1st the sata drive cannot be listed as a slave drive to the ide master [key word=ide-can be configured as master OR slave, master IF only 1 hd, master and slave IF 2 hds], on the sata controler you can have master and slave, the ide cable has two connectors for the hds, sata has only 1 hd connector.
are you wanting to install the sata as primary master and move the operating sys to that drive, if so you will need an IMAGING software to move an operating system OR you could do a fresh operating system install to the sata drive then install your programs.

Deploy CC Download Manager with active volume license key

Hello.
In our organization we have a volume license with 145 seats.
Is it possible to remotely deploy the download manager and somehow already activate the volume license key?
I looked at the CC packager, but for our users there would be too many combinations of packages and everything in one package is also not an option.
I found no way to activate the volume license key on a Adobe ID.

We are indeed an Enterprise customer, and i have been looking at the creative packager application. But if we use pre-activated packages i would have to make around 20 different combinations (mix of video editing, photo editing, recording, flash packages etc etc). Which would make the maintenance impossible.
I would prefer to ONLY install the Download Manager on everyone's computer, and let them choose which packages they actualy need without the need to enter the volume license key.
If i install the download manager, and only ONE packaged application (for example Photoshop), would all the other applications automaticaly be activated aswell?
Also: It's not possible to activate a volume license key on a Adobe ID right?

Sorry, but that one doesn't sound like something for "users helping other users" -- unless someone smarter comes along here ... :-) ... I would advise going to Apple Support to have it taken care of ... or to your local Apple Store, over to the Genius Bar.

On the display have message "SIM not valid. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. You have been using a phone that has been hacked to allow it to be used on your network. Upgrading your phone's software has relocked your phone to the original carrier.
You will not be able to use your phone again unless the ORIGINAL carrier offers unlocking. Many don't, and many who DO offer unlocking, will not unlock unless the phone has active service with the carrier in the appropriate country.
You will need to find out who the carrier your phone is locked to is, and see if that carrier unlocks the phone. It is very likely you will need to buy a new phone.

- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

Need help with recomendations on licenses for Server 2012 Std R2

I have a client who wants to purchase a server from me. I can buy the parts and assemble the system no problem. But I'm a newbie when it comes to user CALs or device CALs. The company will be having about 50 computers connecting to it. I'm assuming they'll
just be using the standard user/password domain login.
What else would I need to purchase in addition to the OS?
What kind of features does the vanilla server OS give you? Can 50 computers connect to just the OS alone? I've seen places that have a 1 user CAL for $36. Do I need 50 of these? If I don't purchase them right away, could my client still connect their computers
to the server?

Licensing Windows Server 2012 comes in four different flavours foundation, essentials, standard and datacenter.
Your client is wanting connect 50 users which really does rule out two of those flavours.
Essentials is ruled out because it is an OEM operating system and only supports up to 15 users and has limited functionality
Foundation is rules out because it only supports up to 25 users and has limited functionality
This leaves us with two Windows Server 2012 flavours you can purchase Standard or Datacenter. They both have exactly the same functionality; the difference is the virtualisation
rights. With standard one license covers two physical processors and supports two virtual machines, if you need more virtual machines then you would have to buy another standard license and giving the right to four virtual machines for example. Then
for datacenter license covers two physical processors and covers you for an unlimited amount of virtual operating systems.
To make this hopefully easier:
1 x standard license covers = 2 x physical processors – 2 x virtual operating systems environments
1x datacenter license covers = 2 x physical processors – unlimited virtual operating environments
Both Standard and Datacenter come with Full functionality
Meaning standard licensing is really for no or very limited virtual environments, then if you are looking in to a virtual environment Datacenter is the way to go.
On regards to CALS are required for every user or device accessing the server. They/you will need to decide whether or not you go for Device or user CALs. User CAL
is more expensive but it gives companies a lot more flexible if the users are running more than one device for example if they support a bring your own device strategy. Although there are different types of CALS depending on what the customer will be
looking to use and access.
Also can your user still connect to the server: technically speaking yes, CALS are not like license keys you cannot activate them it is effectively a piece of
paper to say you have purchased X amount CALS and your compliant to allow your users to connect. So you can connect with out purchasing but you will not be compliant from a licensing standpoint.

