if you mean that you can't listen to music from the headset and from the phone speaker at the same time then that is by design works the same with all things really such as computer and the likes too
if you mean that the device does not play out of a connected headset only out of the speaker then you have a hardware issue with the headset detector you can read more about it here even though most have the opposite issue but it's the same issue really

It's very easy to do - open up the music app, find the song/artist/album you want to delete and then swipe on it right to left and press 'delete'. Once you have done this it will take up no more space on your device whether it's in the cloud or not.
If the song is still appearing in the music app with a little cloud next to it then you can stop it from showing by going into settings, music, and turning off 'show all music'. Note that this will remove ALL songs from the music app that have the cloud next to it (the cloud means they are in the cloud, online, but not stored on the device) and if you want to play them you will have to open itunes and redownload it, or change this setting back to on.

one simple question : can I still listen to the music on my hifi if the TV is switched off?
I explain myself : If I just want to listen to some music on my stereo, do I have to switch ON the TV or it works even with no telly on? (I havent bought it yet...).
and also : is there any difference between Apple TV and AirPort Express, in terms of music quality, or its exactly the same thing?

You don't need the tv on to listen, navigation though would require either you turn the tv on or use an iphone/ipod touch to control it.
No difference in audio quality between the tv and the express, can't remember what max bit depths they use but the sample rate is limited to 44 KHz.

yes. the solution of last resort. now, as to why your computer froze when you were trying to edit a photo in iPhoto, I can't help you much. Maybe a lack of ram, maybe something else running in the background, hogging system resources. try running disc utility and repairing preferences. Also check activity monitor while your machine is running so you can find out if there is a hog or not. if force quit doesn't work, there's not much else you can do. I'll leave it to someone else to suggest other possible solutions

If not successful try the ramaining items of
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
The Apple TV 2 doesn't show up under devices like the Apple TV 1, to send video and music to the Apple TV you need to use the Airplay Option which appears in the lower right corner of iTunes.

I have a nearly identical problem with my Ipad 3. Mine is the left channel. I've yet to find help, but have found a number of other posts on this and other forums discussing the issue. People have tried restore, reset etc. Also, cleaning the ports with compressed air or cotton swabs. It appears to be a software issue, but no one is sure.
Along with the original poster, I'd appreciate any help.

I can't listen music with my 4S.

The speakers are not working for some apps like itunes or youtube. Although the phone rings and some alert sounds are ok the speakers are not working 100%. I can't listen music even with the apple earpods. There may be something wrong with the software. I appriciate your help.

and everytime i connect ipod to computer for transfering songs or to use as hd. it starts charging even if not required.

Yes. Connect the ipod to your computer, and once it's recognized by iTunes, safely disconnect it (eject the iPod as normal). Leave it connected via the cable and the iPod will receive a charge whilst you use it.
The transfer of songs is a huge drain on the iPods battery, therefor it is essential to have power supplied to it or else the transfer may fail.
So, even if you were able to stop the charge (and you can't), you wouldn't want to.

Beginner! Need help getting started with recording music.

I am the definition of 'new' at the moment. I want to record my own music at home and I've been told that using an Apple Mac is one of the better ways to go about it at home.
I have a number of questions, most of which have probably been asked before (apologies!) starting right from the beginning.
1. What type of Mac would be best suited as a dedicated tool for recording music? Obviously speed and memory are big factors, but are there any other considerations here (available inputs, drivers, sound cards etc)? I'm hoping to keep the cost below AUS$3000 if possible.
2. Do i need any other hardware for this application? (this is where you can tell how inexperienced I am haha) such as mixers etc? If I should need a mixer, is there a particular type or brand of mixer that works well with Macs?
3. Will plugging a guitar amp into the mac improve sound quality over plugging the guitar directly into the Mac? I bought a Griggin Garage Band guitar cable a while ago to record some background music for a friend's DVD, and I found it worked well, but I'm looking for the best quality sound now.
4. What would be the most effective software to use? I've briefly used Garage Band and found that to be simple and useful, but I've heard that there are better software packages available.
I'm hoping to be able to record guitar, bass and vocals directly on to the Mac, and create drum tracks using samples and loops. I know how to play music but as you can tell I know very little about recording it! Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

It's showing its age, and will hopeful get updated soon, but most of the info is good at least for a background.
Anyway, I think I might recommend this Presonus INSPIRE over the FireBox, it'll save you about $100 and since PreSonus makes excellent equipment (and we have an active member here that uses the Inspire), I'm confident that it offers great quality.

I agree, the FirePod would be serious overkill for your needs. Again, an awesome interface, but you'd be paying for all those Mic PREs, and using 1. That wouldn't make sense, and since the FP isn't cheap...

Then I would strongly suggest GB as the software, and then do lots of reading. The weakest link in music production is your engineering skills. Mixing and Mastering (especially the latter) are art forms. A bad engineer using a $10,000 bit of software and hardware would make a fantastic performance sound like garbage. With good engineering skills you can make a pro recording with GB.
The learning curve with something like Logic is dramatically increased, and again, without the skills to take advantage of what it offers, your recordings are not going to sound any better. At the very least, start with GB to learn the skills of Recording/Editing/Mixing/Mastering. The "price of admission" is low enough that if in a year you find that you need a feature GB doesn't offer, your money will not have been wasted, it will have been valuable learning time.

Use View > View Options, and set 'Sort By" to "Manual Order."
Then you will be able to drag-n-drop songs up and down the list.
