Need help installing acrobat on Mac

I just bought Acrobat Pro.
When I tried to download it to install on my Mac, it stopped at 42% and it won't let me resume... Any ideas?

need a little more detail:
System Used
whether downloaded copy (meaning purchased direct from Adobe and then used download feature), or bought a pacakaged copy.
How much Hard drive space left on computer.
how much needed for install.
Did you repair permissions on computer, before starting.
(Please note information is given by an Experienced User of Acrobat. I am not an employee of Adobe.)

It was previously installed on the desktop without any difficulty.  Now I'm trying to install Acrobat X on the laptop and am getting the message that it cannot be installed on this operating system (both are Vista-64). Any ideas?

i'm having the hardest time installing my newly purchased (through newegg) evga geforce 8800GT video card into my mac pro (8-core model purchased in early 2008.)
when i first installed it and booted up, i heard a nonstop beeeeeeeeep. i called evga and they quickly explained to me that the supplemental power cord for the video card wasn't plugged in.
this is where my problem lies: i can't find where to plug in the supplemental power cords! it looks like two white plastic pieces each with 3 pins in them. do i need to buy another adapter? do i have the wrong card? i'm searching all over google for help and even watched a couple youtube videos but can't seem to find anyone whos having the power cord problem like i am. thanks in advance!

    thanks so much for responding.
this is the card i purchased: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130319
is this not the same one as the one you sent me?
i saw those "aux ports" as noted in the link you sent me. but i dont think the cable i have connects to those.
the aux power cable that came with my video card is shown in this picture:

Windows 7 Pro. When I install the Master Collection, everything installs with
the exception of Acrobat X pro. The messages tells me that one or more did not
install correctly with the Acrobat X pro icon there. It will not install.

You need to purchase the upgrade disk (it is a DVD). Then just put it in and run the installer. When it was first released it was $29 USD, do not know if the price has changed or not.
The usual precautions about backing up your data apply. In fact I would recommend either making a Disk Image of your current boot drive or using something like Carbon Copy Cloner to copy it to an external drive. I upgraded 5 machines from Leopard to Snow Leopard without any issues, but better to be safe than sorry.

Actually, you can and have downloaded from there, because that message only happens when the download is finished.
The message is entirely normal, and is Apple's way of encouraging the world to use the Mac App Store. That doesn't help you because Acrobat isn't in the Mac App Store - it isn't allowed there.
So, what to do? Change your system settings
Please follow the steps given below to resolve this issue -
System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Allow applications downloaded from > Anywhere

What version of OS X? Some people have luck by clearing their caches. This can be done with Applejack in 10.5. Onyx will work in SL.

  • Need help installing Adobe Pro 9 Product code [removed by moderator] to my new PC tower.

Need help installing Adobe Pro 9 to my new PC.

    Hi albertc40027908,
You might need to deactivate Acrobat 9 from your old machine.
Then, install the software from a CD (if you have) and activate with the same serial number.
If you don't have a CD, then you might install Acrobat 9 pro from the below mentioned link:
    Download Acrobat products | 9, 8
    Hope this helps.

  • I need help installing flash on windows 8

I need help installing flash on windows 8

Chris… No I was using the desktop version, I cannot stand the M version, guess it would be nice if I had  a touch screen..…when I finally got my computer to download the Acrobat Standard XI program, not sure how it worked, but I think it had something to do with Windows 8 not allowing itself to update all my apps and programs, even though my computer was set to automatically update any Windows/Microsoft updates…finally I got my Windows updates done, it downloaded like 36 files…and then I had to restart,(which also could have been playing a factor)…so finally got the program downloaded on Windows 8…but then I tried to run the new program and it says install serial #...so I assume that it was asking for the serial # for the Acrobat Standard XI…finally after googling the web, I found somebody that said try your older serial # from the previous program, and when I did this it finally works.. you would think with a brand new Windows computer I would have no problem installing Windows Updates…somebody needs to make a sticky about this, I am sure I am not the only one haiving this problem..
    Thanks,

  • I need help installing bootcamp

I need help installing Bootcamp. Can I take it into the Apple store for help to do this?

You're not installing Boot Camp, it's already on your Mac, you are installing Windows into a Boot Camp created partition.
Start by reading the Boot Camp directions, and back up your Mac before you do.
