Need Help On Adobe Premiere elements 12

I have made a recording on my DVR  and captured it onto my laptop with the Hauppauge capture device without a problem  I have edited it with the Premiere elements but upon reviewing it it looks a little more pixilated than the original.
What are the correct settings to finalize it without it seeming so pixilated Im looking to save it to a external hard drive   Thanks

YouTube won't allow you to  upload a video that long directly from Premiere Elements.
If you've got a modified YouTube account that allows longer videos, you can do so by manually uploading a video you output using Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD with the YouTube HD preset.

I can drag a large high rez jpeg into timeline. Then when I click to playback....it gets more pixelated. That's a bad beginning. Then, when I go to export it, I've tried several extensions. All look bad during playback on YouTube. This should be pretty simple. High quality jpeg, but is fuzzy in movie. What's going wrong?

    hi Bill -
ok fine. I have PSDs too. I tried what you said.
I put a PSD right beside a JPEG in the timeline. I rendered it (which I
didn't know to do because the instructions don't even mention it. The
instructions are terrible. Seems it leaves out a lot of info.)
So, then I click PLAY on my monitor. I see no difference between the PSD
and the JPEG yet. So, if I want to put this on YouTube, what's the best way
exactly, without gettting too technical?  It looks like I have the choice
between Exporting in Mpeg or Quicktime or Windows Media. I think youtube
    likes wmv.

When you drag the stills to the Timeline, there should be a red line
above them. Press Enter to Render the Timeline.

Do not know the particulars of PrE 2, but in later versions, you can
Rt-click on the Program Monitor, and choose Magnification = 100%, rather
than Fit. You might have to resize your Program Monitor, but check at 100%.

    Also remember a few points:

1.) You are looking at a DVD-quality image now, and that was designed
with low-rez CRT TV's in mind, and NOT hi-rez computer monitors. DVD vs
hi-rez sources and displays is probably less than what VHS vs DVD was, not
    that long ago.
2.) You are looking at an emulation, a preview
3.) Your images have already been compressed to JPEG once, loosing
quality. That is why I always work in PSD, especially if there has already
been one JPEG compression, whether in camera, or in the image processing
stage. I keep JPEG either out of my workflow, or as limited, as is
possible. Some do not see the quality loss with JPEG compression, but I do,
and if I can create images that are as good as it gets, I know that my
    clients will be happy.

  • Need help opening Adobe Premiere Elements 11

I purchased a package deal with Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11.   The photoshop portion is working fine, but I can't get the premiere to even open!   I click on the icon on my dock and nothing happens.  There is another icon on my desktop (main screen) but it only gives me an option to 'un-install'.    Is there a phone number to call for Adobe support?   I need real help!!??

    Welcome to the forum.
As the biggest cause of PrE not launching is an obsolete video driver (PSE does not rely so heavily on the video driver), please answer these questions:
What is the make and model of your video card/chip?
Do you have a laptop, or desktop?
What is the installed version of the video driver?
Is that the latest from the nVidia, or AMD/ATI Web site? Do not trust your OS to tell if you have the latest.

  • Need help with Adobe Premiere Elements 9 for the Windows XP PC

Just got it today, so I could make my own video and audio files from pre-existing ones.  I first used a version of Adobe Premiere back in school in the '90s, and seemed to easily make them there, while not working on school work.  There was a row for inserted video, and a row below that for inserted audio.  I'm out of college currently, and just bought Elements 9, as said, but am struggling with it.  Could someone please tutor me to get me started?  Perhaps even talk over the phone?  I'm trying to combine different video and audio tracks into a new singular video/audio file.
    Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum, but unfortunately, you have posted to the Premiere Pro, CS 4 and Earlier forum.
Instead, you should post to the PrElements Forum, as few here will know anything about PrE 9.
Now, the starting secret of PrE is your Source Files. Can you tell us the full details of those?
Next, matching those to the correct Project Preset, is the next step. Can you tell us what you chose at New Project?
For a list of some of the resources for learning PrE, see this ARTICLE.

What are Source Files?  You mean the videos I'm using?  The main one is here:
    http://www.tfarchive.com/cartoons/videoclips/bones.php
Two to four additions to it will be used with video parts from here:
    http://www.tfarchive.com/cartoons/videoclips/us_commercials.php
And my first project is a .prel file.  Is that what you meant?
Is it possible I could get assistance over the phone?
    Thanks.

