Need help installing Photoshop on Windows 7 computer

I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended with Windows 7 and it keeps saying that Adobe Acrobat 5 is not compatible and it won't give me install instructions

As Pat said, where is that Acrobat 5 reference coming from? If you really forcibly installed an old version of Acrobat (which should be impossible, but you never know...), the globally shared PDF libraries would not be compatible and trigger this warning...

Need some help installing photoshop onto my new computer. Way back when I was in college I purchased photoshop. It has worked fine for everything that I do, plus I know all the tricks to this particular version. It has only been installed on 2 computers before...both my own computers. Now we have a new computer because the last one broke & I haven't been able to download the program. I have the cd etc but wondering why I can't download it. Could it be because it is so old....?? Chris… No I was using the desktop version, I cannot stand the M version, guess it would be nice if I had a touch screen..…when I finally got my computer to download the Acrobat Standard XI program, not sure how it worked, but I think it had something to do with Windows 8 not allowing itself to update all my apps and programs, even though my computer was set to automatically update any Windows/Microsoft updates…finally I got my Windows updates done, it downloaded like 36 files…and then I had to restart,(which also could have been playing a factor)…so finally got the program downloaded on Windows 8…but then I tried to run the new program and it says install serial #...so I assume that it was asking for the serial # for the Acrobat Standard XI…finally after googling the web, I found somebody that said try your older serial # from the previous program, and when I did this it finally works.. you would think with a brand new Windows computer I would have no problem installing Windows Updates…somebody needs to make a sticky about this, I am sure I am not the only one haiving this problem..

I need to install photoshop to a school computer. I have found it is imposible to install CC from online becuase the computer blocks installs from online. So what I did was bring a portable version of photoshop from home to school. I doint have to install the version, so it worked better. But i was never able to get it to work fully. When I launched the app it told me that the comoputer didnt allow registry editing, and it wouldnt work giving me error 16. So my question is if there are any loopholes I cloud go thorught to get it to work on a computer I cant edit the registry or anything important, maybe make it work only from the flash drive or hard drive.

You probably need to work this out with the system administrator at your school. There are reason for having these types of restrictions in place and it usually means approval/adjustment is needed to make an allowance for installing one's own software.

I need help installing Photoshop on my Macbook Pro.

I am trying to install Photoshop on my Macbook pro running OSX 10.6.8 for my student photographer daughter. Every time I try to install either the 30 day trial or buy the monthly plan it tells me that the computer can't establish a secure connection and suggests that the url has changed. I checked it on my Mac at work, today but it looks fine. She needs Photoshop, not necessarily the fastest newest version for college, but needs to use it from this older Macpro. Any thoughts?

Need help installing Elements 12 on new computer!

I have used the correct serial number, I called the help support desk and the technician told me that she didn't know what to do to fix the issue. Any suggestions?
The editing portion of the software downloaded to the new computer works just fine. However the organizer doesn't load at all. I tried re-loading it but the system tells me I have two many computers.
I can't deactivate the old one as the all-in-one monitor does not work.
Any suggestions? Please don't tell me to just buy Elements 13...I can't yet.

Contact Adobe support using chat and ask them to reset your activation count - ask for nothing more than that or they might tell you they do not support your older software and not help at all. After that you should not be getting a "two many computers" message when you try to install and activate.

I have a new computer and I want to install my PS6 on it. I tried, but it says something about the code being counterfeit. Is this because I have it already installed on my old computer? Is there a way for me to install it on my new computer? Please help.

No, you get two activations. If the server thought you were using too many, it would tell you that you exceeded your allowed number.
Do you get a red x when you input the serial number, or you successfully input the serial number and get this error when you attempt activation?
If you bought it off Ebay or Craigslist instead of direct from Adobe, chances are you got a counterfeit, Adobe caught on and retired the number.

Which version of mac os x are you using?
That looks like the install files for a windows operating system.
You would need the photoshop elements 6 disk for a mac operating system.

