Need help Development Planning : Part of Talent Management

Hi All,
I need to turn on new functionality for Development Planning (part of Talent Management), I looked online for material..I did find some but none of them explains configuration steps.
Can someone guide me on the same.

Development Plans functionality in Talent Management

Hello,
We are planning to use the Development Plans functionality in Talent Management.
But the Development Plan is not opening from MSS. (MSS -> Talent management -> Assessment -> Development Plan).
I had created the Business partner object for all my test PERNRs and I had created a Development Plan Template (via IMG step in Talent management). I had activated the Business Functions and Services.
When I open the Development plan in MSS, it is showing the names of employees (i.e. the reports of the manager). But when I click on an employee, it's not opening any development plan. Nothing is happening.

Hi Bharti,
You must first delete the template names from the customizing tables where it is stored (under Talent Assessment node of Talent Management and Talent Development). Then you delete it under PHAP_CATALOG. Unfortunately you have created an databse inconsistency and you might need to see if Basis can delete the values from the table.

Development plan by Employee - Talent Management

Dear Luke,
Greetings.
From one of your blog understand very clearly that Development plans are only accessible by TMS and Manager. And not by Employee. But this could be well accepted when the it comes to larger organization.
In the event of small or mid size kind of organization one of the main requirement is that they want the Employee to view the development plan set for them. Because these Development plans are not only for the purpose of Succession planning rather to address the gap in Position vs Person related competency.
Would be extremely helpful if can share a solution pertaining to getting the Development Plan in Talent Management viewable by Employees.
Would appreciate your inputs.

Hi Sathya,
By default this is not possible, but I know that Chris McNarney has done this before. It is quite complex to code from what I remember because it involves generating the MEM_ID.

How to Delete Development & Potential Form in Talent Management

Hi Guruz,
Please let me know the correct method to delete forms (Development & potential )forms in Talent assessment .
We deleted the forms via PHAP_CATALOG, but they are still visible in Define Forms for Talent Assessment under Talent Assessment, & the system is not allowing to delete it from this node as it gives the below mentioned error:
Appraisal Template was not deleted:
Message no. HRHAP00_TEMPLATE010
Diagnosis
The system may have canceled the deletion for one of the following reasons:
The system cannot delete the element, for example if it is a category group.
The business check found errors.
The element is already released or in history.
The system could not delete the entire structure (one of the above- mentioned reasons could be the cause).
Please let me know what & how to get rid of this problem.

Need help identifying apple part #

My logic board on my G5 is done (according to the geniuses). No apple care, 2 years old, and $2,000 to fix. I've found what someone is selling as a new G5 logic board and has it listed as Apple part # 630-6692. I've googled and googled and can't find ANYTHING that has this number. Does anyone know what this is? Or, where I might find a used logic board for a G5 Dual 2.5 machine????

as you can see, some boards also have "revisions" like "1" or "2" and revisions depend on processors and you'd need to look at parts list for your serial number to determine what goes with what.
"630" thing on ebay got some kind of aluminum heat sink in the middle, and does not really look like PM G5 board (maybe that's why it's photographed in shielded bag)
if it's Apple part, seller could post a pic from the sticker on the box, as a guess that thing could be anything - some printer or server board.

Urgently need help on setting up the ESM MANAGEMENT CONSOLE

Gooday everyone,
As i was trying to setup a demo ESM just to test out something before it goes into production server .
and i always hit up into issue where everytime i will receive a message which is : Object reference not set to an instance of an object .
after this message appear , i was unable to complete the ESM MANAGEMENT CONSOLE setup .
moreover we have the NOVELL Edirectory server setup wizard , so i was using the we have no idea what was going on about it . Besides that , the login user name and password seems to be correct our system using are NOVELL ENDPOINT SECURITY 3.5 ( need to upgrade to 4.1IR in later after the 3.5 version are setup .. )
is there any PRO will come to help ? we need this setup to run as usual ASAP :(any PRO can help will be much appreciated .

Need help identifying internal parts on pavilion dv9930 laptop

Need to know and get pictures of internal parts and indentfy what im missing next to the memory on a hp pavilion laptop model dv9930 looks like missing some type watch battery also something with 3 wires tha are numbered on a computer that was given to me and also what type of power cord would I need please help so I can determine if it is worth fixing really need a computer trying to get back in school and just got outof prison so not much money to work with any help not much knowledge of computers but believe I can do if get diagrams or pictures

Need help developing photo download page

I have a website for my daughter's high school band to
display the photos we take during band events. It is more of a
basic html table with 300x200 pixel images showing in 2 columns and
50 rows. We manually type the file name in the table cell (yes I
know its the hard way to do it, but it didn't take long to setup
either). Anyway, now I would like to have teh other band parents be
able to click on a check box for multiple images on a page and have
a download button at the bottom of the page. Then they can download
all the pictures. Except that I will also have on the site in a
different folder path but still following the same names and this
other would have the full size version (8 megapixel) of the image
and that is what the user would download - not the image in the
table cell.
Yes, I am aware that MySql files should be able to do this
but I have never developed a MySql file before nor a page
referencing it. All of mine have been with Access databases. The
current pages generally require a global search and replace for the
date that is the first part of the file name for the image and it
only takes baout 30 minutes fo me to update 7 pages of 50 photos.
Since this is volunteer work I would like to keep it quick and
easy.
Is there anyone who can help or point me to an online
tutorial or page example that I could draw from?