I created a more precise list of what I wish to combine to make one new video program:
    Audio:
    http://www.tfarchive.com/cartoons/videoclips/bones.php
    Transformers_S2.mpg (0:00 - 0:33) (All)
    Video:

    Fade to
    http://www.tfarchive.com/cartoons/videoclips/us_commercials.php
Rodimus.mpg (0:00- 0:08) (Note: Should start after grey jet passes by on top of screen (less than a second in), and stop after blue robot tramples over the other two robots, cutting off the part where he's shot at from the sky, and all that afterward.)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yd1OmZvU8w
(1:34 - 1:38) (Note: Should start as soon as video beings, and end when the four side robots are shooting their laser guns, and the one in the middle shoots his shoulder-cannons, cutting off the part with the bridge and missiles, and everything else afterward.)
    http://www.tfarchive.com/cartoons/videoclips/us_commercials.php
trypt.mpg (0:15 - 0:16) (Note: Only shows the brief second or two where the five robots quickly transform to one big robot.)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h23kRJ9i058
(5:22 - 5:25) (Note: Should start with all 5 robots appearing onscreen, and end with them, in a combined robot, firing at the screen, cutting off the white laser-shooting base/battle-station and everything else afterward.)
    http://www.tfarchive.com/cartoons/videoclips/bones.php
Transformers_S2.mpg (0:23 - 0:33) (Note: Should start with lava-flowing ending, and lined-walkway appears, and goes to the end.)
Not sure if I can get all of these videos in, in the 33 second time limit. I'm willing to cut either the trypt.mpg clip, and/or the youtube link-clip below it.
I have a youtube downloader program, so no worries there. Also need to know how to cut video so I can make these clips that are from youtube and tfarchive.
I also want the video to contain the same quality as shown from each file here, and all fit the size of the largest file (the youtube one, I think it is).
Please LMK how to do this, and if any of this is unclear. Things like this are all I really want to use APE9 for, so I won't be asking much else here.
    Thanks.

  • Help from Adobe Premiere Elements 11 users needed

I was a big fan of iMovie 6.  Not a fan of any iMovie updates since then.  I'm looking for a video editing program that is closer to the old iMovie as opposed to the new one.   I would not call myself a novice filmmaker, but do not need anything close to Final Cut Pro.    Anyone out there using Adobe Premiere Elements and if so, is it worth the cost to install it.  If it's anything like the newer versions of iMovie, I'll pass.  If it's closer to iMovie 6, I'm in.   Thanks for the help!
    T -

Why not (like me) continue to use iMovie 6? It runs on all versions of OS X, and works well with iDVD 7.

  • Need to remove adobe premiere elements 8.0 from my computer

need to delete adobe premiere elents from my computer and make sure there are no files in my registry please help

    gpark1954
Uninstalling Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 from your computer using Control Panel/Programs does get the program uninstalled, but does not
    answer your question which included.
make sure there are no files in my registry.
And, it does not deactivate the program from your computer. Deactivation is not the same as uninstall.
    1. Open Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 to its Timeline workspace, then Help Menu/Deactivate. Close out of there.
    2. Assuming you are working on Windows 7, 8,  or 8.1 64 bit, go next to Control Panel/Programs, find Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0, and uninstall it.
    3. Download and install the free ccleaner and do a run through of the computer using its regular cleaner and its registry cleaner parts.
    CCleaner - Download
    4. After that is complete, use Run, type in regedit, and, in the Registry Editor, go to Edit Menu/Find
In the Find dialog's Find what:, type in Adobe Premiere Elements 8, and do a Find, Delete, Find Next until there are no more Finds for that what you have typed into the Find what field.
Remember if you are dealing with the registry here. If no experience in this area, then keep away from this and settle for deactivation, uninstall, and wherever the ccleaner has to offer, may not be 100%, but close to it.
Please let us know the outcome.
    Thank you.

  • Help uninstalling Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 Error 1402.???

and when i went to open the program would get
a message that the registration is invalid and to uninstall the program

ive been told by adobe tech that this is because

One thing that can be done to clean Registry values is to run a Registry cleaner, like CCleaner. I would strongly suggest that you first manually create a System Restore Point, and then take advantage of CCleaner's offer to create a Registry backup, just in case. Run it several times to clean out all vestiges of PrE 1.0.
Also, getting back to the problems with PrE 1.0 and burning, please list the full specs. on your system. It is likely that what caused the burns to fail in the earlier version will still be there, and cause problems with PrE 8 too. Pay special attention to your I/O sub-system, i.e. your HDD's, their size, speed, amount of defragmented free space, controller type and how they are allocated.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - are you running as Administrator? You should be.
Also, when you go to install, make sure that all AV, pop-up blocking and spysweeping software is turned OFF, along with all Windows firewalls, etc.

