Need help InterVlan Routing on SF300-24P? .

Hello
I really need help with Inter vlan routing via Kerio Controll 7.4.1.
I have several SF300-24P switches (IOS 1.3.0.62) and i have created a several VLAN's.
Vlans: Vlan 10, 100, 200 and interface vlan 213 (for management).
I can ping hosts in the same Vlan via this switches. From switch to host, port is in access mode and between switches ports is in Trunk mode
(also i had a problem here, trunk wasn't working untill i used command: switchport trunk allowed vlan add all).
Also port is in Trunk mode between KERIO and SW1 (switch). interface is in TRUNK mode from switch's side because i don't know how configure interface TRUNK mode on kerio.
On kerio i have configed one physical interface with IP - 172.16.0.1 255.255.255.0 and on the same interface i have created
VLAN 10, VLAN 100 and VLAN 200.
static IP's for this interfaces:
10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0 VLAN 10
192.168.100.1 255.255.255.0 VLAN 100
192.168.200.1 255.255.255.0 VLAN 200
On KERIO i have created DHCP Lease for each VLAN, but i cannot get IP's from DHCP. So i assigned static IP's  to computers
(for example for VLAN100 PC, VLAN 200 PC and so on) but they cannot ping each other when they are in different vlans, so inter vlan routing itsnot working. but with static IP on the PC, i can ping every VLAN's IP address on KERIO.
so pls tell me how i must configure inter vlan routing on kerio, is it possible?
or what must i do? where is my mistake? maybe when i put IP on pysical interface?
here is my configs and pls help and give me config example.

i have excluded many interfaces because hey have same configs.

Yes Kerio is capable for routing. i wanted to make InterVlan routing via kerio Ccontroll, but i can't and that's i asked here, i need to know reason.
I have modified 1 switch to L3, and inter vlan routing its now working (without Kerio) and i hope this switches dont have problem when they are DHCP server also.
thanx for help. I Hope i didnot have much mistakes in config.

  • Need to access settings of SF300-24p

Hi I was just recently hired in my company, we have an sf300-24p switch but I cant find the console cable for it, I think it needs a female to female db9 serial cable, all I have is  a DB9 serial to rj45 console cable for the 2801 router, also I cant find the IP address of the sf300 switch, it is directly connected to the 2801 router, I issued a show arp to the router but didnt find the switch's IP add for web access, to sum it up I have no way of configuring the switch, is there any way to find the IP address of the switch? It also dosnt show on show cdp neighbors, thanks!

    Daniele,
You would be able to do something similar, password recovery, if you had the serial cable.
I'll update this post with instructions in a minute. I don't know if this is a project you need to get done today, but it sounds like that serial cable will make your life a heck of a lot simpler. If you can't wait to order one, is there somewhere you can get one locally?
    Best,
    David
    Password recovery steps:
You'll need a serial connection to the switch with the following serial connections settings (I'm using Putty in the screenshot):
You will see a prompt during boot right after the cisco logo made out  of #s that says "Autoboot in 2 seconds - press RETURN or Esc. to abort  and enter prom."
Hit return, and you will get the following startup menu:
You'll want  [3] Password Recovery Procedure  and follow the prompts to reset the password without erasing your config file.

  • Need help selecting router

    Hello All,
I need some help in selecting the best router for our wireless setup.  I have never setup a wireless network, so please forgive if I am a little lost.  I have an older laptop, HP Pavilion ze4400 (windows xp) and a brand new gateway (windows 7).  The gateway has a built in wireless adapter.  The HP came with an 802.11b cardbus thingy.  I have been told that an N router is the best, but I am concerned that it will not work with the older HP.  Will an N router be backwards compatible with the b?  If not, can I just buy a new adapter for the HP?  If so, what router and adapter should I select?

Just about every 802.11n router sold will be able to operate in a "Mixed" mode, allowing you to use your B, G or N devices simultaneously.  An 802.11n router will allow you to take advantage of the improved wireless capabilities with any device that supports N.  So, no need to worry about backwards compatibility.
The only thing that may be a concern (depending on how old the 802.11b adapter is) is wireless security.  Chances are it supports WPA security, but if not you can fall back to WEP or the better option, buy a newer adapter.

  • Need help with routing a network in VMware.