Need Help in Activating iPad

So here's the thing.
I currently have iOS 8.1. I tried to restore my iPad mini because I screwed up while I was updating it to iOS 8.0.2 (I unplugged the device from pc when I saw the "Charger pointing to iTunes") and when I plugged it again It said that I needed to restore the device and so I did. When the activating part came, It said that it needed an apple id (The "This device is currently linked to c*****@yahoo.com" thing). Good thing I remembered that ID because I was using another one. Now, when I entered that ID it said that the ID was missing important details or something so I went to appleid and logged on the ID there. turns out that It wasn't verified so I went to the email address linked to the ID. Unfortunately, the email address was already recycled and I had to make a new one so I did just that. Afterwards, I linked the Apple ID to the new email address and then I verified it. And then when I entered it in the activation, It said: "*apple id* cannot be used to activate this iPad."
Please. I need help.

Need help with Photoshop and "Licensing for this product has stopped working" message. Adobe fix isn't working.

I am still using CS3. A while back I received an error: "Licensing for this product has stopped working" for my CS3 programs. I used the recovery program suggested by Adobe and was able to get Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver to work, but I still can't open Photoshop or In Design. I went back to the Adobe site and did every other trick they suggested to fix the error, but nothing has worked.
I then tried to uninstall photoshop from my CS3 suite (so I could reinstall) but got a JavaScript Alert: "Critical errors were found in set up. Please see set up log for file details." Seeing as I am not the best with the behind the scenes technical stuff, I have no idea what this means or where the set up log even is. Any help anyone can provide?
I have had CS3 installed on my computer for over a year. I started having problems about 4 months ago.

I am having similar problem. Can't open any of CS3 programs after trying to download Dreamweaver Trial, which wouldn't work because "couldn't remove DLM extention" error message. So now I can not run Illustrator, Photoshop, or even Adobe Reader. These are properly licensed for about a year. I get "License for product has stopped working". Have 2 pending cases open with Adobe support (one for Dreamweaver trial, one for license problem) since 8/3 with NO ANSWERS - It says answers within 1-3 business days. Was on phone support hold today for over 3 hours before line went dead with no help. What is up with adobe support? Can anyone help?

Logic Pro 9 - need help with 'Go To Beginning' key assignment.

I preface my question by saying I would think that Garageband and Logic Pro would both use the same key commands for basic commands, and I think they are intended to do so. I have configured my Logic Pro 9 to use commands for the extended keyboard even though I am using a MacBook Pro with small Apple wireless keyboard - I do this because it allows me to use 'Go To Beginning' by using the 'Return' key.
Garageband allows me to use 'home' which is fn left-arrow on the small keyboard and that is fine, but fn left-arrow does not do anything in Logic Pro even though it should act like the 'home' key. Do I need to just use the return key, which does work, to 'go to beginning' while editing in Logic Pro?
Re-assigning 'Go To Beginning' in the keyboard reassignment dialog is grayed out so I am not allowed to enter or change anything in this dialog.
Frustrating when the most simple things do not work in an otherwise complex and wonderful piece of software.

Oh my, Look what I found in a post that Apple should read. This needs to be clarified to save hours of frustration...

actually, i've fixed it. after fiddling for ages basically the problem is that you cannot select the key commands by checking the modifier key boxes an entering the the key. you have to choose learn by position or label and press the keys themselves. if you do it this way it will work.

I've installed it and got it running with the SLES VMWare Version George pointed me to in this [Forum Topic|Where to download SLES10 SP1 SAP Version?;. It seems that the default License is already expiered and the server stops after 30 minutes. I tried to get a License Key from https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap/bc/bsp/spn/minisap/minisap.htm but there is no selection for the Instance Name CTB. Has anyone tried this Trial Version before?