  • Video file help for Adobe Premiere Elements 7

    Hello,
I am not a technical person so I don't really understand all the "big words" per se.
I got my movies converted to a DVD from a company and they sent it to me in an mp4 format which I thought I could just import into Premiere and start to edit.  Well that didn't work.  Trying to figure out how to import it so I could edit it.  I know if I convert it through something the quality will go down.
I don't know anything about codecs but it says the Video Codec is LEAD H264 Decoder (3.0) and the Audio codec is LEAD AAC Decoder.
Hope that helps and someone out there could help me.
    Stacy

    Stacy
Given you have files with .mp4 file extensions on a DVD disc for storage purposes.
And, you want to use these files in a Premiere Elements 7 Windows project. What do you
    mean by
I thought I could just import into Premiere and start to edit.  Well that didn't work.
    How did it not work?
    a. When you opened Premiere Elements 7 and went to Get Media/Files and Folders/ did you
get an error message that prevented you from going further?
    b. If you imported your file into Organize/Media, did you have a problem after you dragged your video to the Timeline view Timeline or the Sceenline view Filmstrip?
    or
    c. Was the issue some place else?
Backing up a little, how did you attempt to import the .mp4 from the DVD disc to Premiere Elements 7?
    a. Copy file from disc and paste to desktop from where you used Premiere Elements Get Media/Files and Folder?
    b. User Premiere Elements 7's Get Media/"DVD(Camcorder or PC DVD Drive)"/Adobe Premiere Elements - Media Downloader?
Once we sort out the above, then I would like to learn more about the properties of your files. Right now we know only that they are .mp4 files that use video compression = LEAD H.264 and audio compression = LEAD AAC. Do you know what we have here...720 x 480 4:3 or 720 x 480 16:9 Widescreen or something else?
Please review the above and do not hesitate to ask for clarification on anything written.
At this point, I am not sure if the problem is related to how you imported that video into Premiere Elements 7 or the properties of the video itself (original or some possible modification of the original).
    Please review and consider.
    Thank you.

  • Help with Adobe Premiere Elements window appearing!

I've owned Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 for about 5 or 6 years now. I still have the original disc and serial number. I installed it on my laptop (Sony Vaio bought in 2009. Runs on Vista), and when I open the program up and click on "files and folders" and double click on a video, I keep getting a pop-up saying "Adobe Premiere Elements is not working." And then the program closes. It frustrates me. I can't afford a new update. Anyway this can be fixed? It never did this to me on my old laptop which I do not have anymore. Thank you for your time.

    blaqk
Before you focus on the Premiere Elements 4 itself, let us look at the computer environment and the properties of the video that you are importing into the project.
    1. Given you have Premiere Elements 4. Is it installed on Windows Vista 32 or 64 bit?
    2. What are the properties of this video that you are importing into the new project and what have you set as the project preset to match the properties of that source media?...I am looking for video and audio compression, frame size, frame rate, interlaced or progressive, file extension, pixel aspect ratio, duration. If you were to import a few jpg photos into a new project would that shut down the project/program as well?
    3. Do you have the latest verision of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 4? Do you have the program set for Run As Administrator and set to run from a User Account with Administrative Privileges?
    4. Is your video card driver version up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the video card?
    5. Is your computer optimized with a program such as ccleaner (regular cleaner and registry cleaner)?

    6. Please describe your computer resources?
Let us start here and then we can decide what next based on your details.

  • Help with Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0

    Hello!
I recently began fooling around with Premiere elements and I had a couple of questions about it:  First, if you could please watch this video:  http://www.youtube.com/user/iTerabithia#p/search/6/01qfQSyq1WI      In the almost beginning it shows Lucy hug Edmund and then a shot of Lucy crying fades into it and then out again.  Do you know how to do that with Adobe Premiere Elements?  And also, how is that color achieved from the very beginning of the video?  And is there any way to do audio effects?  If you could please answer these questions I would appreciate it ever so much!
    Thanks!

    John T.,
Thanks. I should have added that info.
What does that little "scene" look like to you? I'm thinking a Video Clip on a higher Video Track, and maybe with less that 100% Opacity. Guess that if it covers the whole Frame, it would not be a PiP, officially, but would involve the same principles.
    Appreciated,

I purchased this product several years ago, but my computer can no longer find it. I cant find a way to contact to contact Adobe directly, and I am not sure which serial number I have is correct.

What computer operating system was your Premiere Elements 8 running on?
    For now I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit?
If you go to Control Panel/Programs is your program listed there as an installed program? If not, that does not ALWAYS
mean that it is not installed. So, please follow the path...
    Local Disk C

    Adobe
    Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0
and, in the Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0 Folder, look for two files
    a. Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0.exe (double clicking this one should open the program to the Welcome Screen)
    and
    b. Adobe Premiere Elements.exe (double clicking this one should open the program, bypassing the Welcome Screen)
Can you open the program from either of these files? If so, you can create desktop icons for these files by right clicking the file,
selection Send to, followed by Desktop (Create Shortcut).
    Please confirm the above information.
Your serial number should be at Adobe http:/www.adobe.com. And, when signed in there, you should be able to go to "My Products" and
find the same of your product and its serial number (by clicking on the product name). To get new download files if the original purchased
