Need help downloading photoshop onto Mac OS X

I am trying to download photoshop onto my Mac with the new update OS X. Every time I click download, it opens a page saying they cannot find the web address. It tells me to open up an application already on my computer or try to find a app on the App Store and I don't know what to do.

First let's get the Creative Cloud Desktop Manager and install it.

If you do not want the Creative Cloud, Photoshop CS6 is the latest you can separately install.

Need some help installing photoshop onto my new computer. Way back when I was in college I purchased photoshop. It has worked fine for everything that I do, plus I know all the tricks to this particular version. It has only been installed on 2 computers before...both my own computers. Now we have a new computer because the last one broke & I haven't been able to download the program. I have the cd etc but wondering why I can't download it. Could it be because it is so old....?? Need help downloading photoshop elements 10 through serial number

I have just purchased a hard copy of photoshop elements 10, but our computer will only run CD's not DVD's, so I can't run the disk. I have got a serial number but I don't know where to put it to download photoshop, since you can no longer download the free trial elements 10 (only elements 11). Any idea's or help would be much appreciated

Need help downloading cs4 onto macbook air from an external disk drive

All the disks are loaded onto the drive but it gets to a certain point and then asks for insert disk 2. After attempting several times and trying different methods, now the setup menu won't even open.

As long as you have a legitimate serial number, you can just download a trial version of the version you need from the public Adobe site, install it and input your valid serial number upon installing it.
You will need to apply all available updates, as all downloads are of the original release.
The Extended and the Standard version of Photoshop are one and the same binary. It's your serial number that makes it Extended or Standard.

My computer is full. i need to download everything onto a external and then clear out the mac. This terrifies me I am afraid I am going to loose something important and I have no idea what to do once I do get things saved on the external.

I am down to a fraction of memory left and it is slowing everything down on my computer. I took it into the Apple store and they told me I need to download everything onto an external hard drive and dump my computer. They showed me how and sent me home. This whole process terrifies me because I am so afraid of loosing something important, like pictures, that I have put it off. I know I need to update by operating system but I don't have enough room in the computer to do that.

If it scare y ou then take the machien back and ask the Apple Store to do this for you. What has probably filled your computer is large libraries such as music, photos and movies. Apple explains how to move those libraries to an external HD. Please read:

Which operating system did your old computer run?
Which operating system does your new computer run?

I have been working in Lightroom 4.3 for MAC. From there I open 2 files to edit in Photoshop as layers so I can add a layer mask to the bottom layer and use the paint brush tool to make certain areas of the image darker or lighter. I have been doing this with no problem and now it doesn't seem to work. I can see the brushes' strokes on the layer mask but can not see the results on the image.
I keep getting a message from Lightroom saying I may need to download Photoshop camera raw plug in version 7.3 for full compatibility whener I try to edit on Photohsop thru Lightroom, but I have already added this plug in and it asks for it. It happens with raw, jpegs and tiffs from my 1D Mark II or my 5D Mark III and with other people's camera. It used to work fine. Now it dosen't I feel like it is something so simple. Please help. This si crucial to my business.

The wording of the message about ACR 7.3 is a bit misleading: What it means is that ACR 7.3 is required for Photoshop. Lr 4.3 has got it.
Which version of Photoshop are you using?
I suspect it's not CS6 but a prior version. If it is a version prior to CS6 you cannot install ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) 7.3.
You may have downloaded it but you cannot install it. It doesn't install.
On the other hand Lr 4.3 is based on ACR 7.3. So you have an incompatibility of ACR versions: 7.3 in Lr 4.3 and an earlier-version-ACR in Photoshop.
With this situation Lr an dPhotoshop are not fully compatible, i.e. you cannot open images as layers. You can only open one image at a time, either by letting Lr 4.3 render the PSD (or TIFF) and sending it to Photoshop (by selecting <Render using Lightroom>), or you let Photoshop open the Raw file with its earlier version ACR (by selecting <Open Anyway>).
In this situation you have two choices: Either upgrade to CS6, or open images in Photoshop one at a time and vonvert to layers in Photoshop.

It would help if you would tell us which version. If it's PSE 12, just install the trial and enter your serial number into that.

It's as easy as csuebele says. Just keep in mind; you can only have two active installations of Photoshop CC at a time. So if you didn't deactivate your PS installation before you formatted your computer (Help/Sign out) you have used up one of your installations and if you try to install PS on a second computer it wont work. In that case you need to contact Adobe and have them deactivate the first installation for you...