I have one network with the IP of 192.168.2.10. A router is setup with two networks. The first network has an IP of 192.168.2.3 and the second network has an IP of 192.168.3.2. Then there is one final network whose IP is 192.168.3.10. My goal is to set
up route table entries and have all the networks be able to ping each other. The route table entries I am referring to is the
route -p add command. If someone could help me understand what entries I should input so all the networks can ping each other, that would be great. Thanks. If you need a picture of the network, I have a diagram.

    Hi Brandon,

  • Need help connecting router to router

I have a BEFW11S4 with two computers connected via wire.  The BEFW11S4 is connected to a WRT300N via wire.  The WRT300N has two computers (including the main) and an xbox connected by wire and others via wireless.
All items have internet access, however I cannot transfer files from the computers connected to the BEFW11S4 (running xp) to the computers connected to the WRT300N (running vista).
Not sure if I have the BEFW11S4 set up right (it auto set it up w/ Linksys EasyLink Advisor) or if this is a Windows issue.
I also cannot see the two computers connected to the BEFW11S4 from the vista computers (they are all on same workgroup), and once again, not sure if this is a windows thing or a mistake with router set up.  Any help would be appreciated...I'm a bit of a newb at this stuff.

Is the WRT300N router is conected through LAN or WAN port ....
It should be connected to the LAN to LAn port on the BEFW11S4 router ....
also disable the DHCP of the router .... & change the LAN Ip - 192.168.1.2 .... then both the computers from both the routers will come in one network ....

  • Need help with routing - 2 ASA's in one site

    Hi all,
I'm sort of a newbie to all this so sorry if im not clearly asking this the right way.
In the office, we have an ASA used as primary internet, which is on the 10.55.152.0/29 network
Im currently trying to bring up a secondary ASA for back up internet, which is on 10.55.152.8/29 network
My issue is that i cant seem to ping the inside interface of the secondary ASA for backup internet.
The core switch these connect to is a Nexus 5548.
Is there any sort of routing i need to do on the Nexus, or even on the second ASA?
    Thanks!

  • OSPF with InterVlan Routing

    Dear All,
Please help me about it ...
The same network I have designed and working fine on the RIPV2 but I want it on the OSPF but it works on the packet tracer but not on the GNS3. In this diagram there are multiple areas and there are three ABRs connected to the backbone area. The others interfaces are in the area1, area2 and area3 respectfully and in that side I need the intervlan routing.
Is it possible in the ospf the same like in the diagram ?
What type of OSPF (Point to Point or Point to Multipoint ) will be required as the R1 is the backbone router further connected with the Internet on the BGP. ?
Please sir, advise me about it.
    Thanks
    Best Regards
    Ali Khan

    Hi Jon,
    Thank you very much,
    1) The link between the ABRs and R1 is the wireless 1.4gig bridge link on the 5Km distand and the interface is configured with IP ospf network point-to-point.
    2) On the packet tracer all the neibour displayed with its router-id, even on GNS3 but it does not show the route of other interface like area 1 or area 2.. Means the backbone router do not show the routes of other areas..(area 1 or area 2 and area 3)
    3) i have tried alot and i dont think that i missed any route but the backbone area do not show the routes of subnterface (for Vlan, Router on the Stack).
    Thanks

  • Help with simple interVlan routing on L3 switch

Hi all - I just can't get my head around this really simple interVlan routing issue.  I have two VLANs (1 & 6) on a 3560 L3 switch.  I simply need to route between them.  Here is how I have it set up:
Firewall is the VLAN1 client's default gateway:
    10.10.22.1 /255.255.255.0
    3560switch config:
    ip subnet-zero

    no shutdown
    ip classless
int gi0/31 (an available unused port)
    no switchport
    ip address ?.?.?.?

    Hi,
With the above configuuration vlan 1 users will be going to firewll and if they want to reach vlan 6 firewall should have rule to permit for vlan 6 subnet and route towards vlan 6 interface and which is not there is your network.
Just clarify few things you want firewall to come into picture for every traffic which goes between vlan or not and in interface gi0/31 you will be connecting router also is this router is sending traffic to outside world if yes then you need to change some design configuration to route tha traffic from vlans to outside world.
If you want only inter vlan routing between vlan 1 and vlan 6 via firewall then make another zone in firewall and place that in vlan 6 with ip address as given in vlan 1 so that vlan 6 users can point traffic towards vlan 6 interface of firewall and in firewall just permit the vlan 6 communication with vlan 1 and drop a route for vlan 6 towards switch vlan 6 interface.
and if between vlans you dont want firewall to come into picture then the best is create three vlan one for vlan 1,vlan 6 and outside vlan between router and firewall and drop a default route towards firewall. In this case inter vlan routing will be taken care by switch and traffic towards outside world will scaaned as per rule given in firewall.
    Hope to help

I really need help on this..

