in way above your head.
    Add a new layer and try adding this example script (or Download Source example here, saved to CS5):
    import flash.utils.Timer;
    import flash.events.TimerEvent;
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    // make sure we don't trip this frame twice
    if (!stage.hasEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN))
              // stop playhead
              stop();
              // set state (forwards? backwards?)
              var movingForward:Boolean = true;
              var curFrame:int = 1;
              var mouseStartX:int; // used later to determine drag
              // detect mouse click and drag left or right
              stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, onMouseF);
              stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onMouseF);
              // create new timer to control playhead, start it
              var phTimer:Timer = new Timer(33,0);
              phTimer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, movePlayheadF);
              phTimer.start();
              // function to control playhead
              function movePlayheadF(e:TimerEvent):void
                        curFrame += movingForward ? 1 : -1;
                        // validate frame (60 total frames)
                        if (curFrame > this.totalFrames) curFrame = 2;
                        else if (curFrame < 1) curFrame = this.totalFrames;
                        // goto the next frame
                        this.gotoAndStop(curFrame);
              // function that controls the direction variable
              function onMouseF(e:MouseEvent):void
                        if (e.type == MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN)
                                  // user started touching, record start spot
                                  mouseStartX = int(stage.mouseX);
                        else if (e.type == MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP)
                                  // user let mouse go, determine direction change (swipe stype)
                                  if (stage.mouseX > mouseStartX)
                                            // swiped right, move forwards
                                            movingForward = true;
                                            trace('Moving forward now');
                                  else if (stage.mouseX < mouseStartX)
                                            // swiped left, move backwards
                                            movingForward = false;
                                            trace('Moving backwards now');
    This is pretty simple. In the example source link above an object on the timeline (nice ugly red circle) moves right over 60 frames and then left over 60 frames (120 total). Consider that your movie.
    A timer ticks at a speed of 33ms (30fps). This is where it isn't necessarily going to be too smooth with video. If you increase it to 60FPS then decrease the timer by half (16.5ms), season to taste. Each time the timer goes off the playhead is moved, either forwards or backwards.
    To know if it should go forward or backwards a simple variable (movingForward) keeps track of the last 'swipe'. The swipe is simply captured when a user touches the screen (mouse/finger), moves in a direction and then lets up. If they moved to the left the direction will be reverse. If they moved to the right it will move forward. This doesn't take into consideration any more than that logic, but illustrates how you can watch the mouse for movement and "do something" based on it.
    A very simple validatior in the timer event function checks to see if the next frame (in either direction) is valid and if it's not, it corrects it so it stays within your videos timeline length.
    Note there is a MOUSE_MOVE event you can try to hook to which can be used to literally let the user drag the video forwards and backwards the amount they drag their finger/cursor. Also if this is some kind of circular surface like a record spinning, the direction the user moves the mouse based on where they touch the record would change which direction they expect it to move. Etc etc..
    That should get your feet wet in how much you need to consider for your project.
