Need help... Bootcamp not working as it should. I'm lost???

I erased my HDD using Disk Utilities, then did a clean install of Mac OSX 10.6. Tried to run Bootcamp to no avail... only got the following error message;
"The startup disk cannot be partioned or restored to a single partition". When I erased the disk I set it to be a single Mac OS Extended (journaled) volume, and have verified that it is in fact a 160GB, single volume partition using Disk Utilities "INFO" button. Any sugestions???

It is fragmented.
Restore from backup usuaily works. But as soon as you run installers, it throws files all over the partition.
What it should say is more like "defrag and consolidate free space until it is contiguous, and no files lockked in place or at the end of the partition."
Shrink and expand.
Repair.
Erase Free Space
Use of defrag programs is not supported and no 100% guarantee oddly enough.
Use of defrag from CD or another hard drive works better.
Always have backup first and foremost.
Shrink tends to work. Try to shrink as large or more than you need.
Be sure to leave 25% or more on the Mac partition when done too, for it to work.

ok so I've just updated my torch 9800 software and with it all of the apps, but there's the problem that my BBM wont work on wifi. why is that? Need help with not working timer Hp Display Assistant

Hello i got monitor LA 2306v and when i want use "timer" option in Hp Display Assistant it doesn't work "sheduler" options fork perfect but "timer" one at all :/ Using Windows Vista home premium and got newest version of Hp Display Assistant.

Is the computer's video card on the supported/compatible list? If the video card does not support the feature, then the program won't work.
Let me know if the computer's graphics card is on the list.
Also, report what graphics card the system is using.

Need help wireless not working

Hello all, I'm running a Lenovo 3000 v100 laptop and I've encounter this problem recently. My laptop won't let me connect to the internet wirelessly. The wireless card does sense nearby connection and was able to connect to it. The icon tells me I have extremely strong connection and it seems to work fine, but when i try to open up a browser it won't let me connect to any pages. However when I connect with a wired connection my internet works fine. I'm guessing that some drivers in my laptop have gotten corrupted but i'm not sure, does any one have a solution to this?

Ti4200, need help its not working right

i recently bought an MSI gforce ti 4200 with 128 megs and 8XAGP.
its a cycle and it goes like this-
i boot up the computer and everything is okay, then when i finally get to my desktop, everything is blurry. once i install the drivers provided in the cd, the screen usually regains clarity and looks good, but then after a few mins. my computer will all of the sudden freeze. then when i go to boot it up, it gets about 5/6 of the way done, and then freezes. then i have to remove my card, uninstall the drivers, and repeat it all again.
i have an SiS motherboard, 1.2 AMD, 512 ram on XP.
any help is greatly aprriciated

First, iDVD is not and never has been part of OS X. If iDVD is not working correctly, then you should investigate possible problems with that application, support files, preferences, or cache.
Of course you can always reinstall OS X if you wish:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

I am having similar problem. Can't open any of CS3 programs after trying to download Dreamweaver Trial, which wouldn't work because "couldn't remove DLM extention" error message. So now I can not run Illustrator, Photoshop, or even Adobe Reader. These are properly licensed for about a year. I get "License for product has stopped working". Have 2 pending cases open with Adobe support (one for Dreamweaver trial, one for license problem) since 8/3 with NO ANSWERS - It says answers within 1-3 business days. Was on phone support hold today for over 3 hours before line went dead with no help. What is up with adobe support? Can anyone help?

Some keys don't work as expected
From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
From the View menu, choose Speech.
Click the Text to Speech tab.
If "Speak selected text when the key is pressed" is enabled, the key or key combination set to speak text cannot be used for other purposes or used to type text--click Set Key and change it to a less-commonly used key combination (try to use modifier keys such as Shift, Command, Option, and Control). Or, disable the "Speak selected text when the key is pressed" option.
Click the Universal Access pane in System Preferences, click the Keyboard tab.
Make sure that Slow Keys is turned off. With Slow Keys on, you need to press a key for a longer period of time for it to be recognized.
In the Universal Access pane, click the Mouse tab, and make sureMouse Keys is turned off. With Mouse Keys enabled, you cannot use the Numeric Keypad to enter numbers--instead the keypad moves the pointer (cursor). (There is an option to enable Mouse Keys with five presses of the Option key; you may want to turn that option off to avoid accidentally enabling it.) If Mouse Keys is enabled and you are using a keyboard with no numeric keypad or Num Lock function, seeUnable to type while Mouse Keys is enabled in Mac OS X.