Need help installing Virtual box Windows VM's

I am installing virtual box on wife's mac.   I got the instructions here: http://osxdaily.com/2011/09/04/internet-explorer-for-mac-ie7-ie8-ie-9-free/
I did it previously and it all worked well. Recently the windows session license expired so I reinstalled that portion and it worked for about a week. Then the Virtual box program just stopped working.   So I uninstalled the virtual box and am attempting to reinstall all components.
First step is install Virtual box from here: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads   This went ok andvirtual box runs but there are no VM's.
There is then a script to install the windows VM's. It is failing.
Script is accessed by copyinf this command into terminal:

Here is how I install mine, for numbers I will assume you have a 100GB HDD and 2GB of RAM:
Boot from Win7 DVD and create two partitions, then install Windows7 on one of them. During the install Windows will create a 3rd partition to boot from. You will now have:
sda1 - 100MB - Windows Boot - boot flag
sda2 - 50GB - Windows 7 - no flags
sda3 - 50GB - Unpartitioned Space - no flags
Next boot into Arch and choose to manually partition the drives using cfdisk, using the unfinished space create 3 logical partitions of the sizes 100MB, 2GB, and 50GB. Mark the 100MB one you just created with a boot flag and unmark the 100MB one Windows created.
Now you should have:
sda1 - 100MB - Windows Boot - no flags
sda2 - 50GB - Windows 7 - no flags
sda3 - 50GB - Unpartitioned Space - no flags
sda5 - 100MB - Linux Boot - boot flag
sda6 - 2GB - Linux Swap - no flags
sda7 - 50GB - Arch - no flags
Click OK/Confirm/Write and then continue to the next step - File Systems and Mountpoints.
Here you need to set the FS for sda5,6,7 and make sure not to touch sda1,2. Choose ext2 for sda5, swap for sda6, and ext3 for sda7. You will also be asked for mountpoints. Pick "/boot" for sda5 and "/" for sda7. Click OK/Confirm/Write and then continue to install Arch like normal, when you get to installing the bootloader make sure to install it on /dev/sda and uncomment the Windows part of the grub/menu.lst file.
Reboot the system and you are done

Need help installing Photoshop CS6 trial on MacBook Pro

I keep trying to install the trial version of Photoshop CS6 on my macbook pro (version 10.6.8) and I was able to download it fine from the download assistant. Once I tried installing it, however I kept coming up with the same error. First it says that the images couldn't be opened because of an invalid checksum, then if I opt to skip that step it comes up with a window letting me install it which I do but once it hits 44% it jumps to 99% and says installation failed due to an inauthentic certificate, saying "Adobe Genuine Software Verification Failure."
How do I fix this???

Sounds like your download got corrupted. You can try downloading it again.

Need help installing Photoshop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13

I have a Dell Precision M4800 running 64-bit Windows 7. Yesterday I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13. I did not have a trial version of the product. I followed the download instructions and used links sent in an email. I used the Adamai/Akamai (sp?) download manager. The downloads took nearly three hours. Following downloads of the big files, I had to refresh/restart to initiate the .exe files download. That's the background info. There is an Adobe Photoshop Elements icon on my desktop but it does not open either program. A window opens with two folders PSE 13 and Readme. When I click on the PSE 13 folder, another window opens with four folders: DEPLOY, PACKAGES, PAYLOADS, RESOURCES, and two applications: OEM and Set-Up. I presume that Set-Up would be the installer but it has 0 KB and when I click on it says "Set-up.exe is not a valid Win32 application." How do I proceed from here? This lengthy download process and problems are the pits. I really need another brain for this.

I am in the same situation as TheaBaker is up to the point where I went through the lengthy downloads, I have the serial numbers available to both Photoshop13 and Elements13. I click on the http://.........win64.exe and I get a message that states the following.
The file archive part of Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Photoshop Elements 13. Please download all parts.
Does this mean I have to re-download both Photoshop13 and Elements13? GASP!!
Adobe could make this a lot easier!! Poor customer service.
