Need help in BW data load
Hi gurus,
I am just practicing in SAP BW. I have created Info Catalog, InfoObjects, InfoAreas, InfoProviders. All I did and went throught correct. But when I check data in Infocube. When I want to see the InfoCube Contents, it is taking all infoobjects but it is not show ing data values. Please help me how to see data while seeing with infocube->manage->data browser: Table /bic/fic_demoBC: selecttion screen.

Considering that u r loadinf from the Flat file .. follow the steps ...
1.create Source System : RSA13 --- Create Source System.
2.Create InfoArea : RSA11 /// RSA 14
Create info object catalogues and the Info Objects .. Key figs n chars .
3.Create Infosource if transaction data using flexible update n if master data using direct update.
4.Do mapping n propoose transfer rules. n see the communication structure.
n activate transfer rules.
5.create Info cube n according the starschema concept . i.e. Tcode RSA11 give the IC name n desc .. give the infosource n create dimensions n assign the chars logically n give time chars .
6.Now context menu on the IC n create update rules to update the data from the Infosource to the data target.
7. Now schedule the data from Source to the DT using the Info package .
8.in the scheduler screen u can give the selection n the data target n the processing n finally star tloading .
now u can check the data in the monitor screen by selcting the dispaly contents n selecting the chars n Kfs to be dispalyed .

Need help in oracle data recovery
Friends ,i need help in oracle data recovery.
I had an oracle 8i database running on windows.
For some reason Windows operating system crashed.
It is not booting up.
I dont have current backups.But my database physical files are in the disk.
Controlfile,datafiles and redo log files are there.
Is there any way I can recover my database?
Please help in this issue.

I have installed database 9i on the same PC after O/S reinstallation.
You are saying that ,I need to keep oracle root folder same as that of my old installation ,and copy control files,redo log and data files in exactly same folders as that of old database,and then start the database?

I need help proving the date tag on a photo stored in my iPhoto is from the date it was sent to my iphone/date it was imported into iphoto - and that it is NOT the date the photo was actually taken. I recieved a photo via text on my iphone and then I synced my iphone to my macbook and now it is in iphoto. I already know that the date on the photo per the tag that shows up on it in iphoto is NOT the date the photo was actually taken. I need article or literature or something confirming the tag is from when it was sent to the iphone and/or when it was imported. I greatly appreciate some assistance!
All I am trying to do is find something on a forum board or article etc stating that the the date showing in iphoto could be the date it was imported or synced or sent to me and not the actual date taken.
The date on the photo could be anything because you can edit the date with iPhoto or any of 100 apps, free and paid for. So, the date on the photo will prove nothing, I'm afraid.

Need help in converting date format from 'DD-MON-YYYY' to 'YYYY-MM-DD' in an .rtf template as I believe xml publisher supports the date format as 'YYYY-MM-DD' only.

I also tried <?xdoxslt:month_name(xdoxslt:get_month(xdofx:substr(NEED_BY_DATE, 4,3)), $_XDOLOCALE), 0, 'nl-NL')?>, but then it returns a namespace error (Caused by: oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XPathException: Namespace prefix 'xdofx' used but not declared.). Anyone know how to fix this?

Need Help Urgently - Want to Load Time Data Automatically into Oracle HRMS

I am on my 1st Oracle HRMS project and I need urgent help on HOW TO load Time (IN/OUT) Data from a MS Access database which is populated by a Biometric Hand Geometry System.
And we need to do it in real time as the data inserted in the MS Access Database we need to pull that into Oracle HRMS for Payroll purposes.
If somebody can help me in this I'll greatly appreciate that.

1. Is this time data to be used to pay a person through Oracle Payroll?
2. What legislation (country) is this for?
3. Are you using Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) as the front-end or do you intend to enter the data directly into Oracle Payroll?

Need help with Rollback data if there is error in Data load
Hi All,
We are trying to load data to Oracle 11g database. We want a trigger, procedure or something like that to rollback the data if there are errors in load. Is it possible to do rollback after all the records has been parsed ? So if we try to load 100 records and if there are 30 records with error, we want to rollback after all the 100 records are parsed.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that option. So currently we are only loading data that is validated and erroneous records are rejected using trigger. So we don't get any invalid data in table. But Now users are saying that all the records should be rejected if there is even one error in the data load.

I generally use a much simpler solution for such multi-stage ETL processes.
Each table has a IS_VALID column that defaults to 'N'. Each step of the process only pulls data with the flag set to 'Y'.
That allows me to leave data in the table but guarantee that it won't be processed by subsequent stages. Since most queries that move data from one stage to another ultimately have to read table rows (i.e. they can't just use indexes) it is not a performance issue to add a predicate such as "'AND IS_VALID = 'Y'" to the query that accesses data.
1. add new unvalidated data - automatically flagged an invalid by default of 'N" on IS_VALID column
2. run audit step #1 - capture the primary key/rowid of any row failing the audit.
3. run audit steps #2 through #n - capture error row ids
4. Final step - update the data setting IS_VALID to 'Y' only if a row passes ALL audits: that is, only if there are NO fatal errors for that row captured in the error table.
That process also allows me to capture every single problem that any row has so that I can produce reports for the business users that show everything that is wrong with the data. There are some problems that the business wan't to ignore, others that can be fixed in the staging tables then reprocessed and others that are rejected since they must be fixed in the source system and that can take several days.
For data that can be fixed in the staging tables the data is fixed and then the audit is rerun which will set the IS_VALID flag to 'Y' allowing those 'fixed' rows to be included in the data that feeds the next processing stage. -
Need help in ViewObject Data Validation