Hold the reset button down for 30seconds and then release it. Unplug the power cable for 10 seconds. try accessing the set up page once again and see if it makes a difference.

Need help accessing the router web page.  I have been told my router is acting like a switch and the IP address is not in the proper range.  I have tried reseting the router (hold for 30 sec and unplug for 5 mins).  Didn't work.
    thanks

What router are you using?  Almost all Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default local IP address, but there is at least one that uses 192.168.16.1 , namely the WTR54GS  (not the WRT54GS).
You need to try again to reset the router to factory defaults.
To reset your router to factory defaults, use the following procedure:
    1) Power down all computers, the router, and the modem, and unplug them from the wall.
    2) Disconnect all wires from the router.
    3) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
    4) Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release it, then let the router reset and reboot (2-3 minutes).
    5) Power down the router.
    6) Connect one computer by wire to port 1 on the router (NOT to the internet port).
    7) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
    8) Power up the computer (if the computer has a wireless card, make sure it is off).
    9) Try to ping the router. To do this, click the "Start" button > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. A black DOS box will appear. Enter the following: "ping 192.168.1.1" (no quotes), and hit the Enter key. You will see 3 or 4 lines that start either with "Reply from ... " or "Request timed out." If you see "Reply from ...", your computer has found your router.
    10) Open your browser and point it to 192.168.1.1. This will take you to your router's login page. Leave the user name blank (note: a few Linksys routers have a default user name of "admin" (with no quotes)), and in the password field, enter "admin" (with no quotes). This will take you to your router setup page. Note the version number of your firmware (usually listed near upper right corner of screen). Exit your browser.
If you get this far without problems, try the setup disk (or setup the router manually, if you prefer), and see if you can get your router setup and working.
If you cannot get "Reply from ..." in step 9 above, your router is dead.
If you get a reply in step 9, but cannot complete step 10, then either your router is dead or the firmware is corrupt. In this case, use the Linksys tftp.exe program to try to reload your router with the latest firmware. After reloading the firmware, repeat the above procedure starting with step 1.
If you need additional help, please state your ISP, the make and model of your modem, your router's firmware version, and the results of steps 9 and 10. Also, if you get any error messages, copy them exactly and report back.
Please let me know how things turn out for you.

  • Need help Setting up Multiple Static Ip , 1 for each port of the fios router

Need help Setting up multiple Static Ip on my fios router
I have been trying to figure out how to set up multiple ip in my fios router.
However I kind of managed how to set up multiple static ip However the way I want it is for each port of my router to have an external ip signed to it. ( like 4 different modem in 1 )
Verizon gave me 5 static ip but they can not help me how to set it up.
Have anyone here done more then one static ip on different ports? I assume that the process will be the after the second static ip.

You want to set up Static Nat. You will not assign the IP to a port, but rather to a local machine. Figure out what machines you want your IP's to go to. Under the firewall section you will see static nat. Pick the machine you want and enter one of the IP's you were assigned.

I can ping everyone on my segement, I can connect to my novell web server netscape navigator but can't resolve it's name, i have to use it's ip address. I can remote logon. I lloked for a resolv.conf file but can't find one, help!!!!
    Danny

Edit /etc/resolv.conf (it may not exist) with the following lines:
    domain your.domain.name
    nameserver your.primary.dns.ip
    nameserver your.secondary.dns.ip
    search your.domain.suffix
The last line is optional, but please do substitute those values for the ones that you use.
As far as a default route goes, just edit /etc/defaultrouter (may not exist) and put the ip of your default gw on a single line.

I need help moving my Photoshop 7 from my old laptop to my new laptop which is running Windows 7 Enterprise. I’ve tried two routes unsuccessfully. I install the CD, it does not autoplay. I execute Autoplay.exe at the root directory, I am welcomed, I choose English, I accept the EULA, I get the Install/Explore choices window, with the Install button already selected, I click the Photoshop button, the CD spins, and nothing happens.  In the 2nd attempt I execute Setup.exe in the Photoshop directory, and nothing happens at all.  I’m never even offered the opportunity to enter my product code. What should I do?

There could is likely a compatibility problem between the old software and the newer operating system.
