Need help in installing the designer db

Hi All!
I have two instances up and running on Oracle 9i. These two were created with the help of export.dmp files.
Now, I will have to get the designer up and running on Designer 6i. I have few dmp files for the designer DB. Iam not sure how to go ahead with the installation of the Designer. It is because, when I tried logging into the Designer, I was prompted to create a repository and when I tried creating the repository, I imported an export.dmp file and now, it does not allow me to login. Iam thrown out with an error saying : " You are attempting to connect to a previous release of the repository".
Any thoughts???

To create JCO follow the procedure.
Logon to portal>content admn>create JCO destination-->Here u have create Jco for ?Model data and Metadata.
steps invovled in it.
1.      Define general data
2.      Define the J2EE cluster
3.      Define the data type and connection type
4.      Define the application server or message server
5.      Define the security settings.

If it is Win 7 or later, the Adobe PDF printer for AA 7 will not install and AcroTray will not function. You will have to install a PS driver from Adobe or maybe an HP color PS printer driver. Then edit the driver properties and change the name to Adobe PDF and the port to FILE. You will always have to do an extra step in creating PDFs by opening the file that is created in Distiller to get the PDF.
If you are talking about Win 8, you may not be successful at all. If you got Acrobat and Distiller to install, then there is a chance.

Need help in installing the SAP Jco

I'm installing HP Change Impact analysis on Quality center and bring SAP in Sync later.One of the installtion step isto install the SAP JCo(Java connector ).I have installed the SAP Jco and on starting the CIT Server..I get a exception messsage
"SAP Jco is not installed;noclassdeffounderror com\sap\mw\jco\Jco "
Can anyone help in installing the SAP Jco successfully.

Need help with installing CS6 Design Standard

Hi all,
Bought CS6 Design standard as a download from Currys the other day. I have a list of 4 files to download.
First one is a PDF to tell me how to activate my student software.
Second is a download .exe file for design standard
Third is another .exe for illistrator content installer
Fourth is another .exe for indesign and incopy content installer.
I've donwloaded all 4 files and once i've clicked on the two content installers i then click on the design standard .exe file and up comes this error message "the file archive part of adobe cs6 design standard is missing. you need all parts in the same folder in order to extract adobe cs6 design standard. please download all parts."
As google automatically places all the download items into the downloads folder, I'm assuming I've done the correct thing and placed them all in the same folder.
I have read that you need to extract a .72 folder or something. however i cannot see that on my downloads list.
Please could someone help, or is this a case of taking my laptop into currys and demanding someone to help me??

you should contact your vendor to see where that 7z file is.
btw, it should not be manually extracted. the exe will extract the 7z file's contents.

I need help with installing the flash player!

I am trying to install the flash player and as the download progresses it asks me to close internet explorer to continue. I close internet explorer and press the continue button and it repeats the request to close internet explorer. I have completely closed out of everything except the installing process and it still won't continue the download, it wants me to close out of internet explorer and I have already done that! Can anyone help me with this??? I am so frustrated. I am not an advanced computer user, but I have followed all the instructions for this procedure and end up with the same result... close internet explorer. I would appreciate assistance so much!

You need to close all iexplore.exe instances; use the Task Manager's Processes tab.

New to Forms, need help in Installing the Summit Application

Can someone guide me in installing Summit appl. and a runtime env. configuration. I am using 10g Dev. and 10g DB.
I have put the complete summit folder (got it from OTN) in C:/ and was successful in importing the summit data from the command line.
the problems i am facing are:
*Should i directly point to the summit folder in the c:/ while entering values for forms_path in the registry?
*next point in the readme file says
compile the application. The file gen.bat will generate files under microsoft windows. What application should I compile and how?

*this has to be added to the HTTPD.CONF file in Apache.
But i have found this file in my pc at this loc: (C:\DevSuiteHome_1\perl\site\5.6.1\lib\Apache) Is this the same file?

The first thing you must realize is that this Demo is very old and was created for a very old Forms version (6.0.x). At least three new releases have come out since this demo was created.
The documentation for the demo is specific to that old version. Every reference to "60" should be removed. For example a reference to FORMS60_PATH has now been changed to FORMS_PATH. This applies to ALL variables.
The same applies to file names. For example f60all.jar is now frmall.jar. Same is true for f60all_jinit.jar, which is now frmall_jinit.jar.
So, as you can see copying the README word for word is going to cause you problems.
Here is an overview of what you likely need to do based on your last update:
1. Verify that you successfully imported the database objects related to the demo. Login as summit and see if the tables and data actually exist. If not, this should be corrected first.
2. Whether you use default.env or summit.env is entirely up to you. If you choose to use default.env, the only thing I can think of that would need to be changed is the FORMS_PATH. Add the path to where your FMX, MMX, and PLX files will be located.
If you choose to use summit.env, copy the file to ..\forms\server (this is the same directory where you will find default.env). Open this file in a text editor. You will need to change all of the "60" references like I previously mentioned. You will likely also need to change the value of ORACLE_HOME as well as many others. This is why using the existing default.env would probably be easier.
If you carefully read the contents of summit.env, you should be able to understand what needs to be changed. I'm sure many of the directories noted in the file won't even exist. You need to set them to the equivalent on your system.
3. If you plan to use a "gen.bat" file to compile the application, you will likely need to open it in a text editor first. Verify that FORMS_PATH, ORACLE_HOME, PATH and all other variables are correctly set.
4. If you are using Developer Suite there is no Apache, so setting the Alias is a little different. However, as previously mentioned, this is unnecessary anyway IF you copy the demos CLASS and JAR files to the ..\forms\java directory. You will then not use the Alias reference in your ARCHIVE and ARCHIVE_JINI entries. For example simply do this:

archive=frmall_jinit.jar,RoundedButton.class
5. As mentioned, your formsweb.cfg entries will look like this and should be at the bottom of the file below the existing entries:

The reference to serverApp is for access to the .dat file, which I will assume you have in your C:\summit directory. Again, remove the Alias reference and copy the file within the Oracle Home where the original is found. If the demo .dat file is named "Registry.dat", rename the original so you can revert back to it later.
This file should be stored in:...\forms\java\oracle\forms\registry
If you really want to create the Alias and follow the instructions as closely as possible, you will find that the Alias should be configured in the following:
...\j2ee\DevSuite\application-deployments\forms\formsweb\orion-web.xml
Use the existing entries as an example. Your entry will look something like this:
<virtual-directory virtual-path="/summit" real-path="C:\summit" />
If you are new to all of this, I would recommend that you flip through some of the documentation. Starting with a demo before understanding how the product works is probably not the best approach. Here are some references to useful documentation. References to additional documentation can be found in link on these pages. Be aware that most documentation which was created for Forms 9.0.4 will still apply to 10.1.2.

can u guys solve the problems??? i also working on the ARM board which came from China. my problem also almost the same.still configure how to run the java program on that board. i just read from this journal, http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/8757. this author said that we don't have to install JVM in our target. we just have to use GCJ (GNU Compiler for Java), which is will compiles our Java source down to the machine code for the target. but, the author used PowerPC target, that was the issue. i already try this method but it was not working yet. i also don't know why yet.please let me know if u guys can slove your problems. tq~

I have the Photoshop CS5 Extended installed, but have just got around to using it to size some photos for an internet circle only to find that I cannot open my cameras Raw files, a Sony Alpha 77. The camera is obviously to new for the software installed with my version of CS5.

Your camera was supported in Adobe Camera Raw 6.5 but you could install the last update for CS5 which is version 6.7.1

Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto.
