I am really sorry if i have posted this in some wrong area.
thanks

How difficult is it for you to do a google image search for large images of this subject?
While you appear to be doing this project for an educational endeavour and can get away with mild copyright abuse as "fair use", you probably should not expect the participants in this forum to 1) work for Disney either as a direct employee or as a contractor and 2) offer their copyrighted work for free.
If you really want to impress a teacher and a future employer, you would use your own art. Why dont you create your own movie concept? Suppose you and your classmate are up for the same employment position. Who do you think will get hired if you show work that is not all your own, while your classmate has produced all of his/her own work?

  • Need help getting audio off of a dvd...

    [You can skip this paragraph if you don't need the backstory.]
    So, for several weeks I've been trying to get some audio off of a DVD of mine and into a simple mp3 file. A couple days ago I found and followed this guide, and thought I had succeeded. But after a while I realized that the file I got does not play nice with my handheld mp3 player, or mpd, or mplayer, or anything whatsoever that is not gstreamer-based. MPD goes especially berserk - after playing the file, it can no longer play anything else until I reboot (yes reboot - restarting mpd doesn't fix anything). I should also mention that I'm aware that the guide is not 100% correct; I followed the advice and corrections of some commentors there too.
    Anyways, I guess I need to ask for help with this. How would you go about getting audio off of a DVD?
    Last edited by fflarex (2008-07-19 01:26:01)

    I usually use the following command to rip a music dvd to wav:
    OUTPUTDIR="/Some/Rip/Dir"
    TITLE=2
    FIRST_CHAPTER=1
    LAST_CHAPTER=13
    CHAPTER=$FIRST_CHAPTER
    AUDIO_ID=128
    echo "Ripping Audio..."
    while [ $CHAPTER -le $LAST_CHAPTER ]; do
    let NO=$CHAPTER
    mplayer -dvd-device /dev/dvd1 dvd://$TITLE -vo null -vc null -ao pcm:waveheader:file=$OUTPUTDIR/track$NO.wav -af lavcresample=44100 -aid $AUDIO_ID -chapter $CHAPTER-$CHAPTER
    let CHAPTER=CHAPTER+1
    done
    Resampling to 44100 is important since most mp3 players cannot handle 48000.
    Then I have another little script that converts it to flac, sets the correct tags, and finally converts the flac to oggs as well..

  • Need help getting ready for print

    I am running Photoshop CS5 on a Mac 10.8.4.
    I have basic photoshop experience.
    My designer has left me in the lurch at a daedline and I need to get some material to the printer ASAP.
    The design is finished.
    The printer wants all the text outlined and the images embedded then a "high quality PDF" submitted to print.
    Please can someone tell me how to outline text and imbed images. (I know how to savw to PDF).
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Select a Text Layer and invoke
    Type > Convert to Shape
    to make the text layer a layer with a vector mask.
    As for embedding images if you create the pdf in Photoshop I don’t see the relevance of the request.
    But the settings you choose for Compression and Output are relevant factors.
    Which Color Space does the printer request? (And please don’t say CMYK …)
    What is the Color Space and Color Mode of the file you work on?

  • Streamiining Process for Making Quality DVD's

    Hey all...been doing some repetitive work to make lots of different event DVD's.  We had some issues in the beginning ensuring that the DVD's were compatible with the highest % of players out there and finally came to this processing that works well, but it is very time consuming and cumbersome.  Was hoping somebody could look it over and see if there is a shortcut to get the same/similar quality?
    Here's what we've been doing....I actually typed it up so my employees will all do it the same way....
    Creating a DVD
    ) From Final Cut, set the Timeline up how you want the final DVD movie to look (Graphics, transitions, etc.)
    ) Export Timeline to Quicktime Movie
    ) Send the Quicktime movie to Compressor. Convert to DVD Files and save to a folder named “DVD Files”
    ) From DVD Studio Pro: Import the DVD Files and Click “File” – “Advanced Burn” click “Build” only. Save the build file into a new folder “Build_(File Name)”
    ) Open Toast …..You want to make a Video TS. Click on bottom and click finish
    Drag the two recently created “Build” files into the screen. The screen may switch back to “Copy”. Make sure you switch back to Video TS file across the top of the menu choices.
    Name the project “File Name_DVD.” At the bottom of the window the wheel looking icon check to see if speed is set on 2X or as low as you can.
    So...are we in the ballpark?...doing something redundant?  Are you laughing now?

    They're related issues, yes.
    As long as your picture and sound together do not exceed the maximum sustained data transfer rate of the DVD-Video spec, then your playback will be fine.
    Your ceiling for the data transfer rate is about 7.5 Mbits/second total for picture and sound.  Uncompressed audio takes away bandwidth that could otherwise go towards video; however, assuming you are staying under a target bit rate, you're fine.
    It's all about bit budget.  If you have under 90 minutes of video, you can probably get away with uncompressed audio (and yes, it'll take up a huge portion of the 4GB or so that you have to work with on a single layer DVD).  If you have multiple audio streams (like a director's commentary or an alternate language track), then you're probably going to have to compress the audio just to get everything to fit on the disc.