Need help with licensing part numbers

Ok, here's the scenario:
I have abandoned my original plan to use an IAD2431 to run CUCME and gone with a 2901 instead, but after reading & searching and reading for hours, I can not make heads or tails of this licensing scheme. Can anyone please just review my environment description below and tell me what license part numbers to buy? Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I've never seen anything this ridiculously difficult to figure out.
(1) already installed 2901, with (1) VIC2-2FXO and (2)EHWIC-4ESG installed.
This router will do nothing at present other than run CUCME. I have obtained a 60 day UC evaluation license from Cisco, but I will need to replace this with a permanent license.
(8) 7975G's (spares - no license included)
(1) 7925G (spare - no license included)
I currently have two POTS lines coming into the residence and one external SIP trunk (dialin/dialout). I need for all three of these to be accessible to ephones on my system.
Router is running IOS 15.4(3)M and CME 10. Phones are all running latest (as of today) SCCP firmware.
So, in this scenario, what license part numbers do I need to purchase to make everything work?

Need help to find a Good Task Manager for my Palm LifeDrive

I like many others now have a phone that does everything, and there in lies the problem..
It does scheduling, e-mail, browses the web, plays games, wakes me in the a.m., and yes makes calls.
But LIFE was conflicting with everything tucked into the phone.....
So I went back and dug out my LifeDrive, charged it, installed the Software on my home computer did a few sync's Cleaned, Cleaned, and Cleaned some more.....
Added, added, corrected, added, corrected well you get it.
Now I have a great handheld to manage all of the Personal items Kids events, School, activities, and even one or two for myself
What I need now is a Good Task Manager other than Outlook, I used Franklin in the past and liked it as I need to set a goal and break it up into smaller handlable items all towards completing the main Goal/Task.
I have 2 that I am working on each will be at least a year in length this is why I need smaller tasks to get the larger complete and stay on target.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?

i thought about going the same route you did, but when I started looking at the prices of everything, I decided it was a better idea to just get a new stereo that can play and charge my iPhone.
After a lot of comparing, looking and price checking, I decided to go with the Alpine IDA-X100. This is a media player only device (no cd player built in) and it has been great. It has an awesome interface and dial setup that let's you go through your music just as if it were on an iPod. It even has a small color screen that displays the album artwork for you. My car has a factory BOSE system in it and the Alpine head unit even managed to improve the sound quality. Go see you local alpine dealer (or best buy) and check it out. The supplied cable charges the phone and plays music too. Your iPhone will give you an error message when you plug it in, saying that the accessory was not designed for iPhone, but if you just click no it works great.

Need help identifying socket part

i recently tried to repair my ibook g4 14" and i the process of pulling the power adapter microphone cable connector, (the blue and white cable that plugs into the logic board in the upper left hand side right next to the phone cable) i pulled the socket out of the logic board, does anyone here know what that piece is or where i can find it and is it even possible to repair this on my own, any help would be greatly appreciated, on the side of piece it says "aces 02" if that helps

That's the power socket and I have done that as well. I made a special tool to do that now so I don't do that anymore.
I have repaired two of these but you need some experience soldering SMT circuits.
In both cases the trace under the socket is tiny tiny so I had to trace continuity to the opposite side of the circuit board. These were discrete SMT devices and were gigantic compared to the traces. I led the wires back through the board and soldered them to the bottom of the socket where the traces had pulled out.
Since this happens so often I recommend that you don't disconnect this plug if at all possible. Rather swing the top case out of the way and tape it to the display along with the top shield.

I need help with motion control. I am programming in Visual Basic. I will need help with what parts I need to purchase from NI, along with help on the code.

I am using a Papst servo motor and I need to know where to start and what to purchase to get this motor to spin. I am using visual basic and in my program I calculate the direction and RPM's needed from the motor. It will spin anywhere from 1 to 10000 RPM's. It seems rather easy, but I have no idea on how to spin the motor at the specific RPM, and stop it with a command stop in the program. Please help.

We really should know a little more about your intended uses for this system, but assuming you want to do relatively simple (or even not so simple!) motion, you'll need a few components...
A motion controller, such as the PCI-7342, can take your VB commands and turn them into the commands needed to "run" the motor. Next you'll need a drive, such as the MID-7342. This includes the servo amplifier that actually powers the motor. It also has connections to "pass through" the encoder signals from the motor back to the motion controller.
The above-named pieces assume one or two axes of motion. You'll also need a cable to connect the two (can't remember the model right now). You can use MAX to configure the motion controller, and there are just a few VB calls you
'll need to make using NI-Motion functions to define the motion and get it going.

Im writing a Final Year Project and have minimal experience writing in JAVA.
It is an information visualisation assignment which involves reproducing code/text in a reduced format. Sort of to do with Line oriented statistics.

Anyway, i need to know if its possible to get information about individual undos/edits from an undomanager.
Basically i need to be able to say, for example,
there are 12 undos
undo 12 occurs at line X
undo 11 occurs at line Y
etc etc
I need to be able to get this information without actually invoking the Undo last edit call.
Im bringing the Java undomanager tutorial home but from what ive read it seems like impossible?

When I was at uni I had to implement that for the text area of an IDE. All I did was rip off the code from the Notepad.java that comes with the SDK.

Need help developing web services on Jdeveloper

I'm having some problems developing a particular web service using jdeveloper 10.1.2.1.0 (build 1913).
The web service is located on a remote computer (windows server 2003 SP1), deployed on a jboss3.2.5.
I got the following error:

Would really help if you could provide the wsdl and also steps to reproduce this exception, for us to try it out locally.
You could also try to install the latest JDev 10.1.3.1 available on OTN, to see if it works on it.