If the issue persists, use Keyboard Viewer to help isolate the issue:
Click the Language & Text pane (Mac OS X v10.6) or International pane (Mac OS X v10.5.8 or earlier) in System Preferences.
Click the Input Sources tab (or Input Menu tab in Mac OS X 10.5.8 or earlier).
Click the Keyboard & Character Viewer "On" checkbox to select it (click the Keyboard Viewer "On" checkbox in Mac OS X 10.5.8 or earlier).
From the Input (flag) menu, choose Show Keyboard Viewer.
If the keyboard is connected and detected by Mac OS X, the keys you type will highlight in the Keyboard Viewer window. Open TextEdit (or any text application), and try to type something using the keys that were previously not responding to see if they highlight in Keyboard Viewer.

Javascript codes not working as they should in version 7

I have a website that is working fine with version 3.6.9, now it is not working as it should be with version 7. My files containing javascript codes, the links in the codes are broken when am registering some controls using the <%@ Register .... /> tag.
for example:
i have the following code:
<%@ Register Src="~/Controls/TempMenu.ascx" TagName="TempMenu" TagPrefix="uc1" %>
now, whenever I click on any button in the page, instead of redirecting me to an existing page within the same folder, it will go to the "controls" folder and search for the page there...

Hi
I dont think that a field can be disabled and allows to choose data using f4 simultaneously. you can enable the field and allow the user to select whatever he/she wants.
Then in any action like on press of save or submit button which the user will trigger after entering the values, get the value entered by the user in that perticular field and fire a query on the table/view, which you have used as selection method of your search help, it help is coming from data element then look for check table in domain. if sy-subrc comes 0 than go ahead else give error that value selected is modified.

creative cloud photoshop blur tool not work as it should be !
I go to blur a painting i am doing and it does not blur enough and I am using wacom Intuos 5 med pen tablet.
and I even set the tablets sensitivty for pressure lower then default and still not getting the blur tool to do its job.
I even adjusted the brush settings too to be able to blur even more on hard settings, still nothing.
at least it not bluring enough to see any major changes.
the only way i can blur anything is by using the fliters blur or the brushes ( mixer brush ) settings to mix colors and do it that way.
(note) I will not post my systems specs sorry I don't do that and even the tech from adobe said I do not have to. and so I wont !
just need advise not to share system specs.
and thats what this forums board is for getting advice and read what others say about the issue at hand.

It might be your image is too big in terms of pixel dimensions for the blur tool to work well.
If you zoom to 100% do you see any change when using the blur tool?
What are the pixel dimensions of the image?
(Image>Image Size)
If you try a small image, does the blur tool work?
What about when you use the mouse instead of your tablet?
Can you at least tell us what operating system and version of photoshop your using?

That's where I would begin, too, with
Repair Disk
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.TStatus of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report if it saysanything but Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need touse autility like TechTool Pro,Drive Geniusor DiskWarrior
First we need to determine if the issue you are experiencing with the computer is software or hardware based. Once we have gotten things sorted out there should be time enough to make you decision about keeping or returning it.

Use your Software Update under the Apple menu, it SHOULD bring Safari up to 5.1.9 on OS X 10.6.8.
Apple IS issuing security and other updates for Snow Leopard users.
OS X 10.4/10.5 need to upgrade, 10.6.8 ok still
Safari 6+ is only for 10.7+ users as OS X is morphing into iOS.
10.7 and 10.8 will not run your PPC based apps of 10.5/10.6
If Software Update is not working, then you have other issues, backup your users folders off the machine to a external storage drive (not TimeMachine!) and run through this list of fixes.