  • Need help getting artwork from iTunes

    New iPod / iTunes user here. After importing my CDs directly into iTunes, I am encountering artwork problems with two CDs that are available in iTunes, yet for some reason I can't use for my imported music.
    I researched enough to figure out that the album tags seem to be the culprit in this situation, and was successful in fixing a few other albums, but the following two I cannot figure out what's wrong:
    http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=41228583&s=143441
    Henryk Gorecki: Symphony #3 by Zinman, Upshaw, and London Sinfonietta
    http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=27287148&s=143441
    Oliver Messiaen: Eclairs sur l'au-dela by Simon Rattle and Berlin Philharmonica
    With both, I've edited the tags to match exactly (as far as I can tell) with the versions in iTunes, including spelling, diacritic marks, and punctuation, yet I still get the "artwork not found" message.
    I've even tried adding random spacing at the end of the tags, but still nothing. Can anyone help me with this? I was hoping maybe someone who bought these albums off iTunes or got the tags right would be able to let me know if there's some sort of hidden spacing that I'm not catching.
    Thanks for any help!

    well if you're trying to just get the artwork it's easy enough to do by yourself...
    just look up an image in (for example) google search and when you find the one you want as your album artwork just right click and save to a picture file on your comp that you can easily find...
    then go to a song in that album in the "music" tab in itunes and right-click. select "get info" and then go to the last tab called "artwork" and select the "add" box. pick the picture and select "ok"
    then that pic should show up as your album artwork...
    hope this helps

  • Need help getting video on a mini DVD to my MacBook????

    i am trying to find a way to download the video (& audio), which is on a mini DVD in my video camera, to my MacBook. I have my Sony Handycam connected directly to my MacBook...In the past, i have used Diva to get the video on my laptop, but the problem with Diva is that it does not do sound only video... Somebody please help me.........thank you

    you have to solve two problems:
    never ever put miniDVDs into slot-in drives (as in iMacs or laptops) => buy any external dvd-drive..
    second, conversion of (finalized) DVDs:
    copy/paste:
    for using the iLife vers. ≤6 apps, you have to convert'em first, in recommended order, choose one of the following tools/workarounds:
    DVDxDV (free trial, 25$, Pro: 90$)
    Apple mpeg2 plugin (19$) + Streamclip (free)
    VisualHub (23.32$)
    Drop2DV (free, requires installation of ffmpeg parts, google for it...)
    Toast 6/7/8/9 allows converting to dv/insert dvd, hit apple-k
    connect a miniDV Camcorder with analogue input to a DVD-player and transfer disk to tape/use as converter
    old apps:
    Cinematize >60$
    Mpeg2Works >25$ + Apple plug-in

    Welcome back. Do not overlook the Finder and individual application Help menu support. The links provided above are great starter references. With tongue in cheek, they also may not be as current as the OS X release on your mini, so expect some differences.
    Here are a litany of keyboard short-cuts, last updated in June 2012, that may prove selectively beneficial.
    For actions like copy(c), paste(v), cut(x), print(p), and select-all(a), substitute the command key instead of control key.
    If you right click on a file, this menu will seem familiar. Press the option key and notice the menu changes. If you copy a file(s) from this menu, change to the destination and then press option with the right button menu to see copy file(s) changed to move file(s).
    To quickly view a file's contents, left click on the file icon, then press the space bar.
    The native file format for OS X is PDF. Thus, when you choose to print, you also have the option to save as PDF with web links preserved.
    Enjoy your mini.

  • Downloading artwork - "could not get artwork for some albums"

    This might have been addressed before, but I browsed the forum and couldn't find a thread. Sorry if it's been gone over several times.
    I live in Turkey and I've added albums to my iTunes. I checked the box in the Get Info next to Artwork and I selected Get Album Artwork from the Advanced tab. It scans through all the albums and then says "could not get artwork for some albums." "Some" albums means all of them actually. And the error tab details say "artwork not available." I also tried getting artwork by right clicking on a single album but I get the same error. Before it was a 609 error. Now it just says not available.
    I logged out of the store, quit iTunes, loaded it again, re-signed in to the store and tried to get artwork that way, but got the same result. No artwork. The albums are things like Let It Be, Allman Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald... Albums that should certainly have artwork available.
    I'm using Windows Vista.
    Has anyone had and conquered this problem? Any ideas on what I should do? I have 300+ albums, so getting the cover art from wikipedia would be a bit tedious. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give!

    Hello, Welcome to Apple Discussions.
    Are your songs from Audio CDs or iTunes Store? If not you may need to manually find the album artwork for them as these songs may not be listed in the iTunes Store database for your region.
    iTunes: Album art may not download properly
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1815
    iTunes will only download album artwork for songs that it can find in the iTunes Store. iTunes will check each song in your iTunes library and attempt to match it up with a song in the iTunes Store. If the data matches, iTunes will download the album artwork from the iTunes Store and add it to the song in your iTunes library. If iTunes does not find a particular song's artwork in the iTunes Store, you will not see an alert message. iTunes simply does not download artwork for that song.

    need help getting from 10.5.8 to 10.6.  i know i'm late to the game!

    If you are not sure of what you are doing,If you are worried about losing anything when doing a major systems upgrade/update,
    Before embarking on a major OS upgrade, it would be wise, advisable and very prudent if you backup your current system to an external connected and Mac formatted Flash drive OR externally connected USB, Thunderbolt or FireWire 800, Mac formatted hard drive. Then, use either OS X Time Machine app to backup your entire system to the external drive OR purchase, install and use a data cloning app, like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper, to make an exact and bootable copy (clone) of your entire Mac's internal hard drive. This step is really needed in case something goes wrong with the install of the new OS or you simply do not like the new OS, you have a very easy way/procedure to return your Mac to its former working state.
    Older version of CarbonCopyCloner found here.

    Older versions of SuperDuper can be found on the SuperDuper Website and Homepage.
