Need Help Itunes Store

My itunes music and podcast work fine.  But, I cannot load itunes store.  The load bar gets to about 50% every time and stops.  Please help?

Does it show any errors? If not just go on the uninstaller and look for itunes and click repair. It worked for me

  • App hung on "waiting"; during update, I lost my wifi connection; now cannot delete to reinstall (no X), syc does not help; itunes store says it is installed and I cannot reinstall; deleting from itunes and synching does not remove "hung app"; HELP

App hung on "waiting"; during update, I lost my wifi connection and the app hung; now cannot delete to reinstall (no X), synching does not help; itunes app store says it is installed, therefore I cannot reinstall; deleting the app from itunes and synching does not reinstall the app on the ipod; the app developers have not helped and told me to check with Apple (which I am doing, since I am past my 90 day tech support). Hoping someone can help with this hung "waiting' app problem.

    - First try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next download the app on the computer and try to sync.
    - Last, restore from backup.

  • Need help: iTune 10.2.1 video is glitchy

Is there any good reason why the video glitches on the latest version of iTunes? It didn't in the last one. I think I'm going to stop updating iTunes until Apple can guarantee me a Windows program that works like all the other Windows programs I have.
Or: Is there a possible fix? I haven't got any programs open but to be perfectly honest, this rig has no problem dealing with 2- 3d games and a 1080i broadcast running at the same time so that should be a non-issue. I tried giving iTunes higher priority in the Task Manager... It continued as if I hadn't allocated more resources to it. Its almost like its programed to run slowly regardless of hardware. I defragment all my hard disks, cleaned the registry, and cookies. Please let me know how I can fix this... Someone, please.

Still no change in 10.2.2.... Apparently this isn't a bug Apple plans on fixing. Should I post a screen video of the fps drop? I played a movie I got on the iTunes store in Standard def and it was glitchy... I played that same movie in 1080p h.264 MP4 (almost exactly the same file format) in Windows Media Player and it doesn't glitch and looks worlds better. Help me Apple... I'm not sure I get what your mission with iTunes is. Media-mediocrity? I tried playing the 1080p mp4 in itunes and it glitched every frame. It is defintely the player so would you please patch it up. I won't even use my free digital copies from Bluray purchases on the iTunes store till this bug is fixed.
Don't use iTunes on Windows, its a broken program. Sync your phone but don't get hosed on glitchy videos that you can't watch on every device.

  • How come you need an iTunes Store account to get album art?

I have no problem with this, because I do have an account. But on my sister's computer, she can't get album art because she doesn't have an iTunes Store account. Mainly because you need a credit card to set one up, and she's only 10. She just uses iTunes to burn her CD's to play on her iPod, she's only 10, why does she need an account to get album art?

I don't think any of us can definitively answer this one since it is decided by somebody like iTunes marketing. However, Apple is a for-profit corporation. The album artwork download is definitely a service for customers, and maybe a free perk to potential customers. If you have that account you are just one tiny click away from making a purchase and don't even have time to have second thoughts that you might have if you had to enter a credit card number each time. Kind of like a store offering something free inside to get you to walk through the door.

  • Internet explorer needed for itunes store?

I had IE on my comp - at one point it worked but it stopped working about a month ago; It won't load any web pages. I have internet connectivity and can access everything through Firefox... except AIM 6.0 and the iTunes store - which is really annoying because I've been listening to the same songs for a while now and want to buy some new tracks... but can't. Is there a way to get iTunes to work without internet explorer on a PC? Please help!
Dell Latitude 620   Windows XP Pro

Internet explorer is built in to windows. But you don't use it to browse the ITMS. iTunes is a self contained browser. Case in opint. I use firefox on an daily basis and can still browse the iTMS just the same. Your connectivity issue is completely different I'm afraid.