I have few queries about ViewObject. I'm working on JDev11gU2 ADFRC.
Actually i made an application to upload XLS file to af:table. Everything is working but now I stucked with some functionality. Like -
1. After inserting all rows in table have opposite sequence as in XLS file, I mean i want to know that is there any way with method VO.readXML() i can
Insert rows below the previous one. by default it is taking new row as first row in af:table.
2. Second thing is, I need to show at least 100 lines in af:table by default after uploading data of minimum 3000 lines. So like we had paging functionality in JDev 10g, but in 11g we have scroll and fetch functionality, because of this after loading 100 lines in table my application gets very slow. So any solution to put some same paging functionality like 10g.
3. Validate all Row attribute in Viewobject, like I have a button say Validate Data, after clicking it all Data of viewobject should validate and if there are any Invalid data. So that Row column should get highlighted. Validation just like before committing data.These are some critical requirement so is there anyone who can guide me properly.

So now I'm trying to Identify these errors and try to get exact column attribute like above to highlight them in table in red with showing proper formatted msg to user. Like :

Line 5 : JobId, DeptId and InstId.
If i do ViewObject Validation then at the time i Uploading process of data from XLS get very slow for large amount of rows like 250<, That's why i was trying to do it after uploading data.
So after upload i got above table. Now i have a save button where I'm committing data, which calls doDML() method for that Employee entity, where
suppose process gets error on Line 1 then whole process stops there and throws JboException, and i got Line no 1 for my Msg to show user, but what about other faulty rows,
For that i catched that exception so after every faulty row process continues, but now the line 4 , which has no error it get committed in DB. I don't want this.
Another solution i got is use postChange(), but here I'm not getting what I'm doing wrong, problem is it post all previous rows too, suppose i have new 5 lines as shown above but in postChange() method post rest of old lines too. It is making me completely crazy,
It is very urgent so could not able to find more time to research on this so you please help me, or if you have some examples related to this then please send me the links.

Urgent help require-ASO data loading
I am working on 9.3.0 and want to do incremental data loading so that it wont affect my past data.I am still not sure that it is doable or not .Now the question is
do I need to design a new aggragation after loading data.

The ASO cube will clear off all the data , if you make any structural changes to the cube ( i.e if you change your outline ,and you can find out what exactly can clear off hte data ,for example , if you add a new member ,then ,it clears off , and in other case ,if you just add a simple formula to the existing member , it might not clear off the data ).
If you dont want to effect the past data ,and yet you want to incrementally load , then ensure that all the members are already in the otl( take care of time dimension , let all the time members be there in place) and then you can load in ,using the option of 'add to existing values' while you load .
But remember , you can only do ,without any structural changes. Else , you need to load all together again
Its good if you design aggregation , as it helps in retrieval performance, but its not mandatory.

I NEED HELP My cellular data is not working! I called and went to Apple INC. And At
So after July 4th 2013 I experienced wi-fi problems. I wasn't able to keep connected and i kept getting kicked out my own wi-fi. I left it continue a while because i thought it was only temporary. But i noticed my cellular data with at&t hadn't been working properly for about a month. Then it started getting worse till the point now I cannot use nor wi-fi nor cellular data. I called Apple Inc., they thought it was a bug, and we took procedures for trying to fix it. We restarted it, and reset network settings. Finally they suggested calling or going into at&t. I called first and we did almost same exact procedures as apple. So I decided going into At&t, they changed my original sim card and was only recieving 1 bar of signal, but i was bad. I couldn't do anything. After they scheduled and appointment at Apple store, ugh! which was such bad service. People everywhere and rushed through my problem and he didn't even let me explain. He only suggested I buy their ipad exchaging mine. In which come on. I couldn't back up my photos and stuff that instant. I asked him to give me a minute and he never came back. Like what was the point of that appointmet? After leaving I walked about 2 streets down and all my cellular data bars and 3g were up. It only worked there and when i was driving home and got home nothing once again. Not even inside the store. i mean others wi-fi works in some areas and my cellular data was good until now . I know At&t told me they were not experiencing any technical issues and everything was good, so i know its not due to that. My siste's mini ipad is working fine, so is my sisters ipod. I really need help and someone to take time in reading this and or helping me.Please thanks!

Need help in FDM data manipulations
Hi,
I am fairly new to Hyperion FDM and still learning its features with Planning. I have following scenario.
I need to move my data from Dept ABC to Dept XYZ when the account = '10000'. I have both the ABC and XYZ depts in my Planning system.
Is there a way I can accomplish this in FDM? I am looking at the document, but not sure where to look at it.

Please see my response to your question on the Network 54 forum.
FDM is really intended to perform data loads from a source system than move data around within the cube.
Your requirement is somewhat ambiguous and it sounds like you want to move a specific piece of data that resides within the planning cube already rather than make all future data load like this. Presuming this is a one time activity you may consider using a calc script/business rule.
You will find that may people use both forums and posting to one is a more effective way to rely on people answering your queries.

I need help in writing the data from JSP to excel.I somehow able to retrieve the data into excel but unable to get the required format.
For eg: The amount should be displayed in 0.00 format .when i am exporting it to excel it is displaying as 0 :( .

One way to convert the jsp page to excel, is to render it as an excel appl instead of html. Set the content type of the response to application/ms-excel.