  • I have tried the following, "netsh winsock, reset", but I get a message that says the required operation requires elevation run as administrator . this is my laptop and I am an administrator, please help , itunes store is the only program i have issues

I get a message that says, the required operation requires elevation <run as administrator>. I am the owner of this laptop and I have administrative authority, why does this show and how can I fix this. Itunes store is the ONLY program I am having trouble with.Very , very frustrating.!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I will assume you're using Windows Vista-7:
    Try these steps instead:
1 Click start, and in the start menu search, type "cmd" (without the quotes) DO NOT PRESS ENTER!
    2. Right click the "cmd" search result
    3. Click "Run as Administrator"
    4. If you get a pop up message, click yes or continue
    5. Type the command in the window as you did above.
In an effort to try to prevent programs from messing with your computer, programs don't run under your administrator account unless you tell them to or they ask. This gives the Administrator (elevated) privelleges that you need.

  • Need help - iTunes let me buy $38.00 of stuff w/ no money!

Okay, last night I was buying songs and apps. I bought $38.0o total of songs and apps, now I can't buy anything because iTunes says that I owe $38.00! How could it let me buy that stuff with no credit card info? Please help!
    Thanks....

From my own experience, some time ago I had created an iTunes account with no intention of purchasing anything from the iTunes store, and so did not register a payment method with Apple. Fast forward a few months, and I wanted to try it out and rent a movie after browsing through the store. iTunes prompted me to add a payment method, and so I did and lived happily ever after.
A little while ago, I wanted to purchase something else, and having been months since my last purchase, I was not sure what card I had on file. I assumed that iTunes would pre-authorize the purchase against my card and so I downloaded away. A day or so after that, I received an e-mail invoice that indicated a negative balance. Sure enough, I had not updated my card information and iTunes was trying to bill a card that had expired.
So, in short, it does not appear that iTunes Store verifies funds in the account prior to authorizing the account to purchase whatever item. If the payment method is declined, it appears that there is a block placed on the account until the outstanding balance is restored to zero. I do not believe that you are allowed to initiate a purchase without some kind of payment method registered with iTunes Store.
In conclusion, I'm wondering why you were purchasing so many music items and apps when you knew that you did not have the money to pay for it? I would recommend you re-register a valid credit/debit card and pay your balance.

  • SOMEONE PLEASE HELP - ITUNES STORE CLOSES ITUNES COMPLETELY

HELP ME PLEASE. I am trying to be calm but after a month and a half am feed up. When I click on the scroll bar for the itunes store, it says accessing store and then the itunes program closes completely, no warning or error messages, just disappears. GONE. I then have to double click on itunes to open the whole program again. Cannot access the store at all. If no one can help me fix this, is there another online music store that people can use?
    PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps- diagnostics says its connected to the itunes store.

None of that stuff has changed at all, the only thing was that i downloaded the new itunes......
Many antivirus/antispyware and privacy filter software will treat an upgrade as a completely new program, so it's possible that something you have on your system is shutting down iTunes.
When i get home tonight i will try another unistall and install.
Make sure you follow Bugie's tips for doing a thorough uninstall. I don't remember if Bugie includes this, but you'll want to make sure you do the following to be sure the old QuickTime installation is completely removed:
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
    6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
Do you know how i can get ahold of apple to help me with this?
Apple doesn't provide free phone support for iTunes for Windows. You can get paid support by calling their tech support number, but I doubt you'll get better advice than you will from people in these forums.
    Good luck.

  • Help - 'iTunes Store is not supported in this country'?

First, since I'm new to this, please forgive me it this doesn't belong here.
So, I just got an iTouch today and followed the directions that came with it for setup. But when I attempted to access the iTunes store, I saw the following message:
'Cannot Connect to the iTunes Store
The iTunes Store is not supported in this country.'
I'm very confused by this message, since I live in NYC.
Anyone come across this before? And if so, how did you correct this?
    Thanks in advance.

Log into your itunes account on your computer. Then sync you ipod. This should set up your itunes account properly on your ipod.

  • Help, iTunes store is displaying a blank white screen...???

I get nothing but a blank white screen when visiting iTunes-Store.  It was working a couple of days ago.  Does it have something to do with upgrading Flash-Player (I hope not)?  Is anyone else having this problem?

I suppose when Apple decides that my money is important to them then they will fix this issue.  I can view the iTunes store with much older versions of iTunes and Safari on several other accounts and computers in my house.
